Maybe join www.dupaws.com and offer pet boarding at your home, it's a great way to spend time with dogs or cats without getting committed for life or if you cannot foster a senior dog. Most of the pet sitters on Dupaws are people who are willing to spend some time with pets and are not ready to adopt.
It's not easy for anyone to give up their dog, no matter what others say. I have seen in one of the Dubai Facebook groups a woman who had cancer and wanted someone to take care of her 2 rescued cats, yet some "animal lovers" started bashing her saying that she shouldn't abandon her pets even in this situation! I personally find it disgusting when people judge each other without considering this living conditions or situations. I know pets are supposed to stay with us for life, but sometimes life doesn't go as originally planned.
