Hmmm... how about a whole day of experiences that u've never done before (of course only you would know that list!)... so suggestions include: - skydiving (perhaps indoor if ur not game for outdoor) - deep sea fishing - play laser tag - go for a couple's ballroom dancing class - swim with the dolphins - paint your nails a colour u've never tried (flourescent yellow??) - try some new cuisine (african food at Tribes, perhaps?!)

Hi HorizonMum2, It sounds like your nappies are not AIO, am I right? I prefer to have only 1 piece instead of seperate covers. She likes to undress herself, so the less things she can take off, the better. :-) Otherwise, please let me know what brand it is so I can look them up. no i'm quite sure they're not AIO... i bought them from a lovely lady who was selling them at the Arte Souk in Times Square Centre... since I was going to be using cloth nappies for the first time, she suggested I buy the starter kit for newborns from a company called REAL NAPPIES... the starter kit contains 3 Waterproof Covers (Nappies) + 12 Cotton Prefolds + 100 Pce Roll Of Biodegradable Liners

weather in october is still quite nice provided you time the party a little later in the day... so like 4-6 or 5-7 that way they can have a proper run around and be exhausted by bed time... Safa 2 Park is quite nice for this... if ur looking for the laser activity option there's the new place opened up in Oasis Centre that offer this... maybe you can have food in the food court after that (i know they have a McDees / PizzaHut / KFC there)

not sure if it would help your cause but i have some from my baby's first three months (we only used them for the first three months coz then she outgrew the cover and we never went back to upsize it!) so basically I have loads of inserts (some still in original packing) and corn paper strips that you can use with pretty much any outer cover... we live on shk zayed road (next to DIFC)

i took my hubby to Gaucho (at DIFC) just yesterday for his bday and he LOVED it... i think during the day it's probably great for a fancy lunch date... but in the evening the decor and ambience was lovely... perhaps worth a visit :)
