thanks - the charity is registered in the USA, but has not done much over here & has no office here. I want sponsors to be able to write cheques to the charity rather than an individual. Nels - is it that we will need to get one of these local chariteis to "sub" support it so they can forward the proceeds on? thanks

Is it possible to open a bank acc in a charity name? Looking at holding an event & would prefer any cheques / cash to be paid into a separate account for it? Or does it need to be set up as a business with a licence? Any advise greatly appreciated

Is there an email / contact for the "English" section or simply a tel / email address to make an appointment. The DED website is not clear on where to do this. I am just about to set up in free zone & need to know more info in this as don't want to end up paying out twice for a licence! Also anyone know costs involved with a local agent?

Thanks Sizzles. Its a minefield of info out there. When you say you can't operate in Dubai, does that mean that you can't do business with companies based in Dubai without a licence for the City? Or just that you cannot be physically based in Dubai? thanks again

The Meydan is nice too, smart location. Separate kids area with bouncy castle, face painting , clown & craft area. Plus separate food section for the kids as well. We went last week & mine had a ball! Lovely to sit outside this time as year too with smart view of the lush race course

Hi got a friend over on business tomorrow & only here for the night - never been to Dubai - can you advise a good restaurant with a great view of the Burj al Arab or Burg Khalifa. Tried Meat & Co at Madinat but can't get a seat outside tomorrow. Need a bit of a wow factor - but not too expensive restaurant. thanks

I had one on my right hand on & off for years? I then had it drained in the uk & has not returned for years. Banging is an old wives tale, hit it slightly incorrectly & you will cause a lot of damage & also pain. Stay clear of that action.
