Hello ladies, my maid is going for a months vacation. I know legally we have to pay for their air ticket, but what about salary... You require to pay a months salary, yes? I am a little confused, as I have heard you do pay a months salary plus a months holiday pay as well as the air ticket. Please advise. Many thanks :thinking:

Helllo ladies, I invested in a Health Card for my maid last year from the Iranian Hospital, its due for renewal, anyone know how this is done? Went to the Thursday early show on the 2nd. I love MJ music and after hearing so much about CDS, was really looking forward to it, booked our tickets months ago! I thought it was awful, was so, so, so disappointed! Was so pleased when the interval was announced, chance to escape! Needless to say we didn't go back for second half!! Everything Kaz1 said, ditto! Yer, what was the guy in the white sparkly suit all about!

Went last night, had VIP tickets, seats very pretty good. During the interval, had to queue for about 25 mins to be served warm wine and beer, VIP, defo was not worth paying for, was a joke! As for the show, was actually quite disappointed! Didn't think his joke's were that funny. Sorry to say, seen better...

I need to renew my Emirates ID Card, been advised to go to the Emirates Identity authority in Al Barsha. Does anyone know 100% if this can be done at The Emirates ID office located in Building 12 at Knowledge Village as this is nearer to me? Thanks

I also know friends who go to Dr Tahir, no problems. Generally he's very good, but I had some fillers done and I am not that happy about them either. Thankfully they are not that bad! Has anyone actually had their 'filers' disolved? Any one been to Doc Danny Kayle in Health Care City for Botox? What do you think?

Hello Pinkdolly, my friend and I sayed at The Banya Tree Resort itself, which was excellent! We didnt realise the Beach Resort was so far away from the actual Resort itself, was a good 30 minute drive!! They did have a shuttle bus to take you to the 'pier' followed by a charming boat ride, which took approx 5 minute to the Beach Resort, which was a nice touch. Whilst there, we asked to see one of the rooms, which were very nice, as they were right on the beach. There is a great infinity pool, but only one restaurant to have lunch in, THATS IT!! Personally I would suggest staying at the Resort itself, all rooms have their own pool anyway, you also have a selection of Restaurants and Bars and the Spa was amazing, especially the Rainforest Experience! You can always go to the Beach Resort for a day, which is what we did. I will defo go again, this time with my Hubby!! My Hubby and I went to Al Maha Desert Resort about 18 months ago, which was a lot more expenive, rooms were lovely, but personally I thougth The Banya Tree was better, more Restaurants and Bars...Spa was better too. Hope this helps. :)

Hello again, I have another question to ask regarding 'Renewal of my UK' Passport Can someone help please ... On the C1 Form, section 9 it states in 'Bold, Block Capitals' - 'This section must be completed by the Countersignatory' but on the 'Webiste' - http://ukinuae.fco.gov.uk/en/help-for-british-nationals/passports/ The section 'Steps to Renew Your Adult Passport (for applicants over 16)' scroll down a little is clearly states the following: 'Countersignature of the form and photographs is not necessary for those people over 16 renewing a passport, unless your appearance has changed significantly since your previous passport was issued'. My appearance has not changed that much (few more wrinkles!!), so this means to me, I will not need to get anything 'Countersigned'... But, on the C1 Form its says very clearly you need to get it Coutersigned as well as your photos and on the website says differnt.... Has anyone renewed their Passport lately and could advise what I should do, before I call them? I am very confused and obviously want to send all the correct paperwork! Many thanks.

Hello ladies, I went last week for my Medical for my Visa. I went to Al Safa Community Health Centre, here is the link: http://www.visaprocess.ae/details.php?page=medical_service I went to th 'VIP section' and was seen very quickly (the Typing centre was there too). Cost me 760 AED, got there about 8.30am, was done by 8.50am! They send you a text to let you know when you blood sample is back - its within 4 hours. I went back at 1pm to collect! Was not stressful, which I was worried about, thats why I went here, as it offered the 'VIP' service! You do feel like 'cattle', one in, one out, but they were very organied. The room where they did the blood test was small and there were people waiting there, but there was a 'curtain' around the area where the nurse actaully took your blood. They were very gentle, only had a tiny bruise.

Forgot to say, when my cat went missing, I put photos of him in the Choitrams, both vets, all the 'pool gym' areas, emailed feline friends and the Municipality! I assume he's chipped and got a collar?

Hi Kristina, did you find your dog yet? Which part of the GC do you live in, East or West and what gate? I am in the East (original GC) West gate, Magnolia Lane, will keep a look out for him! One of my cats went missing for 10 nights 2 years ago, thought we had lost him, came back, screaming (hes a very vocal cat!!) starving and dirty! God knows where he had been! Think he must have got locked in someones garage and lost his way home!! I was out every night in my car, looking for him, was so happy to have him home, so hang in there!! Sure he will come home soon.;)

I have been to the Outlet Mall a few times, its 'hit and miss' really! I have bought some real bargins at a shop called 'Priceless' (near to The One). The shoe Outlet called Opera is quite good, also a shop, I think called 'Allied' (yellow and black sign) opposite Diesel, is quite good too.
