Hi, I am also living there. It is a change from the Marina. The bad sides are there are nothing much around so you really need a car. Lots of construction going on and feel a little isolated. The good side that makes me stay there is the size of the places (villas or apartments) for your money. It is well worth it, new and spacious.

Thanks Drew14. However, I prefer having a trainer at my place as I want my daughter to be around. I think I will feel more confortable with a lady trainer also.

Actually, you need 2 witnesses and you will have to see the family counselor first. The divorce will not take very long if you both are in agreement and you do not need a lawyer in this case. Sorry about your divorce.

D.Gardens will become a International City part 2. It`s quite similar already, and with the rents going down even more it will become a proper ghetto. Not everyone has your budget Fondue! DG is a place to live and save money; that is why most of us moved to UAE.

Depending on the area you choose to live, the package should be manageable. I am a single mum with just the salary portion of your package - no accom, no car, no school allowances. I drive a decent car, got a large 3-br, kids in premium schools, shop till I drop sometimes, some dining outside, lots of kids entertainment, Maid, get my nails done every two weeks! and yes I have a holiday with the kids every year and I buy the tickets and all expenses myself. Yes, there's no savings, but its all possible. Packages are not as they used to be before and the package is not that bad. Of course its all relative and you need to keep in mind your goals. Good luck. wow summerdream, you are like a super mama!!! in which area do you live? OP: yes the package below is manageable in Dubai. Ok you wont drive a luxury 4x4 or get the 2 storey villa at the Marina area but it is more than enough if u manage it well. And here in dubai, there are lots of discounts and deals; so even fine dinners out, shopping, spas are affordable.

I was also researching this and I read that it can be done every month if you like since it's a treatment. Like Sabrina said, it should last 2-4 months depending on your hair and how many times you wash it and of course if you are using a sodium chloride free shampoo/conditioner. Keila did you get the treatment done at the Emirates Beauty Lounge? How was the texture of your hair before and how is it now? Hi, I had the keratin treatment for the 1st time with Karisma Salon in Dubai Media City about a month ago. I was not really impressed with the salon, the stuff and it was a very small place (I did understand why there was a deal for it). Also the lady was from an asian country who does not talk unless it is necessary. I had to wash my hair myself after 2 days ( I believe that some salons include the washing in the price after 2 or 3 days). Anyhow, I love the result of my hair. My hair was very dry and now it looks silky, smooth and straight. Thanks for the info below, I guess I will wait for another deal on Keratin probably next month, as there are so many nowadays. Sabrina: can you share your experience with Yuko?

Hi Keila Are you going to be completely alone or have a small person with you? Makes all the difference to what gets suggested! Don't be nervous - I'm all alone this weeknd too and really looking forward to it - cinema, eating what I want when I want to... going to bed really early with Jack Reacher :D I will be with my LO now.... but I am not looking forward to it... cinema, eating out and going early to bed with JR or else are kind of routine. Goa is an option... will try to book a flight now ;)

For an adult; it is not worth the price. For a child (from 6 - 15 average); it is worth the price. Overall, it is worth the price to you go only once... A second visit will not be necessary. But this is my pesonal opinion.

I find the ones who are very aggressive are usually the ones with really low self esteem and that makes me feel sorry for them. Anyone who has to pick on others on an online forum usually wouldn't have the guts to it in public. There is always a way of saying things so as not to cause offense even if one does not agree with a certain opinion, those who dont manage it have yet to grow up. What a load of codswallop! you have self-esteem issues BR ??? lolol :D and :D edited by Keila on 15/06/2011

<Bump> I've a lot more than that to lose, Keila and I find it terribly difficult to do anything whilst buying and cooking for the family. Maybe I should just try Lively for myself and pretend my place is in the kitchen as a chef for everyone else. You sound as if you had success with "Lively". Over how long did you use it and how much did you lose, if I may ask? Did you also exercise? Yes I have subscribed a couple of times with Lively. I used to take the full day packages for 1 month (excluding week ends). At the end of the month, I just couldnt eat it anymore (blend sometimes) but there was a good results. I lost a little more than 10 kg; however, I was exercising a lot on the side. I would like to take this package because now, I do not have time to exercise and to cook; so I figure that at least an healthy meal will help.

