Park N Shop (JLT) stocks some of the Aussie range which I quite like. I've seen the Tigi range in the hairdressers (behind mothercare) in Marina Mall Hope you can find something you like!

Hi Dubai Newbie, This was shared in one of the previous threads: http://hugzbabystore.com/uppababy-vista-travel-system-denny-red.html We've just bought one this weekend from Just kidding as we left it too late for the delivery (and they didn't have the colour we wanted in stock when we inquired) xx

Hi Meagle, Thanks for your comments. The doctor will be there for the delivery. I'm now 30weeks in and don't know if its too late to be looking for another doctor? If the doctor wouldn't be around for delivery then I wouldn't hesitate to change

Hi ladies, We're also pretty much sold on the Uppababy vista. Having seen the Quinny (which is what we were going to get first) and then the mamas &papas and Oyster prams we think this is the better option. It's ad great review on mumsnet and is at the top of their list http://www.mumsnet.com/reviews/pushchairs/travel-systems Sunglow, if you could post details of the Europe website, that would be fab!

I found some really nice pieces at destination maternity in midriff mall. I was lucky and they were have a sale during Ramadan so was able to get quite a few pieces (including skinny jeans from the Jessica Simpson range) for under 100aed. H&M in midriff mall and mall of emirates also had a maternity section which wasn't so bad for a few staple tunics

Hi Ladies, How are you all getting on? I'm just entering my 27th week and it seems as though the due date is just around the corner....eeeeek! With that said, we're now going to start our baby shopping and have been looking into prams. There are so many on the market and its quite difficult to make the decision. We were gearing towards the Quinny Buzz but yesterday read reviews that it wasn't suitable for small toddlers (i.e. from age of 1 onwards). So we've been looking at the Uppababy Vista now, although this is a little over the budget. We've seen the Mothercare and Mama's and Papa's ones and quite like these too. Has anyone bought or used either of these...any reviews would be really helpful! xx

I'd have to agree that Barnet and East Finchley are lovely areas. West Hampstead is also really nice. Moving out a bit further, Pinner, Hatch End, Bushey, Elstree, Borehamwood are lovely and close to the M1. Beaconsfield, Amersham and Chesham are lovely as well but a bit further from M1. Areas just outside the M25 are quite nice. The unfortunate thing is that property prices all around London and especially within M25 are really high, but the schools are good. The grammar schools in Watford are great and Amersham has good schools too. @busybee2 and Romeo - I love that you are from Kingsbury...Suddenly the world seems like a smaller place :) I was born in Kenton and lived just off Preston Road (parents still live there). Its changed dramatically over the years but its not as safe as it used to be (still safe enough to walk home alone from the tube station at midnight) xx

I'm going to be using Medcare. It was recommended to me and I've been happy with it so far. I particularly like it as its closer than the hospitals in City My obgyn is Dr Sharda and she's been good so far Good luck in your decision!

Hi Lleucu, Thanks for that!! I have also decided to go with Cecille for the classes. They seemed nicely organised and I liked that she would come for a visit after the birth to check I was doing things correctly :) we're doing all the classes and will start in September. Might catch you there :) For the prenatal Pilates, I decided to go with the classes at Exhale at JBR (Murjan cluster). Although we've had a few different instructors over the last few weeks, I'm enjoying the variety that each one of them brings. Xx

Hi Irooni We've just come back from a few days in NY We found that the only way to see the whole city was with the hop-on hop-off bus tours. We took a 2 day pass and you can use them in the evenings as well. There are lots of companies that do them and they all start at Times Square. The tour we did was with one of the older companies (like the Big Red Bus Tour) and they were great as they had a higher frequency of buses that came. We tried to go to the Statue of Liberty, but it was still closed so they were only offering boats tours around the island but I've just read that they reopened the statue on the 4th July so that is definitely worth going to. You can go up the towers such as Empire State and Rockerfella (I was told Rockerfella is better as its not as crowded as Empire State) We also got off the bus at Harlem and went to Sylvias Restaurant. It's a very popular soul food place. Would recommend the ribs! Tried the yam as a side dish and loved it! Theres also another restaurant called Red Lobster on the same road which was also recommended. Both have outdoor seating, but be careful if the sun is out...I got quite burnt! Its worth taking a stroll through Central Park. There is a boat hire area which has a lovely indoor/outdoor bar as well. We wanted to enjoy the food while we were there also so ate at Bubba Gumps in Times Square (the menu is 90% prawns), the corned beef open sandwiches at Carnegie Deli are a speciality and are definitely worth a try...although one sandwich could probably feed you and the kids! We found a diner for a breakfast of berry pancakes and waffles Unfortunately the games season ended just before we got there, but I did see a sign that they were having a special basketball or baseball game during mid-July so you kids might enjoy that One thing I would recommend is not going to (or getting off the bus at) China Town/Little Italy as there really isn't anything to see there.. Ive just realised how big this reply has come, so i'll stop here...hehe! Whatever you do, I'm sure you'll really enjoy the time there!!! xx

