A friend of mine posted an article about it and when i googled it i found a whole load of info regarding it and how its not safe. Apparently its not sold anymore in the US and Australia want to ban it too because of safety concerns. Same as Diane 35/diannette. Its been banned in a few countries. But i read an article on The National (i think it was) that is banned in a few countries so why is UAE still selling it??? And moreover, why are we able to just buy over the counter so easily without a doctors prescription. Just a bit concerning I was only 2 days away from my 7 day break anyway, so i'm sure stopping 2 days early wont be a big problem. Just want to find a new pill asap so i can start it on the first day of my cycle again

Hi Ladies, Just need some advice on the pill. I've been on yasmin for a few years but have recently heard that it is not safe and is being banned in a few countries due to blood clots, deaths etc. So of course, stopped taking it straight away as was a bit freaked out. I've been searching on the internet now for another pill to take but cant seem to find something that sounds good. I've just been into the pharmacy and they told me Cilest was discontinued ( i had actually decided on this one) I was also thinking to maybe try marvelon but have also read of some bad side effects so i'm a bit stuck now on which one to try. can anyone reccommend a good pill that is available here in Dubai? TIA :)

i know he goes to gym at least twice a week if he can. Sometimes he's travelling so he'll miss weeks where he doesnt go. I dont think he does anything intense for exercise! :)

I havent used her myself but my boss has been using her for a while and he's lost tons of weight. And because of how much weight he has lost, a load of colleauges have also started to see her. Im not 100% sure how it works, but i know they do a blood test first. And then from the blood test i think she tells you what foods you should and should not eat to suite your body type. It sounds quite pricey but it seems to work.

Hi Ladies, just came across this old post about Lakepoint Tower in JLT and wondered if anyone still living there is still facing the issues listed on the posts below? This morning when i opened the cupboard under my kitchen sink i found 3 cockroaches running around and 1 dead one! Eeeew. I hope they are not in the food cupboards too! the garbage chute absolutely reaks, dread going in there! The lifts are ridiculously slow, i take the 8 flights of stairs every morning so im not late! and the windows you can barely see out of them. I dont think they've been cleaned since before the original post on here in Aug 2012 and someone then said they hadnt been washed for a year and half. So who knows how long its been. Maybe they're hoping the rain we have once a year will do the job ;-P

I moved into a 1 bed in motor city at begining of 2012 and the rent was 45k. Then the beginning of 2013 the LL wanted to put it up to 52k but we eventually agreed on 50k. Now i've moved out as the LL asked me to vacate the premises. He only gave me 6 months notice but i didnt argue as i actually wanted to move from the area. He said he wanted to move in with his wife but i dont really believe it as ive seen the rent prices in motor city are now between 65k and 72k for a one bedroom and he knew he probably couldnt get that out of me!

I agree, please don't buy a puppy. Too many homeless dogs/puppies in this country. We adopted our dog from K9 when she was around 1 years old and she is the best dog we've had. And we've had pedigree Labradors and golden retrievers before and she has by far the best character out of all of them. If you go to the K9 facebook page you will see loads of puppies up for adoption

I spoke to the guy who gave me the cheque but he was showing me on their system that there was a zero under my payments for that period. Which i know isn't correct. I don't know if their system just didnt update or they're trying to pull a fast one & make a quick buck! there was a period where their systems were down for a couple of months so maybe it lost that info (conveniently) anyway he didn't seem willing to investigate so thought I'll do it myself. Have to go into the bank to pay for a statement from that period so i can check my credit card payments as its not available online anymore. Another headache I'm sure! thanks for you reply :)

We did Bonnington Brunch on Friday at The Cavendish Restaurant. And although there was a buffet, the buffet was only for salads, desserts, cheese and a few other starters. Then they had a live pasta cooking station and then the mains were all to order off a menu. I had the lamb and it was very nice. They have a kids play area too and there were loads of kids in there. They have a normal beverage option and then a sparkling wine option. And if i remember correctly, under 12's were free. But double check that.

Im pretty sure my company will give us the day in lieu anyway as they are generous like that & have already announced closed on sunday, but sux that hubby will be at work as his company is not so generous. Just wondering though, why does it only mention Private sector holiday changed??? Will be unfair if govt. is off on Sunday!

I was there on Friday, also used my voucher from dealgobbler. Was great fun and not as full as i was expecting it to be considering the amount of vouchers sold. I wore my bikini but with board shorts and i saw quite a few others in bikini's too. However, they dont have a license anymore. Last time i went they did but apparently they didnt renew it this year. So the bar has now turned into a juice bar! The coral reef pool isnt that great as they took the fish out as people complained they were being bitten. So now its just a salt water pool with fake turtles, dolphins etc at the bottom! Probably more for kids now. But everything else was great. Food was good too and cheap!

I had gelish and gel for a while and my nails became so paper thin i could bend them back. Then i read about Biotin supplements on the internet. Got some at Boots Pharmacy, wasnt too expensive. Been taking 2 tablets a day for a couple of months now and my nails are rock hard again! Also found it keeps my skin nice and clear too! :-) Love gelish but my only issue is i find after a week it chips & its very noticeable if you have a dark colour which i prefer. Dunno if thats just me???? Maybe using my fingers as tools too much ;-)

I saw Dr. David at Nicholas & Asp for 2 of my wisdoms to be surgically removed and he did a good job. I also saw another dentist for an easier extraction of the other 2 wisdoms teeth who was also at Nicholas & Asp and didnt have any problems. I've also seen Dr. Heather at Motor City, think its Medi Centre. She is very good but sometimes hard to get an appointment with.
