Now I'm afraid, it really does hurt? I know that quick fix is not as permanent and effective like regular exercise, but I plan to do it so I'll be more motivated to do exercise. But now I'm really skeptical on doing it, now that most of reviews I got from paying patients and non advertisements reviews are all negative. It hurts as much as you'd expect when you basically freeze a part of your body.. I mean, I'm covered in tattoos so I'm quite tolerant to pain too. I had the fatty part of my belly done underneath my belly button and I had cramps and bruising for a couple of weeks. But because I didn't keep up with exercise and healthy eating, it was just a lost cause! I suppose it's like anything, if you're willing to change the way you eat and exercise, then completing fat freezing might be just the right jump start to get you going! I don't mean to put you off it... Maybe try the one treatment, and if you feel it's given you the necessary head start towards a better shape or flatter area then that's good, right!? :)

Have you tried finding a group page for your building on Facebook? I know my building has a big group page that they can talk on about living there... it might be an easy way to find a spot to rent from a neighbour!?

Haha @brie03 - I'm with you on the Grey's Anatomy! I dread to think that show might end some day... My list includes purple shampoo, snail gel (it's a face product before you all go "ugh"!) and reese's chocolate cups!!

I tried it once -- and I have to be honest, one treatment isn't enough if you're wanting visible results. And it's like anything, it comes with advice of eating healthily and exercising. Two things you won't exactly be doing if you desire to pay lots of money on a relatively "quick and easy fix" like this treatment. And it hurts!

This is interesting, and you might want to consider it? http://www.expatwoman.com/dubai/monthly_beauty_hair_nails_no_shampoo_14879.aspx Otherwise OP, my advice would be to visit your hair salon and discuss it with your hairdresser during a consultation. It's clearly causing concern for you, and every woman's hair type is different and will require different methods of care and cleansing.

I fear the answer to this may be slightly obvious, but I'm curious anyway. Will any booze shops be open at any point throughout the next month... Or is it best to have a mad rush to the shop tomorrow night? With a license of course!

And I have to say I've done all the cultural things here in Dubai over the last eight years and I find that by and large they don't measure up to some of the other places I've lived. Maybe if it's your first overseas posting then its exciting, but for me its usually more bother and less reward than I have found in other places. You really have done them all? There are new things coming up monthly. Of course not everything will measure up to other places we have been to, the world is a fantastic place and every country I have been to have something unique to offer, some of those places wouldn't be realistic for us to live in though. That's what holidays are for. We have been here for 10 years, my husband has been an expat in numerous countries. This is my fifth. Life is easy and safe and lots on offer, places nearby to travel to. We happily stay another 10 years here, never lived anywhere that has so much on offer on your doorstep then I haven't lived in places like New York, but a few European capitals. I don't think Dubai is the problem, I think the problem is yourself and it's time to pack up and leave. I agree with exactly what Silvstet said, "I don't think Dubai is the problem, I think the problem is yourself and it's time to pack up and leave."

I'm sorry Butterfingers but I can't stop laughing at your unfortunate situation with your maid! Laughing out of disbelief more than anything haha.. Who would dare to do such a thing!? Crazy! Perhaps you should install - and tell her, of course - cameras as a precaution. You pay her to work, not take the biscuit with your belongings and home.

Hyundai dealership and Mitsubishi dealership usually have brilliant deals during Ramadan. I drive past the dealerships everyday going to work so I see what deals they have advertising ;) I would wait if I were you for Ramadan. Hai. Alraedy the deals are open and if u book right away also you would be eligible for all offers. You can go ahead for booking with all confidence. Thanks to you both! We'll have to wait until after this pay day anyway, so won't be until the beginning of June until we look so probably head down there then. We've got our eye on a model already :D

I'm currently trying to grow my hair out from pixie short to bob length and it's at that stage where it just looks *bleh*. Anyone have any tricks up their sleeves to help hair grow a little quicker... Any products etc? My hairdresser is helping me obviously, but just want to give it a little boost :) Biotin caps are good. I started using them as I was having huge hair fall There aren't any hair products I could recommend that will make your hair grow quicker. When I first arrived here I had cropped hair and it took me 18 months to get it to bob length. It is now down to the small of my back :-) Thanks sarahlou! I'll have a look at the Biotin caps. Hopefully by next year I'll have a bob again then, fingers crossed! I have very thick hair naturally anyway, so maybe that will work in my favour :D I've had short and grown it out again before a few years back, I always hated that in- between stage -- makes me want to cut it all off again!

