A good washing machine should last you atleast 6 years is what a salesman once told us, but provided that we take care of it. Reading the Manual etc. We have a Bosch machine, it was perfect, making no noise etc. But of late, It has started making some noises. I guess its important to fix the small problems fast before something really goes wrong. And I think I should practice what I preach. :)

Thank you gals for being soo sweet and giving out soo much info. Thanks Beebers for being soo patient with all of us and replying to everybody. Hats off ! I have questions for you. Are you still continuing the Body For Life program? Is the exercise routine too rigorous( as I have back problems)? Is it something we can do at home or do we have to go to a gym?

Thanks soo much ladies! You are a real pillar of support. Its lovely to just be able to let out your feelings and there are lovely people like you all to support. The reason I dint do dukan seriously was because it was quite unhealthy i thought. It worried me and i recently also heard of someone who developed a liver problem by following a high protein det. Thanks Beebers, will surely check on that book. Will also look at paleo If any of you know of some diet which is reasonable and can be maintained Forever please let me know. Thans

Hi Jane, there are a lot of agencies in dubai but we got our maid from an agency in Sharjah called Manpower (Al falah). 06-5738606, 06-5738101, 050-3859123 these are the numbers. this agency is very flexible in taking maids back and replacing them or refunding money within 3 months if you are not happy but it is based in sharjah. We got an ethiopian maid as they are the cheapest in terms of sponsoring. Agency charged AED 2000/- as their fee and visa cost was AED 5000/- She lives with us and we paid her 800 for first year and now aed 1000/- per month. For renewal of her visa, we just paid another AED 5000/- for this year. She cleans and looks after our son. I only have 1 child and I cook myself. You can train your maid the way you want. I read a very good comment on this forum once, that its best to get a new inexperienced maid because she does not come with any expecation or previous baggage from her last job. I totally agree with this..Good luck with your maid search! Hope you get a good one...

I need help. I m desperate. Nothing seems to work for me. Can anyone suggest a diet plan. I have done a body detox two years back. Where i lost weight (10 kg) and gained it all back gradually. I tried Dukan but dint stick to it. Pls help. I m back to my old shape. Help, how do I get rid of these hips, bottoms and thighs for good?

I guess it also depends on who is visiting you. If its your parents or in laws, you would be paying for them. But with friends, I guess its like sometimes they and sometimes you. And they also try to pay back by getting you and family gifts.

Thanks everyone for your replies, but its very hard to ignore someone who shares a wall with your house, there will always be times that you need to stay in contact with them for various reasons, and so far it has always been very unpleasant. Anyhoo, there is not much to be done I guess just to put up with it, and hope they will move out eventually!!:\: Maybe you need to show more attitude so they feel what u feel now and they will eventually move out :)
