One would like to think one would move in a bigger place, better locality... but all depends on circumstances... but definitely not downsizing on the lifestyle at the moment... !

Oh... Live like models... you are so cute... ! after living in Dubai and meeting people of other nationalities i feel all types of people exist in every community ... the nice, friendly and down to earth ones as well as reserved ones which is at times is mistaken for rudeness or pride... in fact there are very few snooty or rude ones i would say... Don't worry, you will soon make friends here... there are too many Indians here and you seem like a nice and genuine sort of a person... you will definitely find sincere friends... About the services you require i think you should wait till you move to Dubai and then look around for the best reasonable place nearby where you can commute back and forth easily.. all the best ... :)

I love Dubai very much. I have been here for the past 10 years. Dubai is changing day by day with new wonders (Burj Khalifa) happening now and then. I'm crazy about the shopping malls in Dubai. There are many. Big and small in size. There are many shopping malls in Dubai like The Mall of Emirates, City Centre Mirdif, [url=http://www.citycentredeira.com'>City Centre Deira[/url'> etc. People throng here everyday mainly for shopping. edited by mejohnsam on 25/11/2014 I hate shopping. Same here... i also hate just circling the malls purposely... and i dont believe ppl who live here throng to the malls just to shop... how is it possible to shop all year round... i dont even like it as a hangout (maybe if i was a teenager i would have) ... so basically i feel as a resident of Dubai malls r the last attraction for me at least...!

If its just about money (and not a career in a specific field) why not go for a job in school where you can be home with your child (schools have day cares for the extra few hours you will need to stay there)... i think if a mother needs to work the best option is to either teach or work in a school administration with less working hours n all..... but then again i am more of an ambitious mother than an ambitious woman... :)

Trolley bags are not allowed in most schools as its hard for children to carry them up the steps (and most schools have some steps somewhere)... i suppose also because there will always be those mischievous kids who would run the trolley bags along the corridors and get hurt in the process... In any case FS 1 children dont have much in their bags so they are not that heavy to carry. Give your child finger food as its less messy and they are able to finish the lunch within the break time... label everything, i learnt this the hard way... hehe...!

[b'>All the other posts are quite flippant[/b'> but excessive dreaming can be a sign of anything from pregnancy to a brain tumour. I'd want to know when you first noticed your excessive dreaming, has it gotten worse and if you have any other strange symptoms. All, then? OP asked if anyone else had the same thing, or if it was rare. Since I've experienced this from the time I was a young child, I've talked to plenty of people about it over the years and even had done a research paper on the topic. A lot of people experience this for no other reason than they simply just do. All. The point is it might be nothing or it might be something. Worth checking out. I have frequent migraines since i was young... and i have been always dreaming a lot... i just thought i dream a lot, but recently i kind of made myself conscious of the fact that i never really sleep without dreaming and i started questioning others randomly... and realized that its not common... although i can see here that there r others like me... :) .... Oh btw Guiness 2 ...i had an MRI done for my migraines around 6 years back and all was clear... so definitely not a brain tumor... :)

The ability to go back to the same dream is a sign of lucid dreaming, if you can also take control of what happens in your dreams? That's lucid dreaming too. I do both of these, it doesn't bother me at all and who is to say what's normal. If the dreams are not troubling you I would not worry. Yes... i can go back to the same dream and also at times control dreams by willing things to happen... as i said its only during stressful days that i wish i dream less... otherwise its pretty cool !! ...

Same here, Gritt. It's not that uncommon from what I have read on the internet. Almost every night it is the same thing. Go to bed at 9ish, wake up from a dream between 11:30-1am. Go back to sleep. Wake up in the morning dreaming, too. Some mornings I wake up exhausted. The only time I don't experience this is if I drink alcohol, or stay up really late, but I don't exactly wake up feeling stellar the morning after I do. Mann... thats me... i also wake up at least twice during the night and mostly start dreaming from where i left off when back to sleep... hehe ...!!

Gritt, I don't know whether it's 'normal' or not, but if I were you I would enjoy it. Some people keep a dream diary because apparently we're programmed to forget our dreams and if you think about it, although you might remember them with clarity upon waking, they're usually erased from your memory after a few hours. I read somewhere that everybody dreams every night, but what differentiates people is whether they remember them. Dreams are a critical mechanism for humans, so I wouldn't worry about it, you could start a dream diary if you wanted to record them. my dreams r mostly pretty vivid... some i remember for a day while some for days... but never thought of keeping a dream diary... hmmm... will think about it...

