A new coffee shop called Bean Machine opened up in Executive Towers in Business Bay and the lady there makes all her own cakes and cookies. Far better in my opinion than any I've tasted around. Proper homemade taste. Her brownies are scrumptious! The number is 044560711. Good luck!

I pumped in school whilst working and was able to ebf my lo until she weaned herself at 18 months :) I was excused from duties. I pumped twice a day: At morning break and at the end of the school day before I went home. You can do it! X

I went back to work when my lo was six months old. I had my heart set on a nursery but in the end I felt my lo needed one-to-one care. We have a great nanny and daughter is very happy. I've only done a nursery run once when my nanny was away unexpectedly for a week. I was delighted when the week was over! Much easier to have our lo in our own home especially if I get delayed. My daughter is a happy, well adjusted, clever toddler now and I have a wonderful relationship with our nanny. There's nothing wrong with being at home all day whilst parents work. Personally, my lo has thrived having one-to-one care and we are very happy with our choice. Good luck with whatever you decide but don't rule out a nanny, particularly if you plan to return to work when they are small. The right one is worth their weight in gold! X

Hi! We went to Chaaya Lagoon with our one year old last April. Had a ball. Got a good deal with flights with Emirates and booked an all inclusive package with booking.com. Great resort and all in is well worth it. We only spent an additional 500 dhs on gifts x

The car seat is currently in my car so it means having to take it out and carry it and all our bags and my lo downstairs to the ground floor of my building in the morning. Would be so much easier to drive and park there.

Anyone used this facility? Is it easy to find? I am travelling alone with a toddler and do not want to fiddle with the car seat in the morning trying to get it out of my car, into taxi whilst chasing a tear away toddler! edited by gingercat on 14/10/2013

Hi ladies. I have a friend visiting from Dublin soon and she only has 4 months left on her passport. She is coming for a week. On Emirates website it says passport must be valid for 3 months after exit though lots of other websites say 6 months. Anybody know for sure?

I think what they mean is that it is small enough to transport! You can just throw it in the back seat and your lo has a nice place to sleep even when in someone elses house. Great deal I think. These are quite expensive at home.

You poor thing! Over 70 views and no responses! At 8 weeks you should probably see something. However not all pregnancies are the same nor are cycles. I was 8 weeks pregnant but could only see the sac. Doc said I should have a d and c. A week later saw a little baby with a healthy heartbeat. She is now 15 months old! Wait a week and see what happens. The waiting is awful I know. Thinking of you x

Babyfirst in Festival City have this option. You will need to register first though. No frills nursery. Very old fashioned looking but we are using it while our nanny is away. They have taken great care of our daughter. Give them a try. They are open 7am until 7pm and very reasonable

I also had a great experience with carseat.se. We have a Britax Hiway in our Pajero. Our LO is huge for her age (13.5kg and only 13 months old!) and is very comfy in this seat and has plenty of growing room.

Hi! Welcome to Executive Towers! We have a 13 month old baby girl so if you fancy a playdate on the podium let me know :) I am a working mum but have a nanny. I couldn't find a nursery which opened early enough for me. (I need to be in work at 7.15am). Littlewoods, Willow and Blossom were my top three in that order in terms of facilities, activities etc. Willow had a better baby ratio and better hours for me. Littlewoods was fab but much more expensive than others. Little Wonders was good too. Not as flash as the others but great opening hours, times and price and staff seemed lovely. I visited all when the children were there and there was a nice vibe in all. They are all in the Umm Sheif/Al Manara area so only about 10/15 minutes by car. Hope that helps!
