Hi Dimaa, Try Exhale in JBR or Zen in Media City, both do prenatal classes. If you google them, you can see their class schedules.

Hi You should take a look at the website babycare.nl, they are based in the Nederlands and their products are tax free when shipped here. So even with shipping costs, the bugaboo can work out a lot cheaper. You just need to be mindful of customs charges that may be applied here. I bought my maxi cozi and a few other pieces from them & saved a lot.

Thanks for the replies Daza & GerMumPer :-) Lots of helpful advice there - I've got a sling, so I will take that with me. As we haven't got a seat for baby, I guess I'll just pack up the car seat and check it in, one less thing to carry. Thanks again, appreciate the tips.:)

Hi Alowicious - thanks so much for taking the time to reply, lots of good info! We are traveling to Dublin, so the rules will be pretty much the same as UK. We're on a waiting list for the bassinet, but with it being so busy at Christmas, we may not get one. I'm sure the little man won't object to being cuddled for a few hours anyway. He's a very chilled out baby, so hopefully he will remain that way in the flights. My heart always breaks when I see a lady traveling alone with a screaming baby...hopefully that won't be me in a few weeks!! Thanks again.

DubaiBabies in Jumeirah town center sell the Belly Bandit ones. They have the Bamboo version which is really soft too.

Hi Pilatesmama, I didn't order the Bee with Babycare.nl, but I ordered the maxi-cosi pebble, the family fix base, the bugaboo adaptors and some other accessories. I found their service to be really good. The items shipped on a Friday with TNT and I had them delivered to me by Monday. They were well packaged up in boxes and there was no risk of any damage. I would highly recommend them. :)

Ok, thanks for the replies ladies. I was aware of the 'nursing' breaks already - but I kinda thought that the reduced working hours during pregnancy were too good to be true...oh well.

Nope, no bag for me either, apart from the little shopping bag bit for underneath.

Hmmm...looks like I just had a lucky escape then; I spent about 2700. I guess they made a mistake with mine in Customs. Although, Customes had opened the box to check the contents and sealed it back up again...

Hi DubaiCat - perhaps you spent more than me on your order and that's why you were charged duty? To be honest, I was expecting a customs bill with my delivery, but was pleasantly surprised when delivery guy said that there were no charges.. so, I naturally didn't question him any further!!!

Hi Ladies, My order from babycare arrived today - I spent about 3000 dhs, including shipping and I didn't have any customs charges! I'd definitely recommend it, they deliver really quickly, my order only left Nederlands on Friday...think I might be buying the rest of my stuff from them in future :)

Hi Sourskittleash - Just to let you know, Exhale in JBR just started the evening prenatal pilates classes on a Sunday and Tuesday - I was there last night and I had the instructor all to myself!! The evening pilates classes in Zen DMC are also really good.

Hi Ladies, I've just noticed that exhale in JBR are starting pre-natal pilates classes in the evenings from next week. I think they're on a Sunday & Tuesday @5.45.... Still a bit early, but a good excuse to escape work a little earlier!

Hi Norts - I know 5.30 is a little early, but I guess it's better than nothing as most prenatal classes are mid-week mornings. Hopefully someone in the pilates business will realize that there's a huge demand for evening classes for the working mums-to-be.

Hi Ladies, just to update you - Exhale at JBR have said that they will be adding an evening prenatal pilates class to their schedule shortly - They just need to confirm the instructor and timings. It's likely to on around 5.30pm

Just bumping this thread to see if anyone knows of any other evening prenatal pilates classes. I've tried Zen, but they are fully booked for the foreseeable future and have just put me on a wait list..

I'm also liking the 'blame the husband' excuse, I'm going to save that one for future dilemmas! As for the disguise, the ones that immediately spring to mind are: Little Bo Peep Where's Wally Roller Girl - (my favorite);)

Hey LMAO - I think I'm just going to tell my doctor that I was happy with her, however I have decided to go with AH rather than MedCare. Unfortunately, I don't know how to advise you about your 'next door' doctor dilemma....if it was me, I'd probably tell the current doctor that I was leaving the country...then i'd disguise myself for every consultation with her neighbor ;)

they def havent opened their books for march, i asked them last night- maybe they give it to regular customers first... there were a few cancellations yesterday at the last minute so it may be worth turning up and see? pain if you dont live near by but its an option :) Cakes, I might have to resort to turning up to every class at Zen and begging them to squeeze me in!!!

Sourskittleash, Caroline @ exhale is fantastic, I've been going to her regular pilates classes for the last 2 yrs or so. It's just a shame about the prenatal classes being in the mornings. I've just emailed the manager at exhale to query about putting on evening or weekend classes - you're right maybe if a few more of us emailed - it might work. Other option might be to approach Caroline and see if she was interested in taking a few of us for a class somewhere independently...she used to do free lance work before, but not sure if she still does....

Thanks for the replies Twin Butterfly & Cakes, I spoke to Zen and they said they are booked out for two months...but I will try calling again around 19th to see if there have been any cancellations. Looks like evening classes are hard to come by :-(

Thanks for all the replies ladies, I've changed to American Hospital now and am feeling a lot more relaxed about it now. I have a consultation with my new doctor in a few weeks. Now I just have to let my current doctor know that I won't be using her anymore.....eeeek!

Thanks soo much for your replies Tanya & Starsouthern; it's great to have so much reassurance and positive stories. I guess I'm just panicking a little as this is my first baby. I'll have a chat with my Dr on Saturday, she works out of Nicholas and Asp. I guess a lot of people's bad experiences could be down to the actual birth experience itself, and may not be the fault of the hospital at all. Anyway, thanks again for the replies. Tanya, best of luck to you for your impending delivery :-)

Thanks Sey83, that's reassuring. Maybe I'll just have a chat with my doctor about my concerns when I meet her next. I'm probably just panicking after reading the various reviews :-/
