Old thread, however, it might help someone else. I'd recommend using [https://www.airbnb.com/'> specifically in Berlin. It's kinda best practice for this *city*

Many people face similar problems when moving to another country. My friends, a wonderful couple, after a year of living in Holland, returned to their native country due to the fact that the woman could not find a job. In her native country, she was a successful lawyer. However, in Holland, she could not find a single office job.

My experience of moving from Slovenia to Germany and finding a job in a new place was not easy either. My husband and I moved because he was offered a good position with a company in Berlin. He works in IT. I'm a Sales specialist with many years of experience in the specialty and quite good English. I started looking for a job in Germany before moving to Berlin. Three months of searching unfortunately yielded no results. I decided to review and rewrite my CV and cover letter because obviously it's the first thing recruiters look at and this needs to be done perfectly well. To do this, I took advantage of professional help in the preparation of the above documents. I'm sure this decision was right and it helped me a lot to improve my interview invite rate. As a result, I found a job quite quickly - in 2 months of active searches. So my recommendation - do not despair and pay attention to how you present yourself in your resume and cover letter. Good luck everyone ))

I've got plans to visit Hong Kong at the end of 2022. Would appreciate any recommendation on where to stay one week (safe area, relatively inexpensive)
