Hi derien, We already know where we'd like to move so can leave as soon as we can find someone to live in our house. There is a maid's room outside and a front and back garden too. Cheers

Thank you for the responses, I agree 1 cheque is too high and to be honest the guy was quite rude on the phone when we tried to negotiate and explain that it is no longer the time for 1 cheques in Dubai!? So will continue looking and hopefully be able to find something soon. Good to know re doggies, I noticed that the lakes are a much nicer walk for the doggies as opposed to round our block in Jumeirah now! :)

oohh thanks! I'll have a look out when driving around to see if I can spot them! Oh that's nice to know that you also have 2 dogs, wasn't sure what the community was like for dog owners?.. Is there anywhere they are not allowed to be?

Oh that would be great! Thank you so much... Its a 3 bedroom villa in Jumeirah 2, with a maids room outside, it has 2 gardens (front and back).. we are currently paying 145K, 4 cheques.. but I think they can negotiate it down to 140k. Let me know if they would like to come see it? My problem is we are looking to move to the springs and cant leave before our one year contract is up (without paying a penalty) unless we can find someone to fill the villa when we want to move. Let me know if they would like more info?

Yes thats what I figured and to be honest I havent seen any other springs 2 bedroom villas for more than 100K with at least 2-3 cheques so was quite surprised that it was 110k PLUS only one cheque which seems that he is not willing to negotiate on.. anyway we gave in our offer and lets see what he says, doubt he'll budge though!

Hi Freckly, yes its a corner villa (which is quite important to us since we have 2 dogs and do need the extra outside space) and the back opens up to one of the lakes? Do you know of any corner villas that are empty in that area? Thanks,

Thanks STILLadviceseeker, Yes it is much nicer than most of the ones we've seen and to be honest 110k is worth it in my opinion but the one cheques is what concerns me and wondering if that is the norm in most of the springs villas? I have tried to negotiate but says landlord won't budge.. back to searching I suppose! Although we can't move until we can find someone to replace us in our current house.

Hi everyone, Just curious to know what the rent is like at Springs 2, I currently live in Jumeirah with my husband and 2 dogs and the villa is frankly too big for just us (its a 3 bedroom villa +maids room outside). We've had a look at a few 2 bed villas in the springs and seems like rent is anywhere from 80k-110k? We've found one that we really like in springs 2 but its for 110k for only one cheque? Is that normal? We currently pay 145k with 4 cheques and I thought this was the norm nowadays? Also it seems that we have a clause in our current contract that we can't leave before end of one year unless we can find someone to live in our current villa, so if you know of anyone looking to move, can you please let me know?
