Hi I hope you maybe able to give some advice, we are a couple who are in their early 50's who have lived and worked in Dubai for the past 10 years, we have adult children who will be staying in Dubai, my husband has the opportunity to take up a new role in Qatar, we have a few questions .... are there any of you that have done the same move and are enjoying Qatar did any of you take your Dubai car over to Qatar and re register there? Do we need to have our marriage certificate attested and notarized for Qatar, (already done for UAE) we currently live in an apartment on the Palm in Dubai, is their comparable in Qatar, we would probably be looking for a furnished place this time round, or serviced apartment, any recommendations greatly received. We have been told to ask for a multi exit visa what is the difference, do we need his employers permission to exit the country every time we wish to travel, even for a weekend to see the kids in Dubai, I will be sponsored by my husband. I will be giving up my job here in Dubai if we come across, I am guessing it is not easy to find admin roles? is there anything we need to consider when making our decision? TIA :)

Yes I was thinking of that to, we and they have been to the top of the burj but not atmosphere, we have not been to burj al Arab though does anyone recommend it?

Yes been to Dubai before and done the usual stuff, it is also a special year for them too as they will have been married for 30 years this year and there is also a big birthday, So far we are going to Musendam for weekend, and one day in Abu Dhabi, probably go to the miracle garden and the fountains, Just want to do something for them that they would not perhaps do,

Fatexpatdxb I have just today started the Juicemaster detox, 5 day plan, I am looking at the recipes and its say Juice 1 and 4 then gives you a list of ingredients, my question is is the list of ingredients for both 1 and 4 or just for one juice at a time, appreciate you feed back and would be interested to know how much you have lost to date, Thank you

we are looking to fly direct to Phuket, you can get a ferry across from Phuket to Krabi i think, any ideas on where to stay in Phuket, not really Patong beach though as i have heard it can be pretty lively, thank you

Good Morning, hope you don't mind me picking your brains, DH and I are thinking of going to Thailand in October, or somewhere just as nice. we have previously visited Bangkok, Chang Mai and Chang Rai, so thought we would try the south but have no idea on where the best places to stay are, DH really needs a chill out place but with the option to explore if we wish to, one thing we do know is we DO NOT wish to party party, TIA

Hi All thank you for the replies, really looking forward to our trip, it is our first trip to Dublin despite having been to Ireland a number of times, I have booked our hotel now we are staying at the Crokes Park Hotel, (the Jury's was fully booked for our dates) 15 min walk into city by all the reviews I have read, and not one bad word said about the hotel, The ideas you have given are great, we will most certainly do the big bus tour as we are big bus tour fans, plus some of the other things you have suggested including the Guinness factory, we are spending around 10 days in Ireland, catching the train down to Killarney before hiring a car to drive to Kells (ring of Kerry) where we will be staying for a week, then onto Cork for a flight to the UK before coming back here. thanks again for idea and keep them coming if you have more, much appreciated,

Hi I live in Bld 5, 3rd floor, we have been here for nearly 1 year and have just signed for another year, we also have problems with the shower and was told there was nothing they could do about it so would love details on how to sort it, our LL is really lovely and any issues I have he sorts so no complaints there. I have a couple of nigglies though 1, the common areas are not cleaned as often as they should be, other buildings on palm a lot cleaner than ours, and 2, the pool is soooo cold why can they not heat it, and know what you mean about the Kitchen having no cupboards or work top space or come to that sockets! but we manage apart from that we really like living here so enjoy:) <em>edited by mwebster on 16/01/2011</em>
