My dogs were 1 and 2 when unfortunately hubby and I split up and I had to move to smaller villa, in Springs. However, after 2 years I can no longer afford this on my own and so have had to reluctantly move to an apartment. I was extremely anxious about my dogs and didnt do this lightly at all, but financially could not afford any villa. We are now in IMPZ, 12th floor, which is not ideal but dogs are allowed here and we (my son and I) just have to make a bigger effort to walk them more often (although sometimes it is a thought to go down 12 floors when previously you could just open the back door). There is a policy which lists which breeds of dogs you are allowed to have in the apartments. I am lucky that my 2 are really small dogs and they have adapted quickly. I could not have contemplated giving them away. But if I had been in an apartment before I got the dogs I would never have taken them, I do still feel a villa and garden is much better. But we all have to adapt as best we can.

So yesterday two technicians from Facilities Management Co came to check the two toilets, drains etc., said they would seal around the toilet bases, which they did. This morning no smell. Sounds too good to be true but here's hoping. But if it does come back, who is a reliable plumbing company, are there any with British qualified plumbers?

I went to DEWA office in JAFZ, very nice and efficient, took hard copy of final bill, copy of passport and visa. I handed over cash to settle final bill but they said I didn't need it, they just deducted this amount from the deposit. So they paid me balance in cash. They didn't ask for receipt of deposit, visa and passport is enough.

Thanks ChilliChai, does that mean that from now until July say she bring buyers every week I have to let them go round my house? Where does the 'reasonable access' clause come from, would like to see what they think as reasonable. I have asked her repeatedly to pay the mainteance but she won't. Could RERA make her pay this?

Think its the rent hikes, I am in a 2 bed with a tiny maids room and seriously is not a big villa, and in my opinion not worth the Dhs 115k they want the rent to incease too. They are old villas and have to say the plumbing/drainage not great, I will be moving out too when lease expires. Don't think landlords being realistic at all.

Had mine done 2 weeks ago and love the results. I have very sensitive teeth and was pretty scared by comments but glad to say I felt no pain, apart from back of my head ! Could've done with a cushion. And my lips were a bit dry few days after. But no pain during or after. Thoroughly recommend Zoom, what a difference. My own dentist did it, Dhs 2500.

I had mine done 2 weeks ago, Zoom system, laser at dentist then trays and take home trays Dhs 2500. I was sooooo scared, put off by horror stories, but I didnt feel a bit of a pain, well ,my head was a bit numb staying on one position, could've done with a cushion ! Ater 3 days my lips were a bit dry. But so pleased with the results. Definitely recommend it. I had it done by my own dentist, GMC Clinic, was skeptical about going to a 'cosmetic' place. Love the results, go for it

Hi, I need a colour correction and have been recommended Anita at Pastels, Al Wasl Road. Unfortunately I need to go on a Friday and Al Wasl branch is closed on a Friday. However, their branch at Ritz Carlton is open on a Friday so will go there but wondered if anyone can recommend someone good at fixing colour? Thanks

Went to Latitude few weeks back and used the vouchers, food fabulous and waiters very attentive, live singer but have to say place was quite empty and not much atmosphere. We were 4 females meeting up for a catch up so was good for us, but if you are looking for a busy, bustling bunch this isn't it.
