Candyfloss, The people concerned in those e-mails have to call the police, as this is very serious ones, they have to call Al Amin or the police in dubai, not sure about SA police thou. But they HAVE to act quickly as this situation is going to explode, specially the children photos and the link part. Prayer and positive thought are going right now for those people in your company.

It's the job of flight controller, this person you will never see in the check in, actually they are based in EGHQ small office, work behind the scenes.... this controller depend on what comments the check in agent put once they check in the passengers, they have your skywards number, check the milage grad ( blue/silver or gold not exactly how menu miles on your card) then have the priority in your PNR ( Passenger Name Record) They have a special comment ( won't tell you what is it) if the passenger looks good to be upgraded, then they place these comments...If it happen a passenger was rude, well they place a comment states the same so no controller does do upgrade for that passenger.... then the flight controller do all his checks, finalizing the flight, then maybe he/she will contact the check in agent to ask for more info or ask if specific passengers willing to spelt (on the flight ) and so on.... This is a brief description about the process......

Hi Sugercakes, I won't lie on you, we are in Dubai as we had no option but coming back to UAE. yep we used to live over here and left, it was a very bad year, we lost our life savings, didn't have any other option in staying back home that's why we had 2 options in that time, go to BNE or go back to DXB. we sat down with paper and pen and calculated all our gains and losses, discovered will have more job security in DXB compared with Brisbane's offer.... time had proved to us we made the right decision, as DH had clamped up in the food chain in EK, while the other job had gone down and so many ppl are leaving the other job..... we literally come back to deb as we have no other solution, a matter of fact we had our back to the wall. the point of my post is: It's only you who can tell is this a good option or not, sit down with your husband and write down the pros and cons of staying and pros and cons of moving to dubai. balance every thing money, position, tax as it could contribute to your way to decide what to do, friendships, education and college for children if you are thinking about that as well..... there are a lot of factors will help you, and don't forget you have a job and you like it, it will be uncertain when you come over here, maybe you will find a job in 3 months, or just work part time jobs, or just stay at home ....... how is your husband feelings about his current job? if he is happy? or have no options? this all will defiantly tell exactly what you want, if you both are only board and wants to change places I do recommend that both of you take a nice vacation somewhere in the world. remember you have your safety net back home, when you are in Dubai, house help is your safety net - if you choose that bath - when it comes family to help around with children when you need some time out for your self....... Thanks Nomad, thats what I thought too ... As a spouse of an Ek employee I'm actually entitiled to use any clinic outside but specially for dental but wasn't sure. Gorobattie - I intend to go to the dentist only tomorrow morning. Since its my front tooth I was keen on a good cosmetic dentist incase a cap is required would like it done well. Annedxb - they won't leave your front tooth like that, if they can not provide it in the clinic, the dentist defiantly will refer you to outside clinic does that job. Oh don't worry dear, I am telling this as If I started calculating the money had spent on my teeth, it will be a big amount of money.....and the clinic did took care of that. Good Luck.

I've just broken my front tootth by flossing.. Dont ask how.. but since it had a cavity that was filled from the behind of the tooth it was brittle. This is the first time ever the need for a dentist urgently. Since its my front tooth I got to get it fixed tomorrow, ASAP. I'm not to keen going to the Ek clinic.. Firstly can we go out for dental treatment? Secondly, who would you recommend that we could go to that our insurance covers? Any advice is grateful. Thanks in advance. Anne Annedxb, you need to go to EK Clinic asap, as they will put you on any available dentist to fix your problem, then refer you back to your dentist later.... I have been on a trip and suffered unbearable tooth ache, once I arrived been told my dentist on leave but hence my problem can not stay longer, then gave me appointment with a dentist whom started a root canal treatment just to put my pain off. then after this appointment the clinic put me back to my dentist again - as he is currently on leave - now I am fine and waiting for my appointment. the dentists in ek clinic are fine, why not going to them first? plus you must have the table of the doctors, clinics, hospitals and dentists whom you can always go to without the referral from the clinic. i also Contacted somone who put their details up on the classified saying that she was an expereinced housemaid. When I interviwed her, it turned out that she was a qualified nurse ! hence she wanted more money for the Housemaids position. I asked her why she wants to be a housemaid if she can get a better paid job in a Hospital ? her response .. I dont know madam .. which made me think she was bluffing ! she doesn't have to give you every tiny weeny details about her life and why she is doing this or that. yes there is ( skin tax ) in ME, if you are from certain country depends on that not qualifications, you either get a good paid job or not. I have a first hand experience of knowing some one close to me, her sister was unemployed more than 8 years back in NZ, divorcee and empty nester, and she was a qualified nurse back in NZ.....she attended the right BBQ, then got a job as manager in an airline....only she have nothing to do in her life and she was from a certain country. another one she is young and from UK become a manager in F&B for an airline and she have no experience on airlines and only was working in F&B chain over here......no fence for any body, but I had seen so many qualified ppl from asian countries been on salaries ranged between 3 and 6 K AED been bossed by ppl whom are less qualified than them.....it's the skin tax

