I'm with Dr. Kasirsky at the moment for my pregnancy and she's absolutely lovely but unfortunately will be leaving the practice to return to her home country at the end of the month... so you're probably better off seeing Dr. Clausson. From what I've heard she's quite good though I don't have any personal experience with her. The nurses did mention that they will have a new South African doctor joining from mid July though I don't know any further details or what her areas of specialisation within the gynecological field are. If you're insurance covers City Hospital it will most likely cover Welcare as well as they both fall under the 'Mediclinic' brand. If so, then I would also recommend Dr. Janaki Gopalan at Welcare... she's a very skilled doctor as well.

for the private sector it has already been declared as 1st and 2nd day of Shawal... which can be either of the two following scenarios: - if the fast only lasts 29 days, then this will result in the holiday being Tuesday (5th) and Wednesday (6th) - if the fast lasts for the full 30 days, then this will result in a four day weekend for most as the holiday will be Wednesday (6th) and Thursday (7th)

most hotel apartments and three star hotels offer party halls/banquet rooms for a reasonable budget... some options include: - Majestic Hotel Mankhool/BurDubai - Ascot Hotel BurDubai - Comfort Inn Bur Dubai - Four Points by Sheraton Bur Dubai - Flora Creek Deira - Flora Grand Deira - Ramada Jumeirah - London Suites Oud Metha - Dunes Hotel Oud Metha - Bustan Rotana Ghusais Bear in mind that most of the hotels charge around 75/- per head for a buffet meal but might compromise if you want only a snack/starters menu... Cheapest place for a buffet with a lovely hall would be India Club or Pakistan Association in Oud Metha but unfortunately you will need a member to make the booking for you at these places! Alternatively you could try restaurant party halls but the privacy factor here isn't great and they dont give you empty halls... it's mostly filled with tables/chairs.

i presume as tourists u will be staying mostly in hotels/resorts so all those facilities are definitely child friendly... some areas u may find challenging when travelling with children are: - not ideal road infrastructure (potholes, bendy roads, etc.) though the highways are not too bad - lack of child seats in public transportation (taxis, buses, rickshaws, trains, etc.)... however, if ur travelling in private hotel/chartered taxis u may have this as an option or can carry along ur own for safety - mozzies (loads of them depending on the season you go and where ur staying... more prevalent in water logged areas such as the backwaters etc.) - medications, diapers, baby food (take ur own as not all international brands are readily available if ur not in a metro city) the backwater houseboat experience is quite lovely and i would strongly recommend it (even with a 2 yr old) but instead of actually staying overnight on the houseboat u can stay at a backwater resort and just do the two hour cruise with lunch or dinner... so still be able to experience the boat but not have to be worried about the lil one all the time

Hi just wanted to wish you luck for upcoming birth of your baby. I am due 13th July. We moved to melbourne in between it all and would be delivering here. Keep us posted about whether its a boy or a girl! hahaha indeed... will keep u posted... and all the very best with your delivery too... Melbourne is a gorgeous city! enjoy!

it's really subjective and purely depends on what sort of taste your son leans towards? does he prefer the soft, creamy, fluffy, sweet cakes from the likes of traditional bakers like Mr.Bakers, Park&Shop etc or does he prefer the richer, denser cakes from the more contemporary bakers like Chocoa, Sugaholic, etc...

not sure about labour camps but if you're on Facebook take a look at the page titled Ramadan/Sharing Fridges in the UAE... a wonderful community concept that has been in the running this Ramadan and currently has locations spread all across the different communities in the city... all you have to do is go in and restock the fridges with supplies like juice, water, laban, fruit, chocolates, biscuits, yoghurt, etc... some fridges even accept cooked food... that way it's right in your neighbourhood catering to labourers in your own neighbourhood

hi... not sure of where you can find a ceramic one but Lifestyle @ Centrepoint usually have a range of beverage dispensers for sale at quite economic prices... i once bought one for them and it was only like 50-60dhs but it only lasted me a couple of parties before the spigot got spoilt... ended up chucking it... i then purchased a couple of them from Pottery Barn... much better quality and it's still perfectly functional... I'm happy to sell one of the two pieces I have for AED 150/- if you're open to buying a pre-loved item... else in Pottery Barn it retails brand new for around 300dhs... it's glass though and not ceramic

Judging by the note in there that mentions that students have been moved to the same nursery's branch in Deira and by the original article which was published in Khaleej Times on May 22nd [url=http://www.khaleejtimes.com/toddler-in-coma-after-he-drowns-in-nursery-pool'>link[/url'> it looks like the nursery is New Dubai Nursery in Satwa.

