I have loads of bags of DVDs, clothes, books and plastic garden chairs/tables as we are leaving Dubai in July. I would love to drop these off to you if that is easier? Please let me know what would work best ?

Hi, we are moving to Florida next year. I am currently a Special Needs Teacher in a British school and a British trained primary school teacher. I would be keen to get back to work when we move but have heard I would need further training to work in America?...is this correct and can anyone tell me more?! Thanks

I believe all external clubs at JAPS are organised through Gulf Star. There is a Soccer School on a Thursday but that's as much as I know. Google Gulf Star for further info

You can buy all sorts of excellent rollerblades at Decathlon, Mirdiff Mall. They have staff members there who will fit the correct size/style and allow you or your children to test them out in the shop. My girls were flying round the shop for half an hour!

Hello, I am looking for a good maintenance company, can anyone recommend with contact details if possible :) Thanks Hi, I'm not recommending, but I too am desperate for a good maintenance company recommendation. Our current company which is a well known one, seems to have seriously gone down hill and we have endless AC problems.

Yes, I did exactly the same. Called the number on the American Girl doll website and ordered and paid with my International card 10 minutes. Sent here via my American shop and ship address and the process was very fast.

Learning Support departments in most schools here also deal with emotional and behavioural issues in children, even if their academics are fine. All schools should have a planned way of supporting children with these sort of issues and there should be a member of staff who can advise you, no matter how new the school.

The girl on the train sounds interesting....Will you recommend this book to me? If yes, Is this a quick-read? Can I finish this off once I pick it up within a week, maybe? Yes, Girl on the Train was a quick read, easily finished within a few days, and I'm usually a slow reader!

The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins.....an edge of your seat thriller, right up there with Gone Girl. Into the Darkest Corner is also an excellent thriller if that's what you like.

Hi there, Springs is a lovely, Central location to live in Dubai, especially when you are new. There are lots of parks, shops and you will be within a fairly short driving distance of various mum and toddler groups. There's also a lot of new nurseries that have opened in that area. I'm not sure of the rental price there at the moment as we bought our house a couple of years ago, moving out to Arabian Ranches. Best of luck with the move. If you do settle in the Springs, there's lots of families out and about all the time and I'm sure you will find it to be a friendly and welcoming area!

My daughter's 9th birthday was at the Motorcity indoor kart drome with laser tag added in. She's a bit of a tomboy and loved it. This year she's having a small group at Jump Boxx, Mirdiff, which is similar to Bounce but a bit quieter.

I bought my Nespresso machine a year ago in Crate and Barrel and surprisingly, they had a sale on. I got it cheaper than my mum when she bought hers off Amazon in the UK! Plus they gave away a selection box of the capsules free! It's worth checking out.

Hairworks at Ibn Battuta is fantastic. I'd tried many different salons before them but wasn't completely happy. They're reliable and do a brilliant job of cutting and highlights!

My husband's whole procedure cost roughly Aed 12,000. That included all the preparation appointments etc. it's expensive but he didn't really have a choice. Frightening amount though! I don't know how much that price would vary at other clinics, but we were recommended to this particular one. Dr Steen comes highly recommended and is going to be extracting my impacted wisdom teeth next week.

Dr Steen at Dr Michael's Clinic, Al Wasl Road branch. My husband had the first stage of the tooth implant today. Brilliant, efficient dental practice. Different insurers cover different dental work, but an implant is often classed as a cosmetic procedure, so might not be covered. It's pretty expensive I'm afraid.

I'm afraid I also am one of the few who had a bad experience with the mirena coil. I persevered for 2 years but unfortunately it caused me repeated cysts on my ovaries and breasts. I also suffered far more severe premenstrual symptoms than previous. I had it removed a few months ago and the cysts are gone and periods far better.
