Sabrina.... you are a very kind strong person! How hard to take that poor doggie to the vet to check and then take him back home and bury him!! Very sad but thank you. I am sure there is someone out there that this poor pooch belongs to but you have taken the time to care about him... I have 3 little ones and would be so grateful if someone did that for mine if that happened.. Bless youX

Still no Blackie.... we look everywhere everyday? I just can't imagine where he went or what happened! Just wish there was someone out there who could answer... he was the most special, loved, affectionate amazing stray cat!!! Just wish he would come home... very sad!

Not picking on any airline! Just saying to get home to Oz is so expensive coz it is so faraway!!! And....it gets worse every year!! But that's life I guess so we take whatever suits us to get home... Just do not like the fares going up quarterly or everytime I check to go home!!! No one wants to take 48 hours to get home!! Financially times are tough but so is time..

Nomad thank you so much for getting this onto the main forum tonight...hopefully it will stay here for a while! Just so sad about our Blackie.. 5 nights he has been gone and I am so worried about him. He is such a beautiful cat and he was so happy here with us so I know he would not run away... Please can anyone help?? We saved a stray cat last summer and he has been living with us ever since. He is so loved and spoilt and hardly ever leaves our villa, however on Monday evening he went for a walk and has not come home. We have seached the streets for the past 2 nights so please if anyone has seen him can you let me know. He is black and white and has had his left ear tipped by the vet. He has beautiful yellow eyes and has been neutered. His name is Blackie and he has a loud meow. We live off 37th St just down from Lifco and the Mosque. We are so sad! Thank you so much! I had a post on the main forum but it's disappeared I think! I just don't know where our boy has gone... he never goes anywhere! I just hope wherever he is that he is okay and not in a bin somewhere... it's just a horrible thought! I am not going to give up and just keep expecting him to be meowing outside or at the door when we call him. It's just so sad.....

We did and when we called and got there they said there were no "microchipped" cats that had been caught in their care... The man there said they keep them separately. Just keep waiting to hear him meowing and be home... after saving him with a broken pelvis in that terrible summer heat last year following him around all day and night for days whilst he was in agony and then eventually having him become our beautiful boy it's unbearable to imagine what has happened to him! Just very sad.....Will just keep looking!!

Thank you so much for caring! No news.... been wandering the streets till the early hours calling his name and shaking his food tin and squeaking his favourite toy. I know he wouldn't have just left us! He was so happy and content, loved and spoilt here with us. Something has happened to him.. he is microchipped and I have advertised and called the vets and Municipality but nothing? Just keep hoping and praying if he is sick or lost he will find his way back to us... or that he is at least safe somewhere? Very heart breaking...... but will keep searching....

Hi thanks so much for your reply. We walked around till 3am this morning with his food box as well as the night before and have driven around most of the day stopping and calling. We are heartbroken... Will have a look at the Pets and Vets section and will keep looking. He never wanders off... very sad!!!!

We have a very sweet little ginger kitten about 6 months old that is a "stray" which we have just had neutered and microchipped as well as being vaccinated that needs a home! He is downstairs in our bathroom as he only had his operation yesterday. Please if there is anyone out there who is looking for a kitty please contact me.. no charge!! Many thanks!

Always been a Nokia girl... got an Iphone4 for my birthday and it does everything... absolutely love it and so easy to use!!!! Ipad Macbook Pro and Iphone are the way to go.... all so amazing and you lose nothing if you sync them all!!!

hahaha I am laughing!! I was meeting my friend there today and it was bedlam, especially around the Aquarium area.. had this picture in my head of a sudden leak!!!!!! It was chaos and the taxi queue was even worse at 4pm!!! Never again......... Mirdif City Centre here I come!!!!

How does one just ignore and pretend that kittens in your backyard are not there? There is a mommy kitty who is not much more than a kitty and has a litter of 5 kittens!!! Don't know what to do as there are so many and there is fresh water outside and we have started giving them food (because how can you just let them starve)!!! We have spent a lot of money taking cats to be neutred or spayed but cannot just go on and on.... don't know why they always end up inside our villa garden?? Feline Friends are overwhelmed with cats to find homes for....

Hi!! I used to get RLS all the time..especially at night and sitting on a plane for 16 or more hours!! Enough to drive you mad having to get up and walk or do something to move your leg or legs!! (Mine is always my right leg)!!I find a Panadol Night when RLS is driving me nuts helps a lot and also S****X as someone else said.. I don't know what causes it but it is terrible!!! Gym, bananas and "you know what" all help and if not try a Panadol Night availabe at pharmacies!! Hope you can find something to help... it is really awful.. just thinking about it makes my leg feel strange!!!

Hi... late at night and understanding how you feel... have lived in more than 10 countries so am very used to feeling a bit strange and lonely for more than a while... there are always wonderful friends to be made out there and from the posts you have received you can see that you just have to find friends that you can fit in with and be happy to be with. Dubai is what you make it... the same as any other place and having children makes making friends a whole lot easier... don't worry..in a few months you will be happy and comfortable here! Just wake up in the morning and smile... and know that it does get better!
