Hi Ok quick question looking to sell one of our cars. Have been out the country and the insurance and registration has lapsed in this time (not been driven). We are moving and need to sell it - was going to actually sell it anyway before we decided to move as don't use this car. (20k since purchase in 2011). So just wondered what the process of selling the car would be, without insurance and car registration? If the buyer will need new insurance and will need to register the car in his/her name - just wondering what I should do? I can purchase the car insurance not an issue - but not sure if will need this to do a transfer or not, as the new buyer will need insurance upon completing the testing at the RTA centre when registering under the new buyers name. Also not sure if there will be a small fine for the registration running out? Anyone can help point me in the right direction would be great. Thanks

As she is back on the 10th July (didn't see the date there), you can pay her July salary when she is back as only a few days late.

Our first maid had the same issue as missed her kids and hubby, and was only 6/7 months into her contract. We asked her to stay until the end of her visa. You realise you will have to pay for her flight home too right - so are within your right to say no she's on a year contract. of course understand her situation is probably difficult for her. However, do believe if they see you as being weak they will take advantage. On another note, we are looking for a western family for our maid. We are going back home at the mid Aug. So looking to find her a replacement home at end of July when we are back. Although we are away on holiday from 3rd - 25 Jul so could help you out if you needed during this time - but have a dog so would be looking after the dog whilst we are away so could look to work on a temp basis / trial during July for you whilst we are away? If you are interested PM me

Basically you still pay her monthly pay as normal (as although she is away for a month, it's paid leave as you/I would have), so if you pay on the 7th of every month, then you pay 7th May, and 7th June as normal. If she is away on the 7th June then she will probably want the full salary before she goes. Talk to her - might be a case she will take half and have half when she returns, so has some money left over when she is back. Does that make sense?

Thanks guys.\ We looked in Marina Exoctics as love this shop. But non in there that I liked all were very uncomfortable and very pricey. if going to pay that money needs to be comfy. Looked in Pan Emirates and just had rubbish too, always a little hit and miss that place. Will try out The One though, just got dinning table and chairs there recently. Do love their stuff, didn't see anything in there the other month in MOE one though as have been keeping an eye out for a little while now. Will look at Freedom and HomesRus too. There is a lovely one we like in Crate&Barrel but is 20K - this is really over the budget a bit. Really looking at 7k - 10k max. ** Aylaali - ooooh this could be an option. Can you message me (not sure if there is a private message option on here, can't remember). If not will let you know my email address **

my DS is 12 (just) and has been going for past few months now - only with friends though. I will always pick and drop him off and he takes his mobile too. I trust that he is sensible, and is fairly mature too. I was the same age when my parents used to let me go in the UK, and I would get the bus to and from town too with my friends and spend my pocket money. I think you have to be be able to trust them, and also havr the respect from them too.,

Do you have a rental car? If this is the case, they keep hold of it to ensure you pay the fine, then you go to the station to collect it. It is perfectly normal (although slightly annoying and a little wrong) and very annoying when you have to sign the form which is in Arabic. Really should be in both languages. Hope you get it sorted

Thanks guys - I know that only a few airlines fly them. I have to admit I didn't think about the nose affect with the weather though. Will do some research. The amount of animals here that no-one breeds properly like back home (obviously you get puppy farms elsewhere too) but just seems all so cruel and the pet shops etc. Not heard anything on europuppy....?? seems a good service but again how trustyworthy are they with regards to genuine breeders / health of dogs? etc etc... So stuck on which dog to get we are used to labs but they are great but fancy a change - dont want a small dog looking for med-large. Have 2 boys also aged 10 and 5 years

Thanks for that might be an idea? Did she go back to the UK to get it too - just worried that breeders might be a little less inclined to be interested to sell to you? They seem very expensive here too.

Hi Considering getting a Boxer puppy and unsure what to do. I don't want to buy from a puppyfarm and seem to see so many fraud like adverts. Also don't like the thought of buying one from a pet shop either, as very cruel. Coming from the UK I would have always brought from a breader where I could see that mum dog and it would be brought up in a loving environment. Any thoughts/ideas would be great, as don't know what to do. If anyone knows any good/reputable breaders etc, please let me know. Thanks :)

Thanks do they speak English, as the message on the telephone is in Spanish and I only speak English so guessing they won't speak very good English? Did they provide you with a checklist? Can you not remember this and able to let me know if it was the Minstry of Foreign Affairs or Education? The person who is getting the job is very young, and I know they will probably just get confused and if I am able to help them give step by step advice to make it easier - they won't be too scared about the process. The best would be to contact the Consulat/Embassy of UAE in Spain to check with them. Their provide me a checklist what needs to be done and where to go step by step.

depends on what type of job you are looking for - usually each agency specialises in their sectors and therefore some are better for certain areas

If my boys hadn't done one in 24 hours it would normally suggest that they were constipated. Best action is cooled boiled water in a sterilised bottle. I know breastmilk has everything the baby needs but, this does wonders and will sort out the problem, used this with both my boys, as and when needed. I presume she doesn't normally got for 3 days normally without doing a poo .... ;)

Hi Ladies Does anyone have email or telephone number of their landlords....looking to perhaps move to The Villa, and would like to ideally deal direct with a landlord rather than having to pay agents costs. If anyone can help that would be great. Also there was mention of The Villa website - what is the website address for this? Thanks ;)
