Hi! We were in the same boat last year when we moved here - trying to decide between the Marina and Downtown. Ultimately, we chose the Old Town community in Downtown and couldn't be happier. It's 10 mins with traffic to/from DIFC versus 45 mins-1 hr from DIFC to the Marina during rush hour... There's a souk in Old Town with a Baker & Spice, grocery store, pharmacy, doctor's office, nail salon, spa, restaurants, and more. After settling down in Dubai without a car for 9+ months, I found Downtown to be much more walkable than the Marina. For us in Old Town, we have The Palace, Vida and Al Manzil hotels all within minutes of each other and Souk Al Bahar is right across the boulevard. Not to mention, Dubai Mall is literally across the street which is incredibly convenient. Hope this helps! Happy hunting :)

So can you get these in Dubai as I heard that you couldn't. Yes, I got mine in Dubai! I found them at Al Manara Pharmacy (Souk Al Manzil Downtown) but I know they also have them at BinSina pharmacies :)

High Quality Car Rental in Al Manara Center off SZR is the cheapest & easiest! Take the metro (or taxi) to Noor Bank station and it's inside Al Manara Center. Very easy and prices are by far the best I've found in Dubai.