Does your insurance cover most hospitals/clinics? Your choice of gynae would be limited to where your insurance provider covers... if you help narrow down the list we'd be in a better position to advise... The most highly recommended on this forum include Dr. Elsa (who has her own clinic in DHCC but delivers at City Hospital) and Dr. Raj (at American Hospital)

I'm a party planner and have done science themed bday parties before... for the plastic test tubes, beakers etc. I would suggest getting these from medical supply stores such as George at BETA SURGICALS (Al Ghusais) Phone +971-4-2581234 Prices for the equipment (at least those I've been quoted before include): 1. - blood collection tubes Plain 5ml = 20.00/100pcs OR Vacuum 35.00/100pcs. 2. - test tubes Glass 1.00/pce 3. - test tube holder wooden = 5.00/pce 4. - beakers (assorted sizes) 100ml= 4.00, 250ml= 7.00., 500ml= 9.00, 1Liter = 18.00 5. - centrifuge tubes glass 10 ml or 15ml = 4.50/pce 6. - conical flasks (assorted sizes) 50ml, 4.00, 100ml, 7.00 250ml= 12.00, 500ml 16.00 and 1 liter= 24.00 7. - volumetric flask 50ml= 6.00, 100ml= 9.00, 250ml= 14.00, 500ml = 22.00 and 1 liter= 30.00 - petridishes 8. - Petridishes disposable 90mm 500pcs= 160.00 Hope this helps... For the lab coats we have just bought normal white half or full sleeve shirts from stores such as MAX or RED TAG in the smallest adult size available... Magnifying glasses and eye glasses are available at Daiso or DaytoDay discount stores I have some artwork you could use for bottle labels, food labels, welcome posters, etc... and loadssss of ideas on pintrest... The guys at MAD SCIENCE parties are awesome... and if you want a quick fix you can even order lab coats etc from them but needless to say it is more expensive... Happy to share a link to a previous party I'd done for that theme to inspire u....

in my experience, I think communication is key... we have had a nepali maid for the past 5 years now and she is very well settled with the family... we have increased her salary on an incremental basis every year and have set certain ground rules that we have mutually agreed on and that she has respected... every year when it's time for contract negotiation we tell her what we're offering her for the year and stipulate any additional terms & conditions or modifications to her job description similar to how we are discussed these things at our places of work... we then give her two to three weeks to decide on whether she wants to renew her contract giving her the space and time to think over her options. yes, we do have issues... whether it be her excessive use of the mobile phone or her forgetting to stick to some not-so-routine chores but every issue is addressed and resolved as and when it happens (no point leaving it for later on). We talk to her face to face across the table just like normal mature adults and try to get her to understand the situation... 9 out of 10 times the matter gets resolved and she appreciates that it was discussed and agreed mutually... i think the next time you recruit a maid find key issues that you feel might crop up, such as, - [b'>her missing her family/children[/b'> ... we have given her access to our home wifi so that she can set aside time to skype with them on a regular basis... she also gets given any of my new or barely worn outfits that I don't need to send back home to her grown up kids - [b'>her need for salary advances[/b'> ... we have agreed that she can have upto three salary advances during the course of one year and these will be cut back from future salaries at a pre-agreed installment rate so that she still has money to live on during the year - [b'>her holiday dates[/b'> ... we agree on which time of the year she wants to go on leave at the start of her contract year so that both of us can plan in advance for that time away - [b'>her health issues[/b'> ... we have also taken out medical insurance for her (which will be mandatory from June onwards anyway) and she gets taken to a clinic the minute she falls ills... and we have sat down and explained to her exactly why she needs to take care of her health and how it indirectly affects us and the children because she is exposing all of us to those germs etc when cooking, touching, etc. Now she wears a mask or takes appropriate care when ill to ensure that the spread of the virus is limited. - [b'>her days off[/b'> ... we are very fixed with her days off... we insist she takes every Friday off... we have also offered her single days off on public holidays (when there is a group of more than one day off... such as for Eid or when it coincides with the weekend)... but our condition right from the very start has always been that she can have NO over nighters on any condition... and that is something we remind her off at the contract negotiation stage every year... she can leave home first thing in the morning but needs to be back home by 10:45pm at night and absolutely no overnighters or overnight guests any relationship even if it is between the maid/employer needs to be built on a strong communication link... so talk to her... find out why she wants to change jobs... understand the real reasons and then perhaps it will all make sense... no point forcing her to stay till the end of the contract... coz if she's not happy then u'll always be worried at what she might be upto when ur not around... all the best

Any reviews about her and the hospital? congratulations... wishing u lots of luck in this last trimester... i don't know the doctor but I have had surgeries before at City Hospital and will also be delivering mine at City Hospital so have only good things to say about them (except for the parking though... but i think that's probably an issue at most places!)

