Hi, thanks for your advice ladies. We have now put the cats bowls and litter tray upstairs, and he has eaten and is much happier now. Won't come downstairs yet, but at least he feels like he has his own private space i guess. seems as though time is the only thing that will help, and gradually letting them get used to each other....here's hoping they become like yours Bracey777!

just wanted to share some feedback for those of you with short hair - after giving my regular stylist several attempts to get it right after i went for a much shorter style, i took the plunge and had a really great cut by Georgie yesterday (regular stylist still didnt get it!) - she only cuts, and loves doing short hair! will be going there for my highlights as well i think (anyone had great ones there?) as apart from bring super conveninent for me, it's a lovely salon! and next door to Chi which is the best place for nails etc...so all in all a great little row of shops for pampering!

thanks for your help ladies, the thing some people keep saying is that when you take a puppy, you can be completely responsible for his behaviour, so less likely to have problems with young children, whilst if you take on an older dog, you have no idea how he has been trained or what he has been exposed to so increased risk of him potentially turning on your kids...not sure about that myself as i think when you meet a dog you get a good feel of their charater. what do you think?

we had to go with 2....a maxi cosi fixed in my car, and a Kiddy seat in DH's which is amazing for travelling as it's so light. how old is your DD? we have DS's Kiddy Infinity Pro for sale if you're interested, and his old Maxi Cosi Priorifix. DS1 has moved up to the next group (advice is not to use boosters until the weight/height limits are reached ie child should be 4yr and 18kg)

today is practice day, think they finish around 89pm. tomorrow is the nightmare if you live close by - race starts at 2pm and finishes saturday at 2pm.....consequently off to Bab al shams tomorrow to get some sleep! re the OP post, it will be very loud, so it depends on how your kids deal with noise....

We did ours in 2008,was a great move. We put in an acrylic floor so that it still lets the light in. Not issues with ac. The contractor we use is not taking on small jobs any more unfortunately as he is too busy with large projects. Try someone like belhasa. Well worth the wrok, you need to apply for permissionfrom emaar btw. Good luck

I wish we could help but we're also away, particularly as we will be adopting one of the pups once he is old enough to come to us in mid/late jan....:) But I just wanted to add to what Kristina mentioned, that the pups and mum are all gorgeous, mum has a lovely nature and is very calm, and happy for people to cuddle her and her pups... so for anyone who can, they are lovely, and they will certainly make your xmas more entertaining! :)

Would so love to take one of these pups, fact is, they're here and we cant change that, and at least we would make the effort to take the best care of a breed not so suited to the climate, but paying for one would only encourage the owner to breed them again i think... :(

Humm interesting. Mine was an etisalat sim and the cutting worked perfectly? With the sim cutter you would know actually as it has to slot in to cut it edited by JulesLC on 30/11/2011

@Pia, no I didnt, whilst lots of things looked great, there were a few things that didnt cut it @nbm, Wonder Years is the correct name for the nursery in Sports city, Little Wonders is in Jum, think there was some confusion on the name hence the misleading title of the thread... nbm - we are also in AR, and havent found a good solution, we commute to a nursery in Umm suqueim - blossom village. if you're asking about BV re class sizes, they are not large and well staffed! not sure about the original blossom

I went through 2 start up nurseries that were closer to home and promised big things, and was disappointed each time. Ended up moving 2 Dss to established one, and they are so much more settled and have learnt so much. I think the advantage is that the set up already works like clockwork, whereas with a new set up, it takes a long time to all bed in... good luck, tough decision

Hi - have you checked whether the staff have refilled his bottle? I always get told if the bottle has been refilled...i also know of one place that gets them to drink lots of water so that meal times are shorter because kids are not hungry! also how long has this been going for - is it a phase or has it been a while?
