The nearest station is Al Jadaf, which is the last stop there, and its used by all the workers that work in the drydock in Jadaf, im not sure about the bus, but 100% sure i wouldnt want to be standing in Jadaf waiting for a bus, Hubby works there and he wouldnt let me even get out of the car when im with him!!

The same goes for people that keep on asking why do we bother taking aggressive / problematic dogs out of DM and spend months trying to train them, make them trust people again, the pound just puts them down, why not just save all the trouble and leave them there? The answer is in all the beautiful dogs that are now happily living with the families here. ;) Thank you SA1978 i fully agree with you.

I just got a new "guest" 4 week old that was found under a jeep in Al Khail gate, was he suppose to be left there? He will also be looking for a home in 4 weeks time!! great work kyliejoy437, 2 weeks ago the count in my house was 7 cats, now we are down to 5 :)

sorry not interested, as there are chances like this about 5 times a day, the more cats and dogs you foster, the bigger the problem gets, meaning more new kittens and puppies requiring even more foster parents... anyways, I am only posting to let you know there is a pet section on EW that you may be interested to check out Whats gotten into you?

It's called Central Building. Tried google but no luck. Why not call the Subway or E-Mart and ask them? Want the numbers? I know Subway there is shut down...Do you have the E-mart num? if not i have to wake up DH to look for it! :)

There is a small mall close too the mosque in Mirdiff, (City center side) its got Subway in it, a dental clinic, a supermarket, some frame shop, flowers shop and a Hair Saloon, anybody can help with the name of the mall? or The saloon? Need to book an appointment for tonight and i have lost their card! :(

Glad to hear Mickey is getting better. I was a bit disappointed in the article though, I felt it didn't really highlight the seriousness of this attack. :( Me too! it just described the story, and as if its something ok! :(

Just remember NOT to let the car go anywhere until you have the cash for it and that includes waiting for cheques to clear. Don't take anyone's 'word' for a sale. A serious buyer would also put a deposit on it. We are actually hopping to get a deposit to clear all the registration cancellation things, really have no idea how much that will cost, we never sold a car before.

Spaying your cat makes good sense. Not only may it help her live longer, but it will prevent unwanted litters of kittens. There is always a risk whenever an animal undergoes anesthesia and surgery. Her veterinarian would be the best one to determine if your cat is healthy and a good surgical candidate.

The male cat might be bothering the female cat, jump on her, try to be naughty etc.. I have 2 males and 2 females in the house, when the last male got a little bigger he started being naughty with my 2 females, so i had to neuter him!

As this is such a gut wrenching, sickening story, I would like to point out one amazing thing. Believers or not, God allowed Mickey to survive, to make it back home, gave the surgeon the skills to save him I think all in order to show what it really happening out there. To be able to photograph Mickey, and thereby legitimizing the attack for police and public alike to witness, should no doubt alert everyone about such brutal behavior in our neighborhoods. As the post title describes - WARNING! Thanks to Mickey, he has probably saved many cats as their owners may now be more aware of the dangers (I had no clue this existed) and perhaps keep them in doors to spare their lives. Thanks Mickey - we are praying for you! LOVE IT!! So TRUE!!

maybe a bit of crass question - but are the family OK with the vet bills? Am sure that this is going to come into the thousands.... do they need help with them? I did ask the same question, luckily the lady is a very hard working volunteer of Feline Friends, so they are helping too. The operation is over!! He was in for 4 hrs!! 11 bullets were taken out 1 was left as it is lodged between his diaphragm and liver, couldn't be taken out without causing loads more blood loss and 4 hrs was long enough, 3 were in his skull, 1 behind his eye, the vet said they literally held him down and tried to blow his brains out, 2 were in his pelvis close to the nerves in the spinal cord. Pray for the little guy to survive.