Hello fellow Ladies! I'm Gen, I currently based in Sharjah and working as a Secretary in an FMCG Company. When I read few forums from this site, i felt that I might find the best solution or advice on how to resolve my problems. I was in a bad Debt, not with bank loans but Im in a bad debt with people providing loan in 10% interest. It's too late for me to regret, This is the situation now...even I will blame my self continuously, it wont resolve the issue. Some of my friends advice me to find someone who can finance in a small percentage like 3%-4% and pay in installment, atleast I can pay to 1 person only every month, its better. I don't know if there will be a possible financer I can find or how and where I can find this kind of financer. Hoping I can find answers and advice what will be the better. Thank You! the best (and legal) option would be to take a loan through a bank... that way you are paying a reasonable amount and with a legally recognised financer. since u are employed u should not find it too difficult to take out a personal loan... all the bank will ask is for a salary transfer to their bank and a letter from your employer stating that you are an employee and the salary you earn... the loan amount is usually subject to your salary.

if he loves Dolphins then the experience at Dolphin Bay at Atlantis would be well worth the money... they will have good offers during summer (as it's not the most favourable time of the year climate wise) for the hotel stay as well so why not have your family friends etc book yourselves in for a staycation at the hotel... this would also give you the Aquaventure passes... i would avoid the Eid weekend though coz prices will be sky rocketing at that time

hi alee... is ur child currently in a british curriculum school in bahrain? schools in dubai that offer the british curriculum differ in prices based on nationality of teaching staff, facilities at school, etc... so while a yr 10 in a school like St. Marys or Al Diyafah might only set u back 15K a year another school such as DESC or DC would set u back by almost 5 times that amount! similarly a 2 bedroom apartment in sharjah or along the border of dubai would cost you 60K a year but the minute u pick a villa or a similar sized apartment in a newer part of dubai it would be almost twice or thrice that amount!

would you be open to adopting or re-homing a pup? plenty of them available at the following organisations: - K9 - SNIFF most of the ones up for adoption are mixed breeds but if you are keen on those specific breeds u might be able to find one that 'majorly' a particular breed... keep in mind that the mixed breed dogs are more resilient than the pure breds and less prone to genetic issues that come with a particular strain/breed.

you can't rent a helium tank as far as i know as u need to have a license to be able to handle that sort of flammable gas... but the cheapest option would be to go to Party Centre (in Garhoud or Media City - whichever is closest to you) and get it filled... they are cheaper than Party Zone, etc as they are a wholesaler.

Thanks! xx Most of the malls have a branch of this store called TSHIRT FACTORY... they have onesies there in a variety of colours and they can instantly print anything you want on it... they have a good selection or artwork or can even print from any artwork that you may have with you... I'm not sure of the price of the onesies but the regular tshirts are 40dhs for the tshirt and 40dhs for the heat transfer print

i haven't actually used a separate LIFE insurance broker but the guy we use is an investment broker so he offers us the following: - education/savings plan for our children - life insurance - critical illness insurance coverage - property insurance... perhaps you can get in touch with him and ask him what options/suggestions he has for your particular situation and life insurance cover... the ones we have are from Zurich as they most suited our requirements but since he works for a brokerage firm I'm sure they would be able to offer you something more tailored to your specific needs... what i liked about this guy was that he was patient with us and honest and always good with follow ups/meetings/etc... we've been using him for the past three years and he always meets us once every 6 months to give us an update on our portfolio etc... he's not pushy at all which i believe is quite rare with insurance brokers! his details are: Allwyn D'souza Sr. Authorised Consultant( F A I Q) UK Nexus Insurance Broker's LLC email: allwyn.d'[email protected]

are you currently based in dubai? if u are then a quick trip to burdubai (Meena Bazaar) will give you access to many shops that sell readymade and partly stitched asian wedding outfits (both indian and pakistani)... they have all the popular stores such as Roopams, Kachins, etc. however if ur more keen on getting something designed/tailored for u then i would recommend a visit to Nova Krishnan designs... i've used her before for a few outfits and she's absolutely fabulous with her work... there are also some designer stores spread across the city such as Studio 8, Label M, etc that house many of the famous indian designer collections

Thx HorizonMum2 , the prb that we live in One bedroom which will be hard to fit that number (10 adults and 8 children) ,,, So is it possible to be done in a park with the same budget ? (1200) ..and what about the weather if it will be after 4 afraid it will be hot , isn't it ? And abt Burger King and Macdonalds what are the best branches in doing this if you know ? ,, um askin too much sorry :D a community park would be ur best bet because even entrance would be free... find one that is closest to u and go to the security guard to block a particular shaded area u want to use for ur party... every park has a blue register at the security desk where party bookings can be registered... then u just need to turn up in time for ur party and use the reserved area... yes that couple can still come for 1200 to a community park... the person's name is Shameem 050 5021392... just tell him u were referred by Making Memories and he should give u the rate i mentioned... best to check their availability directly with them food can also be delivered directly to the park such as pizzas, etc. also please remember for any park booking u need to send the party permission request first to the head of parks, details below, stating date, time, venue, no.of guests etc for ur party, Omran Qassim ALi Principal Park Supervisor Public parks and Horticulture Dept.
