They have 3-month , 6-month and 1 year subscriptions. I signed up for the 3-month... cost me AED150 in total. Wish they'd have a monthly subscription option as well..... :|

Yah well it is. But it's not a constant... and I'm saying this from my Birchbox experience...Don't know how Glambox is going to turn out to be... The January Birchbox gave out full sized Stila Smudgesticks this month :D So, you never know!

Bigger than the kind of samples you'd get at Sephora. Enough for you to try the product for a while so you know if it works for you or not. I'd say about 10ml average..

Oh..It's like the Birchbox in the US. They send you goodies every month =) Basically, 4-5 deluxe sized samples of branded products (make-up / skin care, etc) And it's a surprise each time!! Ofcourse, It's relevant to the customer cuz the samples are picked based on your profile. www.glambox.me

Dubai Public Libraries used to offer free Arabic Classes for expats a few years ago. You could check with them and see if it's still offered.

There's one at the Dubai Mall MAC counter.. She's great! I can never seem to remember her first name but she doesn't mind being called 'Eli'.. (pronounced as EL Lee). She's Iranian I think. Knows what shes doing. I've finally found the right foundation shade for myself - Thanks to her. Definitely recommend her. edited by Lady_SilverX on 03/01/2012

There is no cure for large pores. You can only mask them with make up. Pore minimizing lotions and potions are money making gadgets. Any good and honest dermatologist will tell you this. True..

i've been for drinks - it's a very stylish place. sat at the bar and watched the world go by. the menu looked amazing - but be warned - very pricey. don't know anyone that's eaten there as yet. Let me know if someone does dine-in there :) Thanks!

You don't have to go with someone else. You can always go back later (a second time) to avail the free service. They usually make a note on your voucher / your account on their system.

I have a friend who ended up with a grazed cornea (lucky not ot go blind) after the treatment where they sandblast your face (dermabrasion, microbrasion whatever its called??), her birthday party was that night and she spent it in hospital instead. Maybe just get your hair and makeup done and a relaxing full body massage to make you feel ten years younger?? Microdermabrasion is performed by blasting air containing tiny crystals that exfoliate your skin. Being really tiny, there is a risk of these crystals remaining embedded within the skin, etc. The Diamond Microdermabrasion (DMD) gives the same results (smooth clean radiant skin) without that risk. It uses a diamond tipped pen which is rubbed across the face in order to exfoliate. So its pretty safe. In my experience though, I feel its (DMD) way overpriced for what the results are. But then again I am still in my 20s.

I hate that they don't give samples here. Back home you got samples with every purchase. Actually they do... you just have to ask =) I always get samples with my Lush purchases... sometimes if I want to try something new, they give me a small sample even without any other purchase.

I've heard adding garlic to clear nail polish and applying it normally helps strengthen nails. You need to leave the garlic in the polish for a week before you use it. I haven't tried it personally but I know people who swear by it... Apparently, applying a layer of normal nail polish on top of the garlic one helps get rid of the smell..

I asked the same question to the Lumenis Sales Director in the Middle East a while ago, and he told me that the LightSheer Duet is a Diode laser system. So they are both the same.

Thanks so much Lady_Silver. I'll put that on my shopping list! To get rid of any build-up, try the Boots Sun, Swim & Gym Shampoo. http://www.boots.com/en/Boots-Sun-Swim-Gym-Shampoo-Normal-Dry-250ml_16309/ That should fix it. You are most welcome :) Hope it helps!

I haven't tried Kiehls - heard its good... but I have tried the rest. I would not consider L'occitane completely organic. I love their products..but organic? No! NYR are pretty organic. Their products are really good. They even mention the percentage of organic items in the product so that will give you a good idea about the ratio of preservatives. LUSH products are by far the most natural I have tried. They sell their products in solid state. This is done in order to reduce the amount of preservatives that would otherwise be needed (any thing that has water in it WILL get spoilt eventually). You should try their solid shampoo for itchy scalps : http://www.lushusa.com/shop/products/hair/solid-shampoos/soak-and-float

It is similar to Gelish, but applied slightly thicker. Also its removed by buffing the nails (instead of soaking,as in gelish). I believe Biosculpture lasts longer..

Hi Chocso Like others have said, do go back and ask them for a complete refund. As for your hair, I did some reading and found something that might be useful. http://www.verticalsinhair.com/index.php?option=com_joobb&view=topic&topic=3948&Itemid=90 It tells you why you are experiencing the damage and what you can do about it. Good luck and I hope your hair gets back to normal soon..!

All you need is Retin-A :) You get it at all pharmacies and is really cheap. Do a patch test though before using it.