Hi Ladies! Hope you're all OK and staying away from when possible! It felt like the oven door was just constantly open in my face yesterday I think I felt the baby move for the first time last night...either that or it was gas...hehe! But it felt like little bubbles. Anyone else starting to feel any movements? Just entering the 19th Week and the bump is suddenly bigger. I've read that the baby doubles in size over the next 6 weeks I've been having a look at starting either Antenatal Yoga or Pilates but not sure which one to go for. I think there are yoga classes in Media City and Pilates at Exhale in JBR (or maybe its the other way round!). I only want to do one as I've read that they are quite similar. Does anyone have any suggestions on which to go for or have you already started going to classes that you can recommend? I've also been trying to look into antenatal classes but not having much luck there. I contacted Cooper Clinic but they do a one full day session with the next available class in October. I'm not too keen on that as its a lot of information for me to absorb in one day. I've heard that Healthbay PolyClinic do classes but don't have any information on that. xx

Hi BBMover, Try Carrefour (upstairs). Its just opposite the Westin and walking distance from you. I think we bought some a while back to glue a tiny cut in the mattress fabric

HI Ladies! I'm a little late in posting in here...just so much going on in the last 4-6 weeks that I've not had time to log -on! So, like a few of you, i'm also due on the 4th Dec :) Looks like its a popular date! Is anyone at Medcare? I've been going there for my appointments so far but would love to hear anyone else's opinions of the doctors there. My normal clothes are now getting to the extremely snug point so I definitely need to start looking in getting maternity wear. I'll have a look at Max stores (thanks Lleucu!). Does anyone know of any other stores which do nice clothes but are not overly priced? We've also started looking into antenatal classes. There are a few out there so luckily we have some time to make a decision. Does anyone have any recommendations? It would be great to meet you all...but I also work full time so only have weekends and evenings. Is anyone going to the coffee morning at Dubai Mall on Saturday? xx

Hi Ladies, I need a bit of advice with travel insurance cover that includes pregnancy cover. We are travelling to the USA this week and we're looking at travel insurance with Zurich but this will not include pregnancy cover in the insurance as it was pre-existing to taking out the cover. Does anyone know of any insurance cover that I can take for my trip. I'm only going for 10 days TIA

As a quick first appointment, we went to see Dr Sharda at Medcare hospital in Safa Park. Although I was happy with her, she has booked another appointment just 2 weeks later...is this normal? The doc said that she needs to do a Downs screening before 12 weeks (at the appointment, I'll only be 10weeks and 6days) so I feel I may be a little early for it. Everywhere I've read said that the screening should be between 12 and 14 weeks so I'm a bit confused at the moment. How regularly are your appointments and have you discussed the screening? Confused!

Hi atrain, We're currently living in Princess Tower and are enjoying it. The facilities are good and the building is still within its settling in period so little faults are constantly being fixed. Although this is our first year in dubai and we haven't experienced any of the other towers in the marina, I would recommend it. The only downsides are the construction noise and road traffic that you can hear in the evenings. Also, if you have a large vehicle, I would make sure you are comfortable with using the basement car park as the ramps are quite tight to manoeuvre and car park spots can also be tight. The best part of it is that no one will have lived in the apartment before you so everything is new. Hope this helps...

I've been told that if you spill red wine on your sofa, pour some white wine on it and it immediately gets rid of it. I'm not sure if this works on an older stain.

Hi Airfix, we met with a guy called Dan from Property World Dubai. He was really nice and gave us great advice when we were looking for an apartment to rent. He was always very polite and made sure he showed us places that were what we were after. I'd recommend him in an instant.

We've stayed at the Amari Coral Beach in Phuket and really enjoyed it. The buffets were delicious. It's at the end of the beach walkway so a little out of the way from bars and clubs but its only a 10min walk from them and the shop stalls.

I'd have to agree with Ayzzy. My mum has had a Kenwood for over 30 years and now my sister is using it. It's never had any breakdowns.