Obviously I'd love to have a qualified nurse as a housemaid but I'm just a bit concerned she might up sticks and move as soon as a nursing position came up. my maid was a qualified nursery teacher in Sri Lanca and I also asked the same Q to her and she said basically the money was so low she got more as a maid! me too, and now . my ex house help is qualified school teacher and she is back to her country, and last thing was 3 months ago she come to visit me after she become a mother and school teacher in sri lanka, she is a wonderful lady, and yes every body do sacrifices for the family sake.

I remember one time went to a shop in deira city centre, the shop attendant was a midwife...I was heavily pregnant and a conversation between me and her had started and she gave me some advices, as it was my first time, and then she told me she is a midwife.

Oh OP! I would say you are married to my husband! but DH is not hooked up with PSP! I used to work full time just like you, until been redundant almost 4 years ago, and couldn't get a decent job with a decent salary that makes me walk up 3 am to dress up to work shift work.... When I had salary didn't hear him complaining about laundry isn't washed, or dinner is not on table and all these stuff, even after DS1, the situation continued like that, no complains, just from time to time reminds me to do this or that, but didn't really help that much with DS. when I was pregnant with DS2, got redundant then things really gone south, he started hitting for tat, why this is not clean? why this is not prepared and the list goes on, in the beginning I was silenced by the fact I don't own my money and have to ask him for money, then he started pushing far: like it become my mistake that the power bill come with 300 dollars - and it was a bl00dy winter in NZ that year - and he started going on and on that he breaks his back working and I do nothing but spending his money! in that time I started defending myself telling him I spent my money on that house, then he gave me the ultimate slap on my face, saying since when you had money!! Then h*ll doors opened loos on him, as I couldn't take this unfairness any more. I remembered I started telling him how my salary saved his bl00dy a*se on so many occasions, how I bought gifts to his family when he didn't have money to do so - when arriving from dubai - and if he really wants to know where is my money he can look at any furniture and he will see my money in it, and ended up the night that he can sleep on his couch and kicked him out of my bedroom that I bought with my money. this night was the last time I ever heard the word of I don't have money or I am not contributing enough to our house. as every time he forget himself and buy an extravaganza gifts for any of his family members, I go out to buy something expensive to our DS. men tend to forget themselves, and think they are god almighty and have the right in every thing they do, only couse they are the sole money earner in the house. he tried one time to tell me that I am lazy wife - only couse I served dinner late half an hour - things escalated from that point to tell me that I am ungrateful wife as I live in luxury and don't do what a wife job - like cleaning or cooking and the children are naughty - I told him when I married you this was not in job discretion that I signed for, and if this is the job so I need salary for that, and as I recall I didn't get a salary since day one, so I quit this job. I remember I just stormed out of the house, went to compound garden I stayed there for 3 hours, then went home, I found him served the dinner, fed the children, had a load of laundry, and cleared the table. some times men need tough love to wake them up from their fantasy about they are gods in their houses, if he is zeus then I am hera in my house. <em>edited by Gorobattie on 09/03/2012</em>

any shop that sells gold can buy gold from you. the trick is you can only sell gold that 18 karats or above, you need to know the price of the selling gold from the news paper, as it changes from day to day, then go to the shop and margin to sell it, as they always tells you you loos manufacturing in selling gold. buy ice from the nearest supermarket/fuel station and just pack it with the groceries in the friedg or the freezer.... that should help to keep them cooled. as for the new compressor I have no idea. Good luck

