Try to make sure that you get any requests in email or letter format. Much easier to proove anything to the rent committee

You won't be covered under travel insurance. They don't normally provide cover where you reside (even though your visa has been cancelled). Your home country also won't cover you for travel insurance here as you have been residing here. You could still use your dubai healthcard as it won't of run out yet. You can always visit any doctor here and just pay for the checkup. You don't have to be a resident.

It is a really good pram. Would recommend it to anyone. It isn't really a great pram to travel with (planes) although we did. I bought the flat bed for it, which we used as a moses basket. It also can be used as the car seat, but only upto about 6-7 months (as they lie flat). How much is the second hand pram ? They are normally in the sale for about 1700 dhs

My DH did ours when we moved. It's only a few holes drilled into the wall and some new bolts from Ace. A really simple job.

If she asked for something that she is not entitled to I would give her nothing. Put the money into a bank account for your kids instead.

I would think that expecting you to show people around you home every week when ever they want to see it for maybe 6 months is very unreasonable, to say the least. I would insist that the landlord or his agent is there to show them around, and only at a time that suits you 100%. This will probably cut the number of visits down. It is only reasonable to let them show potential buyers around, but within reason. I would under no circumstances allow them to view unless you are there as well.

Happy to help. When you are asking for a price make sure you ask them the date of the tyres, also check which make there are offering you, that way you can compare like for like. Don't forget you may well want to have the tyres aligned as well... probably 2-300 dhs.

Hi, Try Formula tyres in sharjah, just after the sahara centre. There are loads of type shops there. Buying tyres from the petrol station is a pretty expensive way to do it. You could also look behind the gold and diamond park on shk zayed. Find out what tyre size you have i.e. 255 55 18 (on the tyre) and then see what brands are available for your car. (google it if necessary). Then go haggle the best price. Don't forget that tyres are still able to pass the inspection here even upto 5 years old. The date the tyre was made is stamped on the tyre itself. It will have something like 2310 which means the twenty thrid week of 2010. Make sure you check the date of the new tyre you are buying and they are no older than 6 months, and maybe upto 3 months old. All the tyres should have the same date on them. If you can't find the date ask them to show you. This way you won't get messed around like I was when I first got here and didn't know. Thankfully a nice English guy who was getting his tyre's done helped me out. Good luck

Just posted this answer on another thread..... I use BUPA, they have been very good, but are not the cheapest. Use a broker, it's much easier. I am sure it is only Abu Dhabi that require medical insurance to be provided by law.

I have no experience with those two companies, but I use BUPA and they have been very good. They are not cheap though. I am pretty sure that you have to be with most insurance companies for normally at least a year before they offer maternity cover, unless it is a work scheme.

You can take people over to the oman boarder crossing who have not been stamped out from UAE. Just ask the boarder crossing offical when getting your UAE exit stamp. You don't have to leave them at the hotel. They don't have to pay anything either. You may well be asked for you car insurance. Most UAE insurance comes with free oman insurance cover, but you can also buy a temporary cover from the oman boarder crossing or just before the UAE exit. Make sure you vistors in the car have their passport as well, as they have to pass through a few check points on the way to Hatta.

Have you checked petrol stations and places like ACE hardware, as it used to top up car batteries (older style ones)

Hopefully they only get a bath or shower once a day, unless they have been swimming or playing in the sand. They (me) are already up early enough in the mornings, but what ever works for you.

Your Welcome, I hope you get them. I know how frustrating it can be to have things delivered here. You could always have it delivered to someone in the UK and akk them very nicely if they would send it over to you here.

Hi, You could try some of the printing shops in Dragon Mart for the stickers. Not sure on the name for the bar as I haven't seen that before. As i have two children, they would be fighting over whose name was on the pram. Bumblebee in Dubai mall might also have something like that. I would also email the sender and ask if they would post to the uk, as sometimes I have had people say yes, even though it only states UK. Good luck
