I often fantasise about having a USB connection from my brain to someone else's, so they can do all the housework and housekeeping for me.

Funny you said that girlA. Cause after a long and hard think, I have affirmatively decided on the Duchess of Cambridge! MIMOSA, I am really beginning to like you, welcome to the board. You have let my mind wander to such lovely places twice in less a week.

Buy Sblou white fish from Spinneys. Rub with salt and lemon juice. Roll in flour mixed with a bit of turmeric, fry. It's lovely!

As far as I know, without being extreme and fundamentalist, life threatening or not, a doctor is considered "mahram". So it should be fine.

Hi! Does anyone have any options other than Dumasafe? They have quoted us 12,000 dirhams for the work, which we are willing to pay, but they have now not responded to us. It is like they are trying to avoid us! I really just want a huge piece of plexiglass put up in front of my balustrade plus two custom-made stair gates. I don't see why that should cost that much. Does anyone know of any other companies in Dubai that could provide this service? Thanks. Oh my! That is crazy money. I never childproofed my home and nothing ever happened to my children. Just a firm NO!

Irooni, I can't remember when I started, but I remember you (under your previous name - naughty! what did you do?) as a poster when you must have been pretty new, dying to get to Dubai from Bahrain (bet you're even more glad you did now....)! I changed my username last year. Same account though, never banned, touch wood!

To me you are looking at this a bit backwards. You mention you taught in China and Saudi. Loads of teacher jobs on EW pages and TES, the schools here are always looking, get employed as a teacher and get your fees paid for, do a deal, most schools will. Rent a cheap run around and get a divorce. Why get a divorce ??

The stylist and client have to wear masks, the a/c has to be on freezing and prefrably windows open as the chemicals let off alot of smoke. Over time Keratin treatments ruin the hair, even if the initial result looks and feel better. Any qualified Hair stylist would not do this on a pregnant client. Exactly! So, definitely not!

The fact that the second year of A Levels is equal to the first year of College in America must surely be an indication that we’re doing something right? I know for a fact that many British universities refuse to take American students unless they’ve either done A Levels or have completed a foundation year/course in their chose subject, because the American High School qualifications are so unreliable. In the American system the focus is too broad, there’s too much freedom and not enough structure, the subjects studied can be very obscure and there’s not enough incentive to do well in exams. I am with twilight on this one. When I was doing my GCSEs, there was one question in the history exam that has stayed with me throughout the years. "The 1930s were a time a depression for Europe. Explain (300 words)" This was only part of the lengthy exam. I was 15, so were most of my classmates. My cousin in the US did her grade 12 final history exam at 19. There were 80 multiple choice questions! I completed the 4 year BA degree in a US university, in 3 years, as I started in the 2nd year straight away. Thanks A'Levels!:) P.S. I can't believe Bob the builder has an American voice over!!