Cannot recall up to what weight bassinets take but we travelled six weeks ago with DS who was 9 months old at the time and the bassinet was almost too small although his weight was still below the limit. last time I flown with a baby - feb 2010 - baby bassinet can take up to 11 kgs or was it 9kgs??? I don't really remember.... my wee boy was 7 months, he is fairly a big boy, and the bassinet was just his length

well, that happened to me personally, I think this website does plant kokies in my computer..... and in every computer does visit the site. I do have an account on LinkdIn, however..... couple of months ago I had posted a thread about my DS2 how he is depraving me from getting enough sleep time and how he is naughty.....then I got someone contacts and did send her email about the situation and she did give me some info how to deal with him....... after couple of weeks, LinkdIn did alerted me about ppl I might know, i did ignore it, lately I had a new smart phone, and I did not know how to deal with it, it did sent invitations to those ppl the site thought I knew them...... Then I found this lady sending me email about she does not use her LinkdIn account and that's why she rejected my invitation to connect with her!!!! Another Odd Couple over here, yes, in my original country or DH's country we are been looked from the surface and no one wants to look at us as humans, when I got married to DH, ppl from my country started telling me: you didn't find someone from us to marry you? :\: or from Dh's country been looked like circus de freak :\: but when ever we travel to another country or inside UAE, ppl do not comment badly, or just give the node of understanding how love gather different ppl :)

I am allergic to dust too and itcan make you very miserable so you have my sympathy. I use RHINOMER stregth 3 from the chemist about 45aed twice a day to wash out my sinuses and use flexonase spray twice a day to keep symptoms at bay.I also have air purifiers upstairs and down. I have allergy protctive liners on my mattress and pillows. I have very little rugs and a leather sofa as these are places for allergens to lurk. Ive been in Dubai 10 years and it is manageable with a bit of effort. Thank you nutty. this info is really appreciated, as I recently developed this allergy - I don't know why - it all started back 2008 only with dust mites, which developed to dust allergy. Been using flexonase religiously since 2008, I am on a wait list with azma (spl?) clinic on wednesday, hopefully I will survive until then, in the mean time, I'll follow your advices. and thank you other ladies for your help. I will invest in an air pureifiere, it's time to do so. Thank you EW ladies, you rock.. P.S. typing under the surgical mask.

My sisters and sisters in law taught their children that there are "indoor" voices and "outdoor" voices. It takes time, but the gist is - use your indoor voice (when the situation is actually occuring) - they already know about outdoor voices. DS1 is okay, some times he got carried away by the behavior of DS2....DS2 needs mute button, pause button and above of all, need to remove the alarm from his system.....with him I do not need alarm to walk up, he always walk up starting from 5 am, if I putt him on snooze then the next thing I hear is something been smashed, or running water somewhere... once I had walked up with fridge door open, the 2 liter joyce been spilled all over the floor, as he tried to pour some in his own cup :\:, and he is trying hard to flick the tv channels to his favorite channel - mickey mouse club house one....... Yeah, I would defiantly be happy if you passed the info of the merchant who sells such devices that could be installed on DDs and DSs.

Foil paper/ aluminum wrapping? I always use it for covering things to cook it, as I have no covers for backing dishes. Or just have backing sheet / backing tray and have something heavy on top of it, clay backing dish or just a brick from the garden - after washing it. <em>edited by Gorobattie on 16/02/2012</em>

