I can highly recommend you EDI. I started on 10th of May and on June 11th I've got my driving license. I have chosen the shift package ( depend on how flexible you are ), thanks to some recommendation from EW, I decided to go with Candy ( filipina instructor ), who is just awesome! The package is 40 classes, from which 4 are "highway training", only after you pass the road test. My first try and I passed! I open my file in al quoz, cause I was not happy at all with the branches from MoE and Marina mall, they were useless. I wish you good luck! Isn't Candy just great! Glad to hear she worked out for you and you passed first go as well :D Candy is wonderful!!! So calm and so professional!!! A huge help for me, as I was never driving, not even sitting on that chair before :) :) :) :)

To be honest - I would say it is fairly average. Its not really like a "public" school in the UK, more like a Comp ! On saying that, our son does enjoy it. I also believe they don't have such high entrance standards which is also good. I do not have any experience with any other schools in Dubai, so I cannot make a fair comparison. Sorry if this isn't really helpful. Thank you, I'll try to get an app.

Emirates International is a good & one of the oldest IB schools. They have branches in Meadows & Jumeirah. Thanks, I'll get an app. with them. Do you have any personal exp. with EIS ?

@valerieann Sorry that I maybe fail the subject, but I would really appreciate if you could give me some info ab the level of teaching in Emirates International School. We like to change our daughter's school, and considering EIS also, because is near our home, both , meadows and jumeirah. Thank you and hoping to hear from you.

@ M_K, I meant Deira International School. I would love to find a good IB school near our home, because now my daughter is spending more than 1.5hours on 1 way. At the beginning, she was at home around 3.45, by now after more than 1 year, she arrives about 4.30-4.45, because they got more children in the bus.

Thanks Birki , for your advice. I would still like to learn about personal experiences. Lucky us, until now we didn't need to get on any waiting list.

We are living in S2, and are happy with everything. The facilities are very well maintained and the building is spotless. Might be because of different management . Hopefully S3 will get better as well.

We give to our teeny girl 70aed/sunday; all the money are handed at 1st of the month according to how many sundays. She keeps and "accountacy book" in order to check on what she is spending all her money. If she is doing any mistake, money will be deducted from the next month allowance. If she is spending everything in once, than bad luck for the rest of time:) Also to get her PM , we set some rules for her to follow. Clothes, school trips or family outgoings we are paying. She pays for her outgoings with her friends only, or if she wishes to get something what we consider is unnecessary :)I'm very proud of her, because she learned very fast to appreciate the value of the money and to follow the rules set. [b'>TEABAG: Hats off for your sons![/b'> My "little girl" helps me also a lot with house work,we don't accept any maid in our home!

Only the Russian Orthodox Church follows the old Julian's Calendar. All the other Christians celebrate the X-mas on 25th dec. It has nothing to do with the Eastern Europe countries.