It is every Monday night at the Millenium hotel in Al Barsha. the restaurant's name is toshi and is located on the 18th floor... stunning view, good atmosphere and delicious food. Yummy

Doesn't matter what you do, you'll feel the guilt anyway, whether you go back to work or stay at home, breastfeed or bottlefeed, send to nursery or keep at home. You'll always find something to feel guilty about. Trust me, if it's not returning to work, it'll be something else. You're scr**ed! Wise and accurate words. Totally agree... thanks lemondrops... this is sadly true edited by Keila on 15/06/2011

License plate beginning with I and having a BOB sticker in the back! I hope there was a really good reason why you were speeding like a maniac around these residential roads. Not only did you cut me up at the roundabout, but you then went on to nearly collide with a mini-van turning into Spinneys! Well done - you're an idiot! quite not sure that this message will reach the driver... :\:

thing is keila, we have to 'accept' that it is cultural but why cant others accept that in OUR culture it is rude to make comments like that? we have to be PC when it comes to others, and most of the time we are, but they 'get away' with things because it's their culture? just a question ... wow... I am still insisting that the fact that they comment on your life style is part of their cultural habits but I have never mentioned to accept it; this is up to you... By reading these treads and also from my personal experiences (yes, I do get these comments a lot also), I want to point out that you do not need to get so offended because in most of the cases, it is just a misunderstanding due to cultural differences. It is rude for westerners but how can they realise how rude this was you do not "enlighted" them. Most of women will be too offended to say anything back to the attendant and leave the shop all feeling bad. Some women just tell them off in different ways and have mixed feeling when leaving the shop. I believe that the same attendant will realize that this is not acceptable for some nationalities (well, it should be for all women on this planet) depending on your respond.

For the last time, it's not culural, it's just plain rude. My ex-Maid had a friend in the compound who was also overwheight. My Maid used to tell me that it's because she eats this and that. ONe day, I asked her why she didn't say something to her friend about her eating habits. "Because Mam, she my friend, she might get hurt! edited by SwissGirl on 14/06/2011 Very strange... this is not cultural.... However, all these attendants are from the same backgrounds ....:\: Also, I believe that all people who get offended are from the same backgrounds too...

Agree too and as said earlier, this is just rude and sadly, have met lots of people who think that way. Also to return to the subject, it is a cultural habit... I have noticed that people with the same nationality (no matter where work, what they do, how they spend their time); they will comment about your personal life style, habits, etc.... It is indeed very annoying and do not realize that these comments are not welcomed for most of the westerners. However, in most cases, they say innoncently. One thing to consider is that english is not their first language; even tho they are good speakers; so the word "Fat" is way easier to remember and prounonce that the words "over weight" or "un healthy" or "slightly big" etc.

Just tell her/him : that's why you will live and die as shop attendant. This will keep their little hole in their face shut. then they will never ever say anything like that... on the other hand, you can talk to the manager or the owner of this shop, tell him this little comment irritate you and your colleges - if they have had it - when the attendant say junk food on what they sell it's not funny, and maybe the municipality need to have a look at the (junk) they sell in that shop. The last option will make those suds keep quit and not make this kind of comments any more. That is a little too rude... I think that they are trying to be friends as your face seems familiar to them... it's a cultural thing I think because they do it everywhere to anyone... On the bright, they also stop doing it once you made yourself clear about the sort of relationship you want it to be like.

I love it too... saves me lots of money... I use it with my maid this time; as she does not cook and I am just tired to cook diner when I reach home from work... Plus, on week ends, I usually eat out... so in my situation, it is so worth it! Now if you like to cook each time, it is ok. This book is still worth it for the activities like Wild Wadi, ifly, Aquaventure, snow in MOE, etc... or when you have visitors... you always end up getting your money back from buying the book even half way tru the end of the year.
