We have an Edge and love it! We have had it since DS was 3 months old, and it has worked perfectly for our needs. We have a Quinny Buzz and although it takes up alot of boot space there is still room for shopping etc. Love the size - not too big or small. Easy to park but the turning circle is poor. We had the car serviced a few months back, and were very impressed by the customer service! Much better than we expected! HTH :)

Are Walking Reins worth buying and if so where could I find some? Do they sell the backpack style ones here? I'm thinking they could be useful at times!! DS is 15 months and just started walking Thanks :)

I LOVE Lebkuchen!!! Yumm!!! I've also seen them in M&S - in the Festival Centre branch. Bought some from C4 in Mirdif a few days back - they have a few different sorts. They are Bahlsen ones. Havn't tried them yet, might have to crack them open tonight! :-)

I also went to the Ranches fair. Arrived 30 mins after it opened but found it too crowded and didnt stay long. Shame as there were some lovely items for sale. Hope they can find a bigger venue next time

Excuse my ignorance here, but just to clarify... If I wanted to see a match I could go along any Friday (from 3.30pm) between now and the first Tournament on Fri 18th November and there would be a game? Thanks :)

Absolutely LOVED Shantaram, The Help, Room and Water for Elephants! I have to say I was a little dissapointed by One Day, whilst its an fantastic book it didnt quite match my expectations after hearing all the hype. Still, I had trouble putting it down!! Just started A week in December, which will be followed by The Slap, We need to talk about Kevin and When God was a rabbit My fave all time book has to be The Book Thief! Cant wait till Xmas so I can stock up again! Think I will be adding Bill Bryson's At home to the wish list!

When is a good age to introduce LO to a pillow? When the time comes what type of pillow should I look for and where could I buy it? DS has just turned one, and I'm wondering when to start using one! Thanks :)

Thank you ladies :) Do you think it would be safe to make a buttercream cake and leave in a cake tin for a few days, or should it be refrigerated, as it contains butter? TIA

Hello Ladies, I recently made a cake for DS birthday. It was a sponge cake sandwiched with buttercream icing, and I also used a thin layer of buttercream all over the cake before covering with ready rolled icing. I stored the cake in the fridge and when I came to serve it the following day it had gone all wet and sweaty! I had read that its best not to store iced cakes in the fridge as they sweat, but thought it would be a safe option as it contained buttercream. In future would it be safe to keep it in a cake tin, and if so for how long? TIA :)

Hi, Next week we are flying to the UK with our 11 month DS. On four of the previous six flights DS has thrown up, and not just a little bit! He has been fine before and after vomiting, it just seems that nothing wants to stay in his stomach when we are in the air. I wonder if there's anything I could do to help prevent him being sick? Its a day flight and he will be due his lunch during the flight. If I fed him little and often would this be better than giving his lunch in one go? Are there certain foods that would digest quicker, or that I should avoid? Any advice appreciated. TIA:)

I saw a couple in Babies R Us (Festival Centre) but it was months ago. They were in the downstairs section against a wall not far from the car seats. Maybe you could call and ask Hope you manage to find one! :)

Hi Sarah, Yep, you need to go to Soccer Circus to register and pay. You'll find Soccer Circus in Playnation, which is on Level One near the South East entrance. Just been there to sign up 7 month DS, so hope to see you there!! :)

I'm thinking of attending Mirdiff Boogie Babies (in Soccer Circus MCC) with my 7 month DS. Just wondering if anyone with similar aged bubbas is attending, or thinking of attending this? I have been to other classes before and found DS to be the youngest by quite a few months so it would be good to know if any similar aged bubbas are interested in going! TIA :)

We used to have a Sony Bravia as our main tv, then purchased a smaller Samsung tv for the bedroom. We were so impressed with the picture quality on the Samsung that we now have now purchased another Samsung as our main tv

Sorry to hear your news. I have also had two miscarriages in a row. The second time i opted for a D&C. I had the operation at 9am and left hospital at 2pm (this was in the UK though) I am now sat at home with 4 month old DS having thought we would never have a baby. Hope you manage to stay positive and that a happy outcome is around the corner x

I tend to buy at least one new item a week, but that is usually for basics such a plain tops. Every few months i'll treat myself and splash out on something really nice. Since being pregnant and giving birth to DS i have shopped less, as my figure is not as it was and i get more excitement by buying somehting nice for DS :-)
