On Christmas Night when we were all watching whatever big film was on and eating chocolates, my mum would appear with two big boxes wrapped in Christmas paper for my brother and me. Inside were what seemed like hundreds of tiny presents all wrapped individually. My mum would buy any wee things she saw through the year for the box. My brother and I loved it, it took ages to unwrap them all, some things were so funny, it could be a tin of beans, a glue stick, sample sizes of toiletries, fabulous fun

Hinze57, I felt you were reading mind with your comments, same here, married even longer than you, told me he wasnt happy and had me jumping through hoops for 9 months trying to 'fix' us, and on anti-depressants when all along he had someone on the side, making plans for their future.

I am a size 37 but find my feet have gotten wider whilst living here, really need a wider fit shoe, at moment, love New Look range for wider fit, trendy (not comfortable old fashioned shoes), lots of lovely shoes here but made for skinny feet !

Just moved to 2 bed in springs 9, love it, huge lake 2 streets away and play park 1 street away, pool next door in springs 8, and so quiet, at the far end, but links to Al Khail or MOE fab, got it through Better Homes

Have to agree with comments re More, my firend has breakfast there recently and was very ill afterwards. I would recommend Emirates Golf Club, fabulous buffet breakfast and think only about Dhs 60

Nicolas and Asp dental college near Wafi, I was quoted Dhs 20,000 for braces but having them done at dental college for Dhs 7500, service is fantastic, very professional

Hi Nadia, my experience. My husband had an operation on his knee in June this year with Dr Bhatia, which was to make him painfree for the summer, and then a knee replacement to be done in September. My husband had no pain relief whatsoever, and was given a further 5 injections in the knee by Dr Bhatia. Due to pain my husband went back home (Scotland) in August to see a consultant there. The consultant was in shock, and told him the operation should never have been done in the first place, nor the injections, and he DOES NOT require a knee replacement. His knee is now so weak, and worse than when he consulted Dr Bhatia that nothing further can be done until early next year once the knee has managed to get stronger.

I have a cage you can have FOC, it was for my guinea *** so quite big, has a first floor and you can always add ladders and bits and bobs, let me know if you are interested. I am in Jebel Ali area

What about soapy football at Jumeriah Beach, its free, all you need to take is a bottle of fairy liquid, some drinks and food,oh and a football. Kids love it, big blow up plastic football pitch which supervisor guy hoses down regularly and you add soapy stuff and the kids go skidding and sliding, great fun.

Went with my MIL today to Caras, between us we had 6 items to be 'dipped' and 20 items of yellow gold to be cleaned. I was told it would take an hour so came back 2 hours later to make sure they were ready. However, they weren't, the salesman spoke to the manager who unfortunately did get annoyed at the salesman. Upshot was that the manager apologised and asked for my address saying he would deliver them to me. And within 2 hours he was true to his word, my items were delivered,lovely and shiny, and no charge to my home (Jebel Ali). What service.my MIL is on holiday from Scotland and is very impressed with this service. Well done Caras.

My son, aged 11, doing football camp at Jebel Ali School of Excellence, nr Jebel Ali Hotel. 5 mornings 9-12, Dhs 650 and then he gets into Jebel Ali Hotel beach free, and accompanying adults get in for dhs 95
