A lady once told me, "friends for a reason, a season or a lifetime". This little saying has helped me understand why people come and go from my life and I dont end up having to go through the agonising analysis of what I did wrong and why the friendship broke down. When a friend goes from your life and you cant rationalise why, take a big picture look at the relationship and you will usually see why they were there as a reason or a season friend, maybe to help you get through a situation such as planning your wedding. Very few friends fit in the lifetime category and those friends are incredibly special and very rare gems.

[url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F7pYHN9iC9I'>link[/url'> Watch this, it shows how easy it is to get your details off the web. Slightly freaked me out when I saw it. Good luck with resolving and Etisalat should report it to the relevant authorities because its fraud. You may also want to report it to the police in case there are any issues further down the track. I do hope you have a good outcome and that they are helpful. edited by littleone on 10/12/2013

You need to get in touch with Al Futtaim Group - Dubai Festival City ([url=http://www.dubaifestivalcity.com/Dubai-Residential-Sales-Lease-81.aspx'>link[/url'>). I believe that the apartments and villas are very hard to get into. Good luck edited by littleone on 09/12/2013

Try amazon or try sedqui and sons at Dubai Mall. I was looking at one for DH and the amazon ones look quite good. edited by littleone on 03/12/2013

any many of us expats (not just brits) are guilty of some of these, particularly points 1 to 5. And I am guilty of # 50 today and with my last biscuit :-( Try Hobnobs there are the Marines of the biscuit world I am partial to a Tim Tam and bite a little off each corner (on the diagonal) then suck the coffee/tea through it.

I am getting bitten badly when I walk the dog. We have put it down to the parks in between the Shoreline buildings as there are little flying things there. DH is obviously not as tasty as I am as i was covered in bites the other night. Now I just stay away from the grass, had no problems.

Check out qantas as well, they are usually slightly, and I mean slightly, cheaper than qantas. The website sky scanner also has a good comparison on prices too.

You must be able to as I have seen some corporate shots that look decidedly boudouir-ish. Chaise lounge, fur rugs, shirt undone to the navel... and this was for a man! Why not google search some of the photographers and see what sort of shots they have, many have their portfolios on line.

I agree with AUSDXB, I would seriously do a considerable amount of research before making a final decision. Also the school year finishes in December, how will that affect your childrens schooling. Will you be working? if not how will you support yourself and if DH is going to subsidise you from here then you would need to check the tax implications of the funds coming in. Australia is definitely an expensive place to live and socialise and just as anyone does there homework when moving to Dubai, I would do some very serious research Oz. $1.50 a litre for fuel and cars, registration and maintenance are also expensive - lots of tax added on.

There must be something in there that is derived from pork. Like the macca's thickshakes, wasnt the old rumour that the thickening agent came from p!g trotters.

Hi HGL23, Your mum is lucky to have her daughter with her through this time. I would recommend that once you find an oncologist that you ask a lot of these questions with the Dr, it will depend on the treatment your mum has. My mum went through six months of chemo treatment and she didnt loose all of her hair but she did get hot flushes and nausea afterwards. For the nausea she would make fresh pear juice, it worked for her. Hot flushes were harder to deal with and she would just stand there and have a melt down. Mum didnt go with a wig as she had so much hair she really didnt loose that much. If you are going to be your Mum's primary care giver make sure you also have a good support network someone who you can just let everything out too. I was my mother's primary caregiver 13 years ago when she was diagnosed and it was important to have someone who I could speak with as well. Wishing you and your mum all the best through the treatment.

I had surgery in March with Dr Sobeh and to answer your questions, I am so happy. Circulation is 100% better! legs feel normal, no heaviness, swelling or restless legs anymore. My veins weren't visible but I can feel and see a massive difference. The site where he inserted the laser was numb up until a week ago almost to the day Dr said it would be. If I had to have it again, which is likely for my other leg, I would go straight back to him. I had a very positive experience from the beginning and I was absolutely terrified prior to my surgery. I did follow everything he said, pre and post op although I have been a little naughty and wear high heels to work! Good luck you are in good hands.

oohhh...bizarre...cant say I felt anything but thats when my flu kicked in and maybe I was too far away from the action. I dont get these feelings at home because its not a country linked to earthquakes, however I was born in New Zealand and I use to have a bad time there which Mum put down to motion sickness/fragile child. Glad you havent got the weird feelings must just be the tablets I'm taking and I could do with a hob nob right now!!!

Yes was away last week with no access to EW and was slightly immersed in Cosmo's so I cant say I put anything down to the weird feelings other than way to many Cosmo's and grape juice! Now I have a cold and feel really weird but I had a crazy dream last night and have been thinking of you today Tattie, wonder if there is something brewing in the universe.

sorry to revive this thread again but has anyone been to the Ritz at JBR for Xmas brunch? Friends are looking for a real family x-mas experience and as I have no kids I thought you lovely ladies would be the best place to source an expert opinion on the best place for kids and is the Ritz worth it or would you go somewhere else?

BubblingCreek, if this is the case you should contact M&S and report the incident particularly which store this occured at so they can do something about it as in educating the staff and raising awareness. Feedback for any retailer is the only way they improve things, whether good or bad. edited by littleone on 09/10/2013

Yes, but it was only if they had a property in the building we were looking for and wanted to view it straight away. Its a matter of luck whether you get a decent one or a dud.
