Is it just me, but do you need to worry yet about a school for a six month old baby? Welcom to Dubai, Claudia, hope all goes well for you and your hubby. She actually does need to worry! To get into the school of your choice, it's best to register at birth!

Some khatam boxes are plain, some have colorful scenes on them; like warriors on horses, flowers, birds! What kind would you like. Could you pick a design from here and let me know http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=khatam+box&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&client=safari&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&ei=ePnAUOSGGqu00QWA_oDwBQ&biw=1024&bih=644&sei=f_nAUNSzBsaN0AWLhICgAw[url='>link[/url'>

The tree huggers don't buy that argument! Not sure the tree-huggers would like the looks of that "tree"! http://conservatree.org/learn/EnviroIssues/TreeStats.shtml [url=http://www.desismileys.com/'>[img'>http://www.desismileys.com/smileys/desismileys_6654.gif[/img'>[/url'> This would only apply if the books were being made for that purpose. I think they are actually just pulled off the shelves and then put back on the shelves after, so there should be no additional environmental impact other than the energy used by the xmas lights. Thank you! Didn't have the energy to say all that.

I think it would be cute in a library or bookshop. Not sure why this is considered tree hugging? Cause the whole point of this is to not have traditional tree and save trees!

I have always had pretty clear skin. Just one tiny pimple at the time of the month and it disappeared in no time. It's been 2 months or more now that I keep on getting a reaccuring ingrown pimple around on my chin, same spot. I used creams, gels, medicine, even antibiotics! Nothing helps. How can I get rid of it?

Please pray for our young, fallen mountie, constable Adrian Oliver. He was only 28. He died in a car crash in Vancouer last week, while on duty. His funeral is today. He leaves behind, his parents, twin brother and long time girlfriend. He was one of my sister's closest friends:( I beleive in prayers and positive energy, hence this post. I hope god will grant his family the patience to live in peace after this tragedy:( I cannot imagine what his twin is feeling:(

I have had a day filled with pain, too many accidents at home in one day:( I will read all replies tomorrow. Right now I have taken a high dosage of pain medication and can't concentrate. Just in response to Elmsre, I would like to say that the packs in may are too bl@@@@dy late!!!! That is the sort of thing we have to have in the beginning of the year, to work with the whole year, not 7 days to the finals! They are absolutely useless then! edited by Irooni on 19/11/2012

Most schools send home the information for example "we will be covering fractions, addition, subtraction etc in our end of term assessments, on such and such a day. Or you could just ask the teacher what they've covered this term. I hate this teaching to the test method surly its better for children to have a firm grasp of the basics then the rest is easy. No! We have assesment weeks not days! Never know if it's maths or English the next day! They say all that we have covered term but where is the paper outlining what was covered?

I cannot believe anyone can perform well and perfectly recall information from 3 months ago, without revision. It could be just half an hour a night, but it is vital. I will never ever understand my school's policy about this!
