My Daughter was bed wetting for many years and we kept taking her to the doctor who gave us tablets, alarms etc. Eventually she was checked out and she had a very small bladder and we had to increase her liquid intake to stretch it. It took a while but we finally got there. Maybe you could get this checked out, good luck :)

Thanks Catawba my husband has asthma and it is the Maintainence company who service our A/C and I didn't think they were doing it properly as they were just cleaning the grills like you said. I will look into this company, especially if we are going to be stayin in the villa another year. Thanks again :)

We use Salam for all a/c repairs and cleaning. His team came round just yesterday for a full clean. They were very thorough and we're very happy with the results. He charges 700dhs per unit, and that includes everything (coil, filters, grilles). Salam 050 498 3137. Thanks Sam7 edited by jenny916 on 09/09/2014

I make my own pesto and put it in jars make sure it is covered in olive oil to seal the top and it will keep for three months in the fridge, I found freezing can sometimes make the basil black

Every other day for 3-4 minutes or once a month for 30 minutes is the advice we get in Victory Heights ... Our gardener leaves the sprinklers on for over three hours, only found out today as I was at the villa all morning, this can't be right!

Hi All, Why don't you pick one of our hosted coffee mornings to meet up at and take it from there? It's not allowed to arrange meet ups on the forum unfortunately. We've got 10 a week all round town and they will continue over the summer. Great, safe place to meet members from the forum and to make new friends. All the details can be found here on the Coffee Mornings page http://www.expatwoman.com/dubai/monthly_events_whats_on.aspx#CoffeeMorning Warm regards, EW Admin Thanks Admin

I also think this is interesting. I've found that there is stuff happening over the weekends, but not a lot happening during the week. I'd really like to find a bunch of people who get out and explore (weather permitting) the area. I love taking photos, but not too sure about straying too far from the malls, etc. If anyone knows of such groups, please let me know. OP sorry to hijack. I feel like you as well... Puck I would be up for keeping you company!

Hi Jenny, can you come along to coffee morning in the Mercato Mall tomorrow morning? It's on from 10-12 and there is a wide range of ages, very friendly and welcoming. Hop in a taxi if you are nervous driving. We meet upstairs in the coffee place by the kids play area, Plaisir du Chocolat. Hope to see you there :-) Hi Oldtimer. Tuesday morning is the only time I actually do something as I help out at a nursery close to where I stay, will look at the other coffee mornings though thanks

Hi jenny, sorry to hear you're finding it hard to settle. Could you let us know a bit about your interests, hobbies etc? Also, do you know EW run coffee mornings - check out What's On page :-) Don't worry, everyone has been in your position at some point. Thanks Whiteorchid I will do that!

I was in Houston for three years and my daughter went to The British School of Houston. We lived in Katy which is a lovely suburb and my daughter got the school bus in to school from a car park which was a mile away or so. You need to be able to drive in Houston as nothing is close beside you and there is no public transport and taxis are only in the downtown area.
