Hi EW, Could you please let me know of Accreditated Universities in Dubai or Sharjah offering Bachelors in Biology preferably with scholarships or Grants. Thankyou. The American University of Sharjah offers a Bachelor in Biology. I graduated from there (with a different degree but from the same department) and I would highly recommend the university. AUS has scholarship and financial aid options.

I think an iPad would be your best bet. There a loads of educational games and apps availabe in the appstore. The parents can choose to hide the internet browser from the home screenand set a password to be able to access it.

The JW Marriott brunch is really nice & it's in the entertainer- look for The Market Place vouchers. Kaleidoscope in Atlantis is nice as well. edited by ItsAllAboutTheSugar on 12/06/2013 Kaleidoscope is the dinner buffet and doesnt cover brunch I've used the vouchers for brunch this year so unless anything has changed, then it does.

I'm not too bad with motion sickness. Unless I am reading. I read about one sentence then want to throw up. :( Same here! I can't read anything while in a car. Oh and I suffer from airsickness as well, can't eat or drink anything before or during the flight because I can't keep it down.

PIP? I quite like his recipes and his books are usually quite inspiring.... but he does annoy me in person :) I met him a few years ago (not in a restaurant setting) and i found him charming.............. rather self effacing and with beautiful manners. And he didn't swear once!! I think he is genuinely interested in helping people who need it. I wonder if the restaurant is still open ? Love the Kitchen Nigthmare series but his ****'s Kitchen series does seem OTT sometimes with all the yelling. DIL in the food industry says that swearing goes with the territory but even she gets shocked sometimes. He does not shirk hard work as that's what got him where he is today. Oh my word! Just watched the whole episode. Unbelievable the way this couple acts!!!! If you google their restaurant, their website is still up and running so I would assume the restaurant is still open although I would say not for long after all this craziness!!

JinD, just curious on how you intend to send the parcel. I will be sending a parcel for my friend's birthday and need to know the most cost effective method. I would think the simplest way to send books and DVDs to a friend in the UK would be to order from Amazon.co.uk and get them delivered direct. Thanks simplesabc, think I'll do just that :)

You could also try the little shop as you are leaving through the right hand exit of Spinney's in Mercato. That would be Tavola as well. There are two bigger branches, one in Jumeirah beach road near McDonald's and one in MCC.

Heart-breaking video :( :( so sad. Basically tha cat was ran over by a car which shattered its spine and killed it. The other cat amazingly tries to resuscitate it by performing hear compressions and trying to get it to breathe by mouth-to-mouth but then loses hope. The vet then arrives and tries to save it but it was already too late. The vet is amazed by the other cat's human-like attempts to save it. The video is ended by the question "Who inspired this cat to act this way?" . Whatever you do, do NOT watch Broken City. Just terrible and a waste of 2 hours. Wish I had checked the reviews beforehand but it was a spur of the moment thing. I really loved Life of Pi. I'm looking forward to Die Hard as it looks awesome. <em>edited by ItsAllAboutTheSugar on 11/02/2013</em>

The JW marriot brunch (Thursday and Friday) is lovely. You get to eat from 3 restaurants (one asian, one german, and an international one). Great selection and quality of food. The vouchers are listed under The Market Place. Prices start at 250 per person for the non-alcoholic package.

Hi Suzie, Undici is a good option. Also, further up the same road is the Majaz Waterfront which has several restaurants and cafe's in a nice setting overlooking the Khalid Lake. Hi Have any of you ladies been to Hilli funcity or Wonderland.. is it worth going? TIA I think both parks have seen better days. The last time I visited them they were very outdated and neglected. When I visted Hili, over half the rides were closed. I would not recommend visiting them.

There is always too much on their menu to choose from and I always feel like I end up getting the wrong thing! Try the quesadilla explosion salad. It's to die for. Hmm I quite like that! got an offer from them 89 dhs open buffet 109 dhs with shisha , any review ? I've only been to the one in Deira not the one in JBR. Not sure which one you are referring to. Been there a couple of times and wasn't really impressed. It may be ok for shisha but would not recommend dining there as the food wasn't good.
