Not according to the various American papers who reported on the incident...

He is a really charismatic political man, and a charmer with ladies. In the polls, he had a lead up on Sarkozy -- the current French president. His alleged behavior makes no sense. :(

I love strawberrynet.com and have been ordering from them for the past couple of years. Their prices on high end beauty products are sooo good compared to Dubai. It takes 2 weeks and my last order was shipped from Sweden, whereas it used to be from Hong Kong!

There is a couple of books with CDs that will help you prepare for the oral comprehension to some extent and also to the written comprehension tests. You can find the books at Culture & Co, the French bookstore on Oud Metha Road, next to Aroma cafe. Alternatively, those books are (sometimes) on sale as well at Alliance Francaise, on Oud Metha too, at the corner of the road that leads to American Hospital.

France ( sorry Sarkozy) was very keen in getting rid of Gadafi after Saif Al Islam accused Sarko of having accepted funds from Lybia to help in his presidential campain....Prior to these accusations France was fairly neutral... Yup! Two men with huge egos going at it!

I have been using the same jeweler (not Rishi) for 6 years at the Gold & Diamond Park... and I haggle. He knows I mean business, and I won't waste his time but I really bargain. I like bargaining so it comes naturally :) I have not seen the stone, nor the quality so it is difficult to judge with diamonds but it seems it's a bit expensive for 1 carat + chips.

Hi, Last summer we stayed at the Lucerne Hotel and absolutely loved it: http://www.thelucernehotel.com/ We are ex-New Yorkers and fairly demanding in terms of location and convenience.

We are totally addicted to Bentoya for sushi and maki but prefer bento boxes at Sumo Sushi. Yum!

Possibly, but I have had to pay duty when I ordered above $350 on Shop & Ship.

I have ordered quite a bit over the past 3 years from them and noticed one thing. Strawberrynet gift wraps everything and never includes prices; there is only a shipping list but never an invoice. I would feel safe ordering expensive products -- and actually do. I never order more than 3 products at a time (the more orders I place, the more discount I get).

When my friends receive a credit card for me at home in the US, I have them send it to the S&S US address. It generally works quite well, though last time (a couple of months ago) it took 3 weeks for the letter to show up in my S&S mailbox. I am not sure whose fault it was, but it was not fast! :(

There have been "bread riots" there the past couple of days. Unemployment, inflation, corruption... If you speak French, watch TV5 Monde, they were talking about it tonight.
