We have used it. It was quite small the first year but was much much bigger this year. Same as here with all watermarks and some nice restaurants, also has golf which the hubby moaned he didn't get to use. Not sure of the price for this year but if still around €40 then it's deffo worth it.

We are staying in Laguna next week so will be able to offer an update on the facilities etc when we return. We are travelling with our 21 month old son. Also worth to note that Laguna, Dusit, Outrigger and Banyan Tree are all in the Entertainer Travel book, so we are paying for 1 night, 2nd night free and then have 20% off the remaining 6 nights, works out to be a great deal.

We used Goldfish and they were excellent. Three of our friends have also based on our recommendation and were all delighted too. Very reasonable and provided a DVD with 30 approx high res images on.

I think its pretty clear that this group are being naughty as they must have signed the contract to be part of the Entertainer like everyone else and have changed their minds, fair play to them for holding hands up and advising people not to go. We have the app and its telling me i've saved 2,364aed so far this year, which is bloomin brilliant so i think lets just enjoy this for what it is, a great saving tool and find some new places to enjoy some grub! edited by Jenc123 on 26/02/2014 What it's not telling you is how much more you spent to save that amount ... That's quite irrelevant Dolley and non of their concern. If i can't afford it i won't spend it. Entertainers job is to deliver savings and for me, they are doing that. <em>edited by Jenc123 on 26/02/2014</em>

You cannot remove any money you pay in for the first 18 months with ours and i am guessing most are the same. Our take is that everyone is different, we are fortunate to save more here than we could ever dream of in the UK so while we are here we are. If in 10 years we miss out or have to lower the premiums then at least we have accumulated a good pot. After 3 years our plan is work 40% or more than we have invested, i know this as i met with the consultant just yesterday. Ultimately your decision though as only you know your future plans and financial situation.

MBS is sold out, and to be honest more than we want to pay for this leg of the trip. Area wise where would you suggest please? We had been advised Orchard road or Clarke Quay. We want to see the city and like to explore/walk. We wont be doing what we can here in terms of waterparks/aquariums etc, but heard the night zoo is a must for kids.

We have used it for the last 3 years, Fairmont & Shangri-La in Abu Dhabi, Bab Al Shams and also at the Angsana in Phuket this coming March. The cost is more than their internet rate but the saving is always far greater with the removal of a night's fee.

Staying at the Angsana Laguna in Phuket which looks fantastic, its in the Entertainer Travel so saved on one nights fee plus got 20% off which is a bonus. Not booked Singapore hotel yet, so many to choose from!!! Enjoy whatever you decide to do.

We have the app, only used it once so far at Nasimi and 3 vouchers were accepted without any issues. I guess with anything like this we have to be a bit patient as its new for all of the staff too but i'm sure annoying when takes 30 mins. Fingers crossed as it a winner as so much more convenient, DH and I are both logged in on the one account so still able to share.

Recreating Xmas in the blazing sun is always going to be difficult, doing so on an over abused park which has less grass than the atlantic ocean makes it even harder. This is not a christmas market in any form and is just a commecialised little brother of Taste of Dubai. Pantomine was too loud and pretty poor, snow machine was really hurting the kids, the grotto was awful and the queues were horrendous. I agree that to experience a proper xmas atmosphere you are much better heading to a school event than this, at least there are kids involved with the stores and carol singing etc and plenty of affordable activities for them to enjoy.

Hey all, i was in MCC yesterday and spent about 15 mins with them on the stand to try and figure it all out. Basically the app is an exact replica of the books, so you only need to buy one or the other. SEY83 is correct, you have a pin and the restaurant has one too, so its all done on your phone, no need to print anything. You will be able to have 4 family members logged into the same account so a family can all use it the same as sharing a book, but this will prevent people swapping vouchers randomly i guess, so no extra golf vouchers for DH! If your kids don't have a smart phone then you will still need to buy the books. I think we will go for the app's for 2014 and see how we get on but no harm in still buying the books.

Sorry should have said, the row is totally empty. They are just saying that as it's a separate reference they can't change it, however if we were on the same reference there would be no issue at all. So now we will have to annoy someone or a lot of people on the flight. Sorry for the rant but just shocked by their service or lack of.

You are so right regards the calculator and lack of awareness here, we are forever telling people about it. I have another question please, our sister also lives here and she signed a non-renewable agreement last year. Does the LL have to issue the 12 month notice letter at the time of the agreement or is it just a given that she has to leave after the 12 months? Thanks

Deffo hire a car, it will be cheaper to hire a car for 2 weeks than a taxi one way from the airport and yes there is lots to explore around the area, Paphos and Limassol are both 20-30 mins away. Hubby played golf at Aphrodite and said it looked a great overall setup but i haven't been, we stay near Limassol when we go. The Entertainer has a Cyprus book as well for a few years now which is much better this year than before. Happy to help with any Cyprus trivia as we love it there.

We did this a year ago to the day from T1. We simply went to the passport control area, were then guided to an immigration office close by and they completed a form and that was it. Probably took 15 minutes with some additional flaffing around. The passport control guy then wrote some arabic in the passport and hey presto it was done. We then sorted visa as soon as we got back.

RERA Calculator doesn't request how long you have been in the property so i don't think this is a factor anymore is it? Our calculator said no increase, the agency agreed with this but then tried to add 7,000 in AC charges despite the agreement stating it was included. It seems everyone is trying to rob that extra dirham where they can!

Haha RTA!! They told my colleague to lodge a complaint whilst in the cab and today they call to confirm that multiple drops are not permitted, even if there is a queue as long as the runway, so raising the complaint, as advised to do so by RTA was totally pointless in the first place. I hate the way Dubai is getting back to its greedy ways and this is a prime example of RTA cashing in. A) it would reduce the queue, B) it would reduce the traffic, C) it would reduce the pollution but D for Dubai) it would reduce the profits!!

Since when were multiple drops denied? I got a taxi last night from T2 and the queue had over 60-70 people in it. As my colleague lives 3 mins away from me in the Marina it makes sense for us to share a cab, but the driver out right refused. My colleague is Emirati and called RTA and they said multiple drops are fine, which means its the companies choice. My colleague has actually filed a complaint with RTA. Surely for efficiency, shorter queues and the sake of the environment multiple drop off's should be encouraged not denied!

Just an update on this. Despite my requests no invoices were ever produced and as such they have rolled over and we are renewing at the same rate as last year with chiller included. It was purely a trick to try and get an additional 5,000AED and hope we were too busy to check the contract or know anything about what we signed. Does anyone actually conduct an honest business in this place!?!?!?

We dealt with Claire and the photographer was Becky. They came armed with props and we had some too, DS teddys and blanket etc. Becky had some great ideas and was open to ours too. Tye have a good facebook page that i follow, shows a lot of their work. Honestly couldn't fault them, even DH was delighted we did it and we then used photo box in the UK to print some acrylics to send as gifts to family there. Enjoy :) <em>edited by Jenc123 on 26/05/2013</em>

We are living in the Torch in the Marina and our renewal is due next month. The agent has agreed there is no rent increase based on RERA calculator but is trying to get us to pay 8,000aed in AC charges for the year completed which we is just a trick to get more cash. First of all the AC was included when we signed and we have received no bills all year. Secondly we barely have it on so there is absolutely no way we have such a high bill! We used to pay it in our last place and it was never more than 160-180 a month. Does anyone live in the torch and pay their bill? We are in a 2 bed 1,300 sqft. Why can they not just play by the rules instead of all these silly games?!?!