We've done our on line the last couple of years, but once the car is a certain age, don't you have to take it in to be actually seen by the guys? yes... i am afraid a car above 3 year of age has to go through physical inspection at RTA before being renewed ... so no online registration for me... :( edited by Grittt1 on 17/08/2014

A small joint called pumpy's in Bur Dubai ... they have a lunch box (u can get it at night too though) 15/-AED only, with really spicy beef chilli with fried rice or noodles, which we love to pick up and eat on the beach... its not real chinese food but satisfies cravings for oily and spicy food once in while when you are ready to let your guards down... ;)

Dubai government website says the following countries are eligible: India, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Ethiopia, Bangladesh, and Indonesia [url=http://www.dubai.ae/en/Lists/HowToGuide/DispForm.aspx?ID=45'>link[/url'> How come Madagascar and Nepal (CV's seen by AnonDubai) not in the list... can it be that this is not a complete list?

It depends what you mean by 'discipline'. I have seen teachers who pride themselves on 'discipline'. but in fact they are simply cranky cows who yell a lot and can't engage with children on an individual level. I have also seen wonderful teachers who are nurturing, caring educators with a passion and understanding of children who rarely have to raise their voices. i guess what i really mean is disciplined children... and teachers being able to control rowdy behaviour without as you say having to shout their throats sore... my daughter is very timid and easily run down by kids... we are not that social and this has i guess made her more so... Oh what a blessing it would be to have a second category of teacher you mentioned... edited by Grittt1 on 06/10/2013

..but we must still wait for the official moonsighting and the Ministry of Labour announcement before this is all confirmed unfortunately Eid Al Adha is not the same as Eid al Fitr... as the latter is on the first day of the lunar month thus the exact day cannot be announced till the end of the previous month... however the former is on the 10th day of islamic month Zil Hijja and thus can be foretold 10 days earlier... the month has started today so we know that Eid Al Adha is on the 15th of Oct...

we always take our guests on a day tour to Fujairah, Khorfakan...it has mountains and beaches.. the ride to fujairah is great... for someone living in desert like us its beautiful in fact, (mountains n all).. what makes the drive really interesting is the roadside carpet souk (where you can get reasonable stuff if you know how to bargain), the fruit souk with every fruit imaginable, also hot roasted corns (love those), cotton candy for kids, and a plant souks ... also the weather is better than Dubai

Hi lilia, Hope your experience with Lush Henna is good... generally what i have heard and seen with people using henna is that the quality of their hair changes eventually... it makes hair more frizzy in the long run since most of the products have chemicals in them to make it black or brown..natural henna gives only orangish hue to the hair... Hope this products suits you since you cant use hair dyes... Good luck

Hi Scurry77, Although environmentalist would encourage their use, but putting it to practice is another thing altogether.. i tried to use them and failed miserably because.. well.. THE HASSLE.. !!! since newborn babies get wet so soon you have to change too often which means being on ur toes all the time, since you dont want your poor baby to be uncomfortable just cause you are late changing her/him.. then cleaning up the poop is such a messy business ... and again newborns go many times a day.. I used homemade cloth nappies so maybe i suffered more.. maybe there are some sophisticated products out there which are better to use.. i have heard of disposable cloth nappy services where they provide you with 12 nappies a day and collect the dirty ones at the end of the day and provide you with 12 for the next... however i have no idea if this service is available in Dubai.. and i m sure this would be an expensive solution compared to diapers... In my opinion the hassle definitely out weights the savings if there are any..i simply did not have enough time to maintain cloth nappies.. hope you are able to make a good decision.. Goodluck

Hi, i feel for you. this must be a difficult time indeed. i know of a home remedy. Maybe it will help your baby. 2 glasses water - when it comes to a boil add the following and then close the stove, dont boil anymore after that. Fennel seeds - 1 teaspoon Mint leaves - 5 to 6 leaves with the stem small Cardamon - 2 Then cover the utensil. After an hour remove this stuff from water and keep it in a bottle. Feed the baby 2 to 3 tablespoon 3 to 4 times a day. If you are giving formula milk you can use this water along with other water. My Mother in law says she knows this remedy to have helped colic babies. However she says this is temperory remedies and helps baby release gases and sleep well. Colic babies stay colic for about six months. Hope your baby recovers though.
