Do you have kids? Can you book a flight back home and just leave or are you in love with him that you can't leave? There are two ways to this, straight forward: 1- you either suck it up and live with it as he will never change. try to cope and manage your life around his anger and waiting for him to snap at you. Not knowing if he will just shout or whether he will become physical as well. spend years with him, have his kids to then to try to protect your kids from him. Because i assume (and hope) that you will not endure this behaviour with your kids. then you grow old, kids grow old, and life goes on! unhappy, anxious and possibly damaging! 2- leave! sleep on it, plan your way out, weigh your options and pack your things and leave. Life is too short, he will NEVER change, and believe me it WILL get worse. Men never change, and if you have kept silent before, then this means that he will always expect you to be silent! if you decide to fight back, argue or take a stand, he won't like it and things will get worse. At the end, its your life, your call and your decision. We don't know if you have other options, if you can involve your family, whether you can support your self or not. BUT, at any rate, his behavior is not acceptable, and it will not be easier with time. Good luck with what ever you decide to do <em>edited by lamaaz on 23/10/2012</em>

Ir doesn't hurt, and that's what got me worried. I saw my dentist and she said its probably nothing...I am not comfortable with the "probably" notion I will see a GP , but i was hoping some one would know a Dr specifically for such cases

So putting it in an ad that certain nationals cannot apply isn't racist but not putting it in and telling you the reason why you were not sucessful is? I am confused Companies restrict some nationalities due to travel and visa restrictions, it has nothing to do with racism and that's why they mention it in their ads but not to mention that restriction in the ad, qualify a candidate, and then not hire them because they are not of a certain nationality ....that's racism

I am sorry, but you are not offered this job because of your nationality, should be considered base for a lawsuit if possible! We're not in America! These don't apply here, they do what they want and that's that! That's the way it works here and always has done really. Well, I know of cases which the employer was punished for less than that..so you never know until you try and complain

Try to get it in writing and take that copy to the Ministry of Labour ... What could they do if there's no law against discrimatory ads? But why would someone take it to the Ministry of Labour? Who says that we cannot hire who we want and of a particular nationality? This is our right, as long as one is not being rude when they do so. Do you think that "Fair & Lovely" would hire a black woman as a receptionist? Get over it. If its not mentioned as a requirement in the ad, that only these nationalities to apply, then no, they have no right! Many Qatari companies, if not all, have a list of nationalities which are not allowed to apply for that particular job/company. That saves the time and the effort of any candidate who wants to apply But if the company withholds this information and does not reveal it in the job ad, it is most likely because they are legally not allowed to do so, discriminate based on nationality! so to make an applicant apply, put in time and effort, emotionally be prepared to be considered when the recruiter tells you that you are perfect/fit/considered for the job, and then to be told, I am sorry, but you are not offered this job because of your nationality, should be considered base for a lawsuit if possible!

I am not there yet, my kids are still young..but my advise, change schools. She will be forced to meet new ppl and hopefully change her friends, and you will end up paying less! Not that I don't advise you to invest in your DD, but If she gets her act together (hope she will), you can save that money for her college education. Hope things work out for you :)

If you go to Al Bateel shops, you will find GOURMET PRODUCTS AND FINE FOODS section. In there, you can choose any of these gifts (I would be very happy if i recieved any for Ramadan as a gift from one of my clients :)): - Sparkling date drinks (nice long bottles with nice rippons) - Oil and Vineger sets (all dates flavoured) - Honey/Dips/Preserves (also dates flavoured) It's something different from the normal dates/Chocolates gift check out thier website http://bateel.com/02_04_02_finefood_savouries.html hope this helped

She could have put it between prayers and has the intention of removing it before the next prayer! or as some of the ladies said, she might have her period! IT'S NOT HIS PROBLEM!!! He should worry about BIGGER things in life, Kids are being slaughtered in Syria! Let him organize a campaign to help the hunger and poverty in Yemen instead of spending his time in malls looking at women! Even if its his "Job" to wonder around malls, its limited to advice and only advice! not stalk women and gaze into their faces and hands,!!

Thank you ladies, Qatar is not easy as they don't grant visa'a to Jordanians! Its not that easy and you will have to get approvals left and right, so companies opt for other nationalities than Jordanians.. I will ask my DH to check Charterhouse again, although i am 100% sure he did... Back home is not much of an option as Jordan is suffering from bad job market for quite some time now. I hope things will move fast and he can get something in these coming few weeks :(

this might sound silly, but can't you order from M&S or Debenhams and have it delivered to your US S&S account (this way you save on the VAT), and then have it delivered thru back to Dubai! So, Debenhams to US S&S address to Dubai! Don't shoot me :) just a thought LOL

I had this issue for a year now, and i swear i have lost more than half of my hair :( I have just recently started using hair vitamins from boots, Its for hair only (biotin (sp?) and B complex) and since then, its getting a bit better. you will need to see a Dr if its excessive though I am also using Mane n Tail shampoo and conditioner from Spinneys for quite some time, so I am waiting for the results to kick in now LOL good luck, I know how frustrating that can be, so try these things, eat healthy and stay away from stress!

If you are just going for Shisha, then the best shisha in dubai is Tche Tche. They have branches in JBR and Burj Down town. If you want the experience, then you will have to compromise on the quality of the shisha and leave it to your luck. In Dubai mall, loads of places, Lemon tree, Wafi Gourme (sp??), Loius, Cafe La blanc, Al hallab restaurent...

Haddoota Masrreya is in the family entertainer. I adore the real Egyptian food as i was living in Cairo before we moved to UAE. @lamaaz Could you guide me how to go there? I saw the location map but i'm not familiar with the Safa Area. Its literally next to Safa Park exit. If you are coming from Dubai to Abu Dhabi, immediately after you cross the Safa Park bridge, keep to your right on Shiek Zayed Raod, and take the first service raod you see. you will see it on your right hand side Enjoy :)

You can also try Little Wings International Nursery. They are open from 7.30am to 6.30am I believe. When my maid went back for her holiday last year, I put my DD there. They charged me AED15 an hour as she only stayed at the nursery after school hours. I think many nursery follow school terms. When it's school break, they will do "camp" time. DD's old nursery used to charge about AED200 to AED250 per day during this camp period. I don't know what happened to Little Wing's website but you could try calling and visit them. I think they are okay for temporary basis. http://www.dubaifaqs.com/little-wings-nursery-dubai.php thx, will try them tom :)

similar case happened with me , but with THEone. Make enough noise, demand you speak to the manager and his/her manager. Ask for the owner's name and number and threaten to call municipality and department of development and commerce believe me, that will get you somewhere with these ppl!
