Ladies, DH and I want to go to Maldives first week in April. Not even sure where to start deciding on the details to be honest! Can anyone recommend where to go/how to book (travel agents?) We don't have kids to consider, want nice food, opportunity to do some decent diving and would like at least full board option, perhaps even all inclusive. Please help!

Sega - DH tells me that they arrive at the Corniche at around 2.30pm - they do about 8 laps or so and the race finishes at 4pm. We went to the ladies's race last week, really good and there was a family entertainment area open after it. edited by Jonners on 11/02/2011

Saraomar - have you tried going along to the Qatar Professional Womens Network events? http://qpwn.org/ They're having their next get-together on Monday next week: January Networking event! Dont’ forget our next networking event: Monday January 24th 6-8 pm at Bistro 61, Al Fardan Towers. Come enjoy the networking and listen to Kirsty Rice, author of the blog 4 kids, 20 suitcases and a beagle blog deliver an inspirational talk. Hilarious, not to be missed! Might be worth getting some business cards printed up for yourself and going along. I know of one lady who got an excellent job by meeting someone thru this group. Other places to look are on the Qatar Foundation recruitment website. They tend to have lots of jobs and variety. HTH.

RachelA - thanks for sharing, this is good information to know. Would be interested to find out how efficient it is once you get a reply from them.

Ladynorth, it depends on what type of massage you want. DH and I have had treatments at the Diplomati club, I'd thoroughly recommend it. They have a wide selection of massage treatments to choose from. A friend swears by the Millenium hotel for fab sports massages. HTH.

I would also suggest keeping an eye on the Qatar Foundation recruitment site: http://www.qf.org.qa/output/page19.asp The jobs there are very varied.

JillMV - HB and I have eaten at the Saffron Lounge, the Indian restaurant. It was fab! Friends have eaten on various occasions at the Egyptian restaurant (cant remember the name) and thoroughly enjoyed it each time (one of these friends is herself Egyptian so praise indeed!!) Across from the Saffron Lounge there is an outside cafe serving fish n chips and snacks like that, theres also a restaurant (agan cant remember the name but it is the first one you come to after the ice cream shop) which serves coffee and shisha outside so definitely options for a more casual experience if want. HTH :)
