Kimball that is very kind of you- how did you keep it in good condition? Mine is broken in pieces so the cutlery falls through. I'm not sure, it looks just like it did when we first bought it 4 years ago, the motor went on the actual washer but the trays were all intact.

Do you mean the square type cutlery holder or a proper rack? I have a new dishwasher being delivered today and can save you the old holder if it's any use.

By Any Means Just watched the first 2 episodes and can't wait for the 3rd. For those that watched Good Cop and Luther will be familiar with Warren Brown, he is just as good in this one as in them.

Season 2 of Top Boy on C4 finished last week, I wasn't expecting it to end so soon after only 4 episodes, it's a bit graphic but very good.

My ex husband is left handed also, now he writes upside down and back to front, very funny when it came to signing the wedding register, they'd never seen it before.

I am left handed and use normal stationary Is the reason he requires specialist left handed stuff? I am intreagued now :-) He's handwriting can be quite messy as he struggles to hold the pen, he used these in the uk and it improved remarkably, my daughter who is in her 20s now is also a leftie and also agreed she would have preferred these when at school.

Here's another great one, Yes I'll Marry You Yes, I’ll marry you, my dear. And here’s the reason why. So I can push you out of bed When the baby starts to cry. And if we hear a knocking And it’s creepy and it’s late, I hand you the torch you see, And you investigate. Yes I’ll marry you, my dear, You may not apprehend it, But when the tumble-drier goes It’s you that has to mend it. You have to face the neighbour Should our labrador attack him, And if a drunkard fondles me It’s you that has to whack him. Yes, I’ll marry you, You’re virile and you’re lean, My house is like a pigsty You can help to keep it clean. That sexy little dinner Which you served by candlelight, As I do chipolatas, You can cook it every night!!! It’s you who has to work the drill And put up curtain track, And when I’ve got PMT it’s you who gets the flak, I do see great advantages, But none of them for you, And so before you see the light, I DO, I DO, I DO!!

Ted Morgan at MC are good as you earn freebies each visit, I was a bit miffed though when I qualified for a free blow dry, but was told I couldn't use it when I next went for my cut & colour, only if I visit just for the blow dry!

When we first moved to Dubai almost 4 years ago, my DS started at GCS halfway through grade 3, he stayed there through grade 4 and then we made the decision to remove him. IMHO it was the best thing we could have done, I've heard so many bad things since moving him, and I think the KHDA report reflects this. I'm so glad that we moved him when we did, I would not want to be searching for a school now as it seems to be a nightmare for most newcomers.

Hi control freak The trousers are actually navy pinstriped and are the same I believe for both girls & boys. They are only allowed to wear the uniform purchased from Zak's so I hope you've taken out a 2nd mortgage lol, it costs a small fortune! Whereabouts will you be living? There is a Zaks opening in Motorcity, I think also one opened in Al Barsha and one in Jumeriah edited by kimball 65 on 18/06/2013

I've been going to Ted Morgan in MC since they opened and have always been pleased with my cut & colour, however last time I went I learnt that a few of the girls have left due to not being happy there, I'm hoping this doesn't affect future visits there as I was so pleased to finally have a local good salon.

Yesterday after school while playing in the park, DS lost his yellow swatch, long shot but if anyone's child happened to pick it up and would like to return it to its owner, then I'd be most grateful. He only told me after school today as he was scared of getting into trouble, it was a gift at Christmas so he's quite upset about it. Many thanks.

@ Kimball I just buy my favorite pickled onions and after you finish the onions, add rw onions to the left over liquid. It would be ready in two weeks or if you want to have fast results, pack the jar with onions and heat the left over liquid and add to the onions, Enjoy Good idea, thanks.

Just reading sky news and the evidence police have on that monster that killed her, what must that poor child have gone through? It truly is heartbreaking and I can only imagine what her poor family must be going through to learn how she actually died...

There are a few in the Family book but this year most only have 1 voucher (Latitude and Beachcombers at JBH, Al Muna at Mina A Salam, Nomad at Jumeirah Creekside, there are probably other too but I dont have the books with me to check) If you have registered your books you should receive the monthly newsletter with extra deals which you can print off. They work the same as the normal vouchers (maximum of 4 vouchers per 8 people) and every month they have included at least one brunch. It might be worth checking so you can use more vouchers. HTH Thanks yorky.

At the roundabout where Choitrams is on your right you go straight, next roundabout straight then follow the road, you'll see a sign to turn right onto the bypass rd, it's your third right. edited by starsouthern on 03/03/2013 You've lost me now, I don't think I've ever seen a Choitrams.

Can I go right at the first roundabout at the back of the school towards Dubai, or do I have to go left in the direction of Al Khawaneej and follow directions for the bypass rd from there, hope this makes sense. TIA.

When we booked one a couple of years ago we done it at the office there, can't remember what we had to show but it was probably ID card etc. I do remember though that they do get booked up way in advance so you have to be flexible with the days. We were quite pleased with the chalet, nothing special but has a fridge, shower & toilet with loo roll included, bbq was clean too.

I remember babysitting at the age of 10yrs looking after a newborn, I was always quite grown up for my age, also being off school poorly and being left alone as both parents were out at work, although I was told not to move off the sofa unless to go to the loo. I couldn't imagine leaving my DS alone and he's almost 10 yrs himself. I guess only the parent can answer the question of what age to leave them, and like someone said, would they know what to do in a emergency?

We to are in Reem 2 and my 9yr DS is always out down the park, it is very friendly here and it really doesn't seem to matter what age the children are, they just all get on. I too seem to have to ring him and tell him to get home, he's never ready to, it's always "please, can I just have another 5 mins"?

Bovril? Is a good alternative, sadly though I couldn't find anything that had beef flavour. I've never seen Bovril here, is it readily available? I've managed to buy chicken and beef bovril in Lulu, but not very often, I like it as a hot drink.