Marina to the ranches for me takes 20 - 30 minutes depending on traffic down Hessa... Going home there's that fab new road that takes you towards DIP and round the back of JLT then to marina, to media city. That takes like 10 mins to get home!

I agree with everyone else -- keep out of it. It's a shame you were dragged into knowing about the affair but doing anything will only drag you into potentially worse and awkward situations. I know if my husband were cheating on I, I'd prefer it to come from him and not a friend or acquaintance. Perhaps encourage him to come clean if you feel the need to do something?

My advice would be to tell her that persistence pays off... Talk to her neighbours, the security, keep ringing the police, her neighbours are in the wrong. Why should your friend have to be the one who suffers and moves when she has every right to be there and paying too!? Honestly noisy neighbours are the bane of my life. But I've always stood my ground... Your neighbour should too! During my time here in Dubai i've pretty much learnt standing my ground works, even if it takes a little while.

There was an other thread about some salon, that advertise regularly with EW and also used to get good recommendations, however when me and a few other posters posted some recent horrible experiences at the same salon- our thread was deleted within Mins. RIP expat woman !!!! edited by smartee on 26/04/2015 That's different - naming and shaming on social media isn't actually allowed and you can be sued for slander and defamation, that;s why your threads get deleted when you do that. Exactly FairyDust!! Jeez, complaining about the lack of interesting threads and how EW 'used' to be isn't exactly going to achieve the creation of interesting threads!? I wasn't around when EW 'used' to be what it is, but do you know what probably makes EW boring? People complaining about boring EW is!!

I don't really find taxis to be the problem... Now if it was big SUV's being driven by people on their phones that this was aimed at (as i suspect it is)...then I'm all for a wider roll out. Yeah good point!! I think i've had experiences in both situations. Had a taxi driver down marina road the other day who was literally an inch off the back of the van in front. But then again, like you said, the SUV's tend to get very close too!

How do you attract someone's attention if you don't speak the same language ? Oh yes, a tap on the shoulder.... You NEVER EVER touch a person in uniform EVER like this. Had he been in certain other countries he may have had his head blown off by a fast reaction or thrown on the ground. There is no justification for any adult without special needs tapping a police officer on the shoulder, it's stupidity at best. To then become difficult when dealing with officials is just dumb. I can’t see what the fuss is about, you assault an officer of the law you will get a stiff penalty regardless of where ever you are in the world. So only people with special needs or learning difficulties are 'stupid' enough to tap someone's shoulder who's in uniform? Right Really that is a pathetic response, does it really need to be explained that there may be some with disabilities, issues who may need to communicate in other ways and therefore may use touch, therefore a blanket [i'>any adult [/i'>was not used allowing for exception and provision. What a seriously sad interpretation, i would never have thought anyone could have considered anyone with LD stupid like just posted or interpreted such a statement as such. Your attitude is extremely generalised and very assumptive if you feel you have the right to state that only those with special needs are 'stupid' enough to touch a police officer. [i'>Because that's exactly how your response sounds.[/i'> I won't apologise for the way I read your comment. I took this very personally. Perhaps next time you shouldn't make such a very opinionated fact. Or you could at least explain your point a lot better in future.

Through settings, you can make everything private to 'Friends only' - meaning people can't add you as a friend, messages are sent to 'other inbox' from people who aren't friends and generally your timeline is on lock down for any other previous posts. You can choose to secure past posts, which updates your privacy settings for past posts to your desired settings now as of course, they've developed over the years. You can make your profile pictures private, but you have to individually change the setting in each... and you can't make cover photos private at all.
