For life jackets for sailing and water sports then times square sports shop has them. Otherwise chiothrams have brilliant (tried and tested by us on two ds) jackets for swimming IMHO

we had a p&t for my two who are 18 months apart - but it only worked out for a few months as they both wanted to be next to each other! We settled upon the mamas and papas double stroller from dubai mall - totally love it as light, umbrella fold, easy to open/close, steer and easy to clean!! nearly forgot to say - it is the 'voyage twin'.

Can't help much but can tell you I did the same with my double buggy! For exactly the same reason - with both DS screaming. Realised I had left my pram near central perk cafe when I reached the greens. Actually drove straight back with screaming kids to find it still on the pavement where I had forgotten it. Got some odd stares from passersby lol. Good luck with finding it. X

Eta-- mompetitors is the term for these nasty women. The kind who's child can bully yours but if your child wants the play toy from their child then they come to have a word with you or even just take it off or away from your child and leave th crying!! arohadxb- quite possibly I was the supposedly pushy mom at moe Disney concert- some horrid woman came and sat on my knee. I asked her very politely to move up as I would be breastfeeding my ds2 - she didn't And sneered at me so I asked her if she understood English , and demo'd how I needed just a few inches. She replied she did understNd and begrudgingly moved literally a few inches. My poor 2 yr old ds then said loudly"mummy mickey mouse yay" because he was excited about it. The woman then shushed my 2 yr old and told me to keep him quiet. Now bear in mind we are waiting for a show to start, he is 2yrs old and he loves mickey and is surrounded by other kiddies- I saw red!!!! I told her in no uncertain words she can not shush my kid and that I was disgusted by her behaviour. She proceeded in poking me to which I then said I would get police involved as she was getting repeatedly physical. anyway long story short - I am not a pushy mum and would be the last to confront but come on who would go to a mickey mouse show and ask a toddler to shut up and sit down??? eurghhhhhhh my blood still boils now seeing as her kids were busy kicking us and having tantrums. edited by homesickk on 25/04/2011

Hi just an update. Finally found a gynae - dr fariba- that was able to see me earlier rather than later at the med. Spec. Centre near port / meena road. She was able to tell me I was completely fine after a invasive scan and she is having my bloods tested for thyroid etc. Btw very very gentle and direct manner. Infact it did not hurt at all!

ok - that helps to clarify things hotpot - thanks!!! so as long as there was proper accounts showing that any money that came into the playgroup went into the playgroup with no profits then it would not need a license?

ladies have been feeling so low the last few days and so inevitably start missing my dad like mad - he died 8 years ago very suddenly. as the eldest i did mouth to mouth to try to get him back in vain - the rest of my family just stood and watched. so feel the pain of a lost parent. as for the pain - it gets easier to deal with through time and also having someone to talk through the good memories with - remember it wil be hard to look at pics and smell the scent they used to wear at the beginning. Slowly the pics will be a positive thing bringing smiles - yes - smiles as you recall the happiness they brought to your life. inevitably it will sometimes end in tears of just plain missing your parent and you being the child as you can remember - there is nothing wrong with that. some cultures say it is wrong to cry too much or you should just get on with your life when all you want to tdo is cry and forget about your life as it is - kinda true - but tears help us to heal and move forward and our lives make us busy and so we spend less reliving the feelings of loss and sorrow,so wen we do take a break to think of the one we have lost, eventually the good things about them wil cometo the surface faster than the feelings of grief over them not being there. hope i havent rambled myself into a mess. hope that helps you out a little bit vjdubai. as for younger siblings - ur sis is doing wll going for therapy and ur bro ah well - boys will be boys - good luck with dealing with that - if u nd to talk ur welcome to email as kinda understand what situation you are going thro - maj k daz at hot mail dot com as for friends - soem people just dont know how to deal with death and the subsequent effects - signs of immaturity or just not being able to empathise. some are also worried they may sound silly so just stay away - have you tried calling a special/close friend and saying you just want to talk??? maybe they will surprie you and actually just listen and be there for you. big cyber hug and happy thoughts sent to you - as a muslim i can only say i believe that those who die leave behind the fickleness of this world to go to a place of peace Inshallah.