hiccup, I have nothing to say but I feel sorry for you and your DS. Can you just tell DH about DS feeling and watch his reaction about it? tell him children grow fast and this is the best time he can make good and nice memories with the children, otherwise time does fly and he will be losing his chances to have any memories with them. tell him children do not stay children forever, they become men and women, then he will have no chance to do nice thing with them. tell him his friends won't be taking care of him when got sick or - god forbid - lost his job, tell him Dubai is not gonna stay forever and there will be time to say goodbye to dubai, then he have to leave and start living with his children in home country, then he will understand how many golden opportunity he lost just to create those memories, and he will regret for that lost moments. I would suggest not doing it. We had the triple play with Elife and it worked out much more expensive. The OSN family package with satellite only costs us 99dhs a month and is fanstastic! They don't push that package often but it has tons of great channels (Travel, Discovery/BBC/etc etc) I second that opinion, we had elite and it was expensive comparing to osn, plus in elite you pay for viewing the free channels!!!! osn is better, at least you can record your programs on osn by clicking on the program, elif times are all missed up, and you always watch every thing half an hour late - I don't know why? - and elif recorder you set the time you want to record your program as it won't pick up the program by it self...

Okay, finally got a finale for this soup opera :P as I said before, the phone calls got escalated until reached 5 times a day - they certainly disparate or just have so much time to do nothing - the more I ignore the calls the more they call :\: if I played yoda msg, they don't get the hint - had much fun playing it then gobsmacked when they don't get it - called the police to complain, discovered that I need to talk to the owner of the phone permission to do so ^~^ any way, I called hsbc again and told him the phone calls escalated, and I had applied to change the phone number from our employer, gone back and forward, sure the man wanted me to ask the hr about this person? :\: I told him this is illegal and if he wish to do so why don't he obtain a court order to get this person details, then he shut up and now he stopped these phone call. I am happy with the results, but couldn't believe the courage he asked me to get such private info for him?!!! once I told him this line, he knew that he can not make me do his work for free.

absolutely...and I always take a few dh's off the price of things too. Can't have him having an early heart attack :) LoL Aroha! I do the same thing with DH, as sometimes I buy things to do some home improvements, DH doesn't think it's a necessity for our home, but I feel that I need it, as he doesn't spend half of the time I do spend in the home, and the most important thing; I am not the one who brings money to the home.....before when I used to earn money myself, I didn't care about the price, as I pay it from my pocket.

Iamam, I feel sorry for your little brave man, and you as well for going throw all this nonsense from this school, being a mum is not an easy job, being a teacher is a total different story, you have to be qualified person academically and above all emotionally prepared to do this job..... this teacher I doubt she is either any of this 2 qualification, and I do not understand why she is in that position? As a mother, you must regain your child faith in you, you are mum, you are the one who understand him, love him and most of all protect him, it's not an easy job, you have to do it, and in the same time, go to KHDA to complain about the school, KHDA do care about this matters, and you need to sit down with your little man and talk with him, what kind of situations that led this teacher to be like that? I do not mean your son done soothing wrong, no, sometimes children are clever that they notice things or words and face grownups with it, that the grown ups are astonished with and react badly about it.... you need to dig deep, some times children do witness something or hear something, grow ups think they can punish little children for that reason only..... I don't know, but I think this teacher have a campaign against your son, she branded him as naughty boy, mentally tourturing him by letting him watch other children play and he had to sit to think about his decisions? don't let it go under the bridge, fight for your son, tell him you are going to make things right, and complain about the teacher and the school hugs for the little brave man, and hugs for the brave mum xxx

Gorobattie, I believe it's true that in some cases, ovarian cysts disappear by themselves, or stay benign and don't grow, so maybe that's what your doctor thought would happen with you. Have you checked recently whether it's grown or not? You never know, you might be one of the lucky ladies! I would trust Dr Jennifer to tell it to you straight, and not operate for the sake of it. Al Quwatain, hope it all works out. Simpleasabc, I hope that it did not grow, as it was discovered after another one had been ruptured, so hope that it won't do like the previous one.

simpleasabc, I had been diagnosed it more than a year, after I had visited the doctor she told me that women often get it and they live with it... I don't know why something inside my heart told me not to believe her...now the eco kilo medical insurance plan been undated and I do not need her approval for such a procedure, and can go myself to an approved doctor by them and follow up with them. they had done this as they have so many patients and can not provide care for all of them, so defiantly will contact this doctor and book with her.
