Hi, it depends on your insurance, it might be covered. I experienced this recently and did not have any issues. My doctor requested pre-approval and once that was obtained we moved forward with the procedure. All biopsies were covered as well. I think the only thing that is not covered is the vaccination if you want to take it. I might help you fight the virus. Best of luck!

Hi ladies, could you please share your views on Emirates international school (Jumeirah) and Raffles Word Academy? Any opinion would be most appreciated, especially if you have first hand experience. Thanks!

First off 25 is way too many for a KG1 class! It seems like control is not being maintained and your child is feeling that. They not only have classrooms of 25, but they also have about 9 sections of KG1... Only in Dubai...

My other concern is that if things go bad, and I decide to take him off, where am I going to place him? There are probably no spaces left anywhere and I don't think I will be able to take further actions legally or with the KHDA or whatever regulator there is in Dubai...

I'm not sure I should say... But the name starts with * and ends with * ;) They have several schools and nurseries in Dubai and my experience with the nursery was outstanding, hence why I decided to move forward with school. I'm so disappointed...

Hi ladies, I have a few concerns about my DS situation at school. He has recently started his first year (KG1) in a reputable institution in Dubai and after 2 weeks I'm already hearing the teacher complain every time I drop him off in the morning which I think is a bit odd. I wonder what kind of expectations she would have from a kid who just started going to proper school, and he is one of the smallest in his classroom (not yet 4)? The icing on the cake came just a few days ago when I was told a "meeting" with the school counsellor/coordinator is to take place soon. Now, this is not my first experience with an educational institute in Dubai, as my DS used to go a a very good nursery and I know he was a bit stubborn and had difficulties following instructions, but it was never taken into this proportions. I was concerned at some stage and even took him to a well known psychologist who told me he had slight behavioural issues that could be easily dealt with with proper structure and limits, which we reinforced at home. My concern is that my boy doesn't go happily to school any more, he keeps calling for his last teacher and says his current one hits him. He is not eating well either, he goes all day without having anything to eat at all, not even water and no one seems to care. My husband heard the the teacher scream to him and saw her assistant grab him by the arm in a very bad way (the kid of twist that can dislocate a shoulder) and when she saw my husband looking through the window, she seemed very surprised... He also told me how he saw a small kid (not older than 6) being cornered and shouted at by another teacher. I can keep up mentioning situations and things I've seen and heard and this post could be the never ending story. I'm curious to know what they are going to tell me in this meeting. My guess is that they will recommend a shadow teacher which is going to cost me dearly and all because they have an understaffed classroom of 25 and only one teacher and a half (the assistant is almost invisible). Am I the only one facing this situation? Please share your experiences... I need someone to talk to! Thanks!

I really like Maya, I think they are really good, a bit on the expensive side for mexican food. Maria Bonita is also really good and fresh. For Mexican fast food I recommend baja fresh.

Dr Jennifer Lee Kasirsky at Mediclinic (previously known as Welcare) in Al Garhoud is the best. She is American, she took care of me during my 2 pregnancies, she is very professional and has an excellent bedside manner. I cannot speak highly enough of her.

Thanks so much for your suggestions! I'll try both and hopefully find a better arrangement than the one I have at the moment! Much appreciated!
