I know it's crazy! Will be interested to hear what they tell you that's for sure Redlesley! I just spoke to the school too and they told me not to accept the PE tops without the logo. My little one is starting fs1 too and I feel so unorganised now for him even though I had his uniform on order since 18th July!

Well I think my story is going to make matters worse.....I was told that my order was ready for collection so 5.30 this afternoon I went to collect it. I lookedmin the bag and instead if seeing the purple strips I saw yellow stripes on the shirts! I said this isn't Safa colours and he tried to assure me that it was and that the school had changed colours! I told him not to lie and that he had stuffed up my order, he was still telling me that safa's uniform was not yellow which I think is Horizon? I told him to show me the orders that had arrived in for Horizon and sure enough they were all in Safa colours with the horizon logo! So to be honest I think they have a major problem as he said all the stock will be arriving tonight and all Safa uniforms are in yellow and horizon in purple! To be honest I've nearly given up on the whole thing! Also I ordered the PE polo shirts that are now plain White and no logo? I will call the school in the morning to check if this is correct, the Manager 'assured' me the school wants no logo on the PE shirts. Aaaaarrrrrgggghhhhhhhhh!

Thanks girls for the replies. Clairehdp I always value your opinion and this is what I have: I can have The Ivy but only at 7.00pm and can only have the table until 9.00pm...I'm kind of thinking this maybe too rushed but they said we can move into the lounge area for drinks otherwise the other choice is Teatro's?? AAArrrghhhhhh I can't decide!

To be honest we eat everything - feel like we've down all the fountains restaurants and the Madinat too. I haven't been into The Fairmont yet so maybe there?

I do NOT recommend the Yas Hotel for kids, the pool area is too small and dangerous - you have to walk up about 30 steep, potentially slippery steps just to reach it - just imagine with little kiddies :( You must be talking about the adult pool maybe! We were there a couple of weeks ago and the pool we were at had loads of kids in the pool as the pool started off very shallow then gently sloped down deeper - no steps! And you took the lift up as it's on the roof top over looking the marina - was lovely! And their was a kids party in the pool so I think yebo must have been at the other pool.

I would head for Dreamland as I think it is better for 2 year old's and will be more relaxing for you! You can get lunch there but I always put in a few snacks and put them in the bottom of the bag - you will be fine.

It seems complicated but it's really easy - fill the form out and take it DHL at Mall of Emirates - they were great. We got our DS back in 16 days. A lot more efficient than if we were in the UK!

OK hearing lots of conflicting stories about the weather in July/August. Is this a good place to go during these months or better to stay away.....keep getting told that the beaches close etc as the sea gets very rough. Don't mind the shower of rain but if it rains all day everyday then no good! Please advise - Ta x And Thailand I'm meaning Phuket/Sumai or suchlike

Thanks simpleasabc I had looked at previous threads and when looked at the accommodation it wasn't what we were looking for with the kids but beautiful if it was just DH & I! Wondered if anyone had been to any islands and found amazing family holiday resort/accommodation.

We are trying to sort out what we are going to do in the summer and DH and I have both decided we don't want a long flight with the kids so now thinking Greece! Love Greece but only been there when I was a young, single girl island hopping in between hangovers so now I don't know where to go as a family! Open to ideas if anyone can recommend a family resort on the beach that will keep the kids entertained for a few weeks! Ta x

Do you have young children? I have one but am loathed to recommend to a family who wants her to be a nanny. Oh dear!! No don't want a nanny but would like somebody that is good with children as I have 2 little ones!! Nope sorry, i wouldn't be happy saying she'd be ok, hope you find someone great.
