i LOVE physician's formula!! you can get them on iherb.ae -- i'm telling you, i was such a beauty product snob, and was buying super expensive super designer products but it was killing my wallet and it was killing my skin. these people know what they're doing. also, amazingly, the body shop has fantastic makeup -- not sure they're organic, but they're cruelty free which is also really important for me. LUSH and llamasqua are also big favorites - cruelty free products. Hey beeniedubai, I know what you mean about the costs adding up! Which is why I'm very selective on what products I pay for. I don't see the point of paying too much for cleansers so I buy products like Acure which is really affordable but spend more on serums. Hoping to buy either Mun no.1 Aknari serum or tata harper's serum after this, have heard really good stuff about it. Have you tried either? Body shop is not organic but they do have an organic range now. But as you said, body as well as LUSH are cruelty free which is really important. Haven't tried physician's formula but I might check it out after this :-)

Hi ladies, hoping to get some info from you. I'm slowly making the switch to natural/organic beauty products. I have managed to get a couple of products such as Organic Pharmacy and Herbal Essentials. But I have started getting acne (why now?!) so I want to try a couple of products such as Dr Alkaitis and maybe even try Tata Harper . But I can't find it anywhere here! Does anyone else have the same problem with buying organic products or is it just me? Is there anywhere that sells it here or do you buy online from abroad? Just a little worried that delivery may not go according to plan... Any advice appreciated, thanks! The nail spa has an organic brand called Absolution; Also, the beauty floor website has a few organic options. Oh wow that is super useful samram! Never heard of beauty floor but just checked it out and they have some of the products I want :-)

Hi Happy Dance, The oatmeal is really soothing, some people grind first, I just mix it with hot water and massage it on, you will feel it tighten the face and yes bits will stick to eyebrows and it is a little messy but there is a really nice result and every time I use it people comment on my skin. I had an obsession with creams since I was a teenager and used to buy the cremes de la mer, clarins, clinique and guerlain etc... but I discovered the dermalogica brand after having a facial here 16 years ago and have stuck to buying their entire collection for my skin type. Being ecstatic with the results I started buying their products as gifts for friends and family member and everyone just loves them. Are they organic? They don t advertise as organic but personally I did not find any other products that had such a positive effect as theirs. I still like to try other products once in a while to see if there is something better out there. There is a new product which I am really eager to try after having read about it called AESOS (Active Energised Organic Skincare ) website: www.aeos.net This is available at the Healing Zone Academy in the Gold & Diamond Park, Sheikh Zayed Road run by a British Lady Anne Cook who is has introduced the products into Dubai and is very knowledgeable about them as well as about skin care in general. Love oatmeal...I usually grind it and mix it with olive oil and a couple of other things. Yeah it definitely tightens skin up while you have it on your face! But it pays off, really great for brightening skin up. If I am not mistaken, dermalogica has some natural ingredients but unfortunately, their products are not completely natural/organic :-( Now days natural products have come a long way and are really effective. Depending on your skin type and concerns, I'm sure there is several brands that will be suitable for you. Ooh yes I have heard of Aeos but I didn't know they sold it here! Thanks so much for letting me know.

Greetings! I learned a few tricks from a local friend which worked wonders for me, 1. Washing my face with Fenugreek water everyday (soak one tablespoon of washed seeds overnight and removed the seeds and keep the water on for about 15 minutes) 2. Neem Oil - Its heavy and it stinks but boy does it help the skin heal from breakouts (I keep it on for about 15 minutes) 3. Using rosewater after every wash and throughout the day using a cotton wool pad, I started putting the rosewater in an ice cube tray and use one block of ice directly on the skin - it makes you glow and skin becomes so smooth. 4. Organic oatmeal, mix with hot water into a paste and massage, leave it on 15 mins, this helps when the skin is tight, dehydrated. These simple tricks really changed my routine, I was buying all the expensive products and found that doing these regularly made an enormous difference. Good luck! Thanks UmmSofia! I actually do natural home remedies too - my favourite is mixing yoghurt with tumeric and honey. Great for the complexion and helps with acne. I've tried something similar to the organic oatmeal but have never heard of using fenugreek water for the face. Will try that out! But I also buy products as well especially if they combine some effective but hard to buy ingredients. If you have any thoughts on buying organic/natural products, would love to hear about it:)

I checked out iherb.ae but unfortunately, they don't have the products I am looking for. Oh well, still it was worth a look! Might have to buy online from other websites I guess...

Hey happ1, glad to hear that you are going to Penang! I'm Malaysian and as a kid, we used to go to Penang for holidays. Seems like you have plenty of recommendations already so the only thing I can add is to try to food at the food stalls at Gurney Drive (spoken like a true Malaysian!). The chilli crabs are a must try as is much of the seafood. There are some places that sell fried bao (steamed buns), really tasty!