burnsie - the seedlings is a steiner -focus playgroup run by a lovely mum in the springs - quite full at the mo but there is a waiting list well worth trying to get yourself on. appletiser - re the breastfeeding - i must say i havent had that one...yet.....lol - i do not give a monkeys, i will make sure i am covered with a light cloth and feed anywhere - walking or standing if the situation requires tho. ivfuae - too right and our mums did it with more than 2/3 aswell!!! and no mod cons either. would you all be interested in trying to find or failing that, setting up or a 2 baby 1mum friendly playgroup???

hi burnsie - i feel and understand ur situation well - i have almost the same age group between mine and tend to go to playgroups where there are lots of activities to keep the older one busy in a group - where even if he doesnt exactly join in he doesnt need me to play with him. little ds used to be quite a calm baby but as he is getting more aware doesnt always want to be in the bottom of the phil n teds - so bit harder - i dont do any long grocery shopping with them either. i go to seedlings where if i am busy with older ds i know a kindly mum will keep little ds smiling or even pick up if he cries. i go to gingerbread in the park where the parachute and group games mean i can still give lo some attention. and if older ds gets bored he can still run around in a small open space (so i can catch him if needs be lol) and still come back to the playgroup games. my local playcentre is fav things and it is a bit more difficult as i have to carry lo around - i found taking the bumbo seat with me helps alot - an extra thing to carry tho. i have no help - just get agency in a few times a week to clear up the carnage. sometimes if one is not well/groggy or if i just havent the energy then lots of garden play, paints, toys and even tv i am afraid while i have a shower - with instructions for older ds to stick the dummy in little ds mouth if he cries lol. on another note though - i hardly ever see mums with two small lo - i feel i am the only 'fool' about and certainly get lots of 'you dont have a maid ???' or the where's her maid look!!! anybody know if there is a group dedicated to crazies like us?? that has two types of activities for 2 age groups in a one mum 2 baby friendly setting??? much positive energy your way burnsie!!

they were very child friendly, very pregnant lady friendly lol( was 5 months preggers) the buffet food was good with theme nights good for kids too- the on stilts restaurant was some of the best seafood (Japanese i think) we ever had. the kiddie/family pool was very comfy and the kids club was clean, open and useable with friendly 'child-aware' staff and they let u borrow toys etc for the pool or ur rooms. the waiting staff were attentive to a tee -even with numerous dropped spoons etc and offered to take ds for a wonder around while we ate on 'he is driving us insane' moments lol. nightlife wise we didnt really have one apart from fact that you can take ur toddlers/wee ones with you to the beachside bar with live bands or soul nghts - very calm and chilled out - and soo fab seeing the flourescent sand thingies and fishies at night. we went to the local island and saw dolphins too - the capt even made an extra long journey so we could catch some more pics/sights and ds even got to 'man' the boat :) edited by homesickk on 03/01/2011

also the bumbo - but maybe ur lo is too big for it??? the ikea high chair is the best for wear and tear and going everywher with you - incl bathroom, kitchen , balcony/garden. second the baby walker - as long as they can see you you are good for a few minutes lol - also the duvet thing we used when they are inbetweent the crawl/try to get up stage. get a cleaner in if you can 2 times a week - on thursday afternoon for sure then at least the weekend is off to a good start lol. also try to get out and about with him for outside coffee/meals for yoiurself either during the day or with ur dh for supper/weekends - as much as possible - esp as when they start walking it is more difficult IMHO as they dont want to sit for too long. also - dont know if you already have this but do a walk evryday and stop to look at birds and plants and stuff and this helps to while away an hour a day on those days when u are just too tired to entertain at home. i have 2 under 2 - ds just turned 2 2 weeks ago and ds is 6 months - it is hard but a routine helps alot. xxxx hugs if someone offers to help - take them up on the offer - wish i had done so when i was struggling with ds1. oh and btw - we all have bad days when we just cant entertain any longer - but we are never bad mothers as long as they are fed watered and in clean clothes and nappies and we have loved them. eta - a tip a mum friend gave me was to brush ur teeth together - it is way more fun and you may even get giggling over it - edited by homesickk on 03/01/2011
