Where are you flying to? Maybe we can offer some ideas on different airlines? Thanks Marroosh, very kind of you. I've done all the search possible but because we can fly on specific dates only all other airlines are already nearly double the price (to Australia) I think a travel agent might be worth trying but I have never actually used one! I always book everything online as it's always cheaper. Should I go to dnata? I do not even know any other travel agencies here

The thing is we are both tall. And it's not always we manage to get the exit seats. This time it's a 2leg flight and I'm worried we won't get the exit row on the 2nd leg What airline are you flying? KLM for example has they exit seats which I usually book, and then there is the economy plus, which are the front row seats and they cost extra. Air France has it, BA as well I think. Virgin do too Was considering Malaysia airlines (no other options rather than eco or business)

You have to go direct to reservations and see what their policy is, it differs between airlines. Also computer systems will not allow two seats in the same name. Some airlines are requesting obese passengers to book two seats (preferably next to each other!) lol Can you not look at another flight or [b'>go to first?[/b'> Only in Dubai. I bet everyone on this forum is flying only business or first :) I wish :) Me too!

I know we live in Dubai but still :) I will call them, thanks, at least I can find out what their policy is and if there is a way of booking an extra passenger as 'extra name surname' I know they allow it in on some airlines in Europe

I'm sure you can - don't they force obese passengers to buy 2 seats? Just call them up and tell them hubby is morbidly obese... worth a try... What happens when you show up? blame the good diet? :) Worth trying I guess

It's called business or first class. Right Well, everything's sold out in business class. I just don't get it. Why wouldn't an airline let you buy an extra seat if you are willing to pay for it?!

I wasn't intending to see, but they invaded my eyes stepping out with the new bra and panties, yep I could see the big price tags on And that put me off even trying anything, just left what I had picked up after half an hour discussion with 3 assistants, I told them they are by this practice spreading diseases around for free, some of them not only washing will kill the germs/viruses some clothes need ironing after the washing, and these under were are not going to be ironed! edited by Gorobattie on 27/03/2014 That's just gross and totally unacceptable!

22k is doable, however, you need to consider how you want to live here and the reason why you want to move here. As for us, its mainly to save some money and so we spend only 20% on rent. If you rent a flat for 120k (and it won't be in the Marina as 2beds here are going for 150k now) then your monthly rent will be 10k. Now, are you ok to spend nearly 50% of your income on rent? All other expenses add up pretty fast: tv+internet+phones+other bills 2k, dewa up to 1k, groceries 3k (no kids here, mainly C4 shopping with odd visit to Waitrose p*rk section), car loan (2k here), alcohol (1-2 decent bottles of wine a week, some beers, and you are already 1k a month due to 30% tax.. there is a tax free option but we can't be asked driving there) That's already 9k The above does not include any holiday allowance (unless you do 1 holiday back home with tickets paid for?); maid or nursery if you work; going out (dinner at a hotel restaurant with a bottle of wine will be min 500.. and that's using the Entertainer voucher) Also, if you live further outside the city you will need 2cars IMO. You need to consider the expenses and then see if you can do it. Have you checked Dubizzle for rent? it will give you some idea about the prices Good luck

Went to Anantara last night for dinner and some drinks. The hotel looks really nice, had a peak at those rooms with lagoon access everyone is talking about :) i want to stay there too We first had a drink at the bar, I think it was Lotus bar. They have a happy hour 5-7 pm (buy 1 get 1 free on selected drinks) however, you are limited to having the same drink only.. Which is a shame if you don't like your cocktail. We then went to Mekong restaurant which was really good (Thai, Vietnamese and Chinese) Wonderful service, tasty food, the ambiance was nice as well. We used the Entertainer voucher. A booking is a must as they were full 7pm onwards. We thought we would just walk in as the hotel was new and it seemed empty in general, we were lucky to get a table. The Bushman's restaurant isn't open yet.

Loved Hoi An, also would recommend Hanoi, Halong Bay, Sapa, Hue. Hanoi and Sapa were my fav places. Ho Chi Minh 2-3nights max. A trip to Mekong Delta and Cu Chi (sorry for spelling) tunnels is a must. We did not find HCM too exciting, I prefer other places in Vietnam. There is a good market in HCM though, I will look for the name

Agree about San Giminiano, very nice place. I remember there was a weekend market when we arrived and we had the best p*rk sandwich ever. We stayed at a nearby town of Volterra Also agree about Pisa - not worth staying for a night. Florence and Siena, however, plenty to see and do Ah, also worth mentioning Portofino and Portovenere You may also like to check this website: emmavillas dot com They are Italian company who can help you plan different parts of your trip, rent a villa and even arrange catering (I know this as I wanted to do my wedding in Italy so had some contact with one of their agents) Each agent looks after a number of villas and would be your point of contact locally which I think is better than agents based outside Italy.

Riva beach club on the Palm. I have seen kids (+parents) parties being held there. Once they prepared a separate table for the kids and the adults were on the sofas. I think quite nice that kids can run around there (grass area and also the beach) The building provides a shade in the afternoon so it is not that hot

I can recommend the following places: Lucca - charming medieval town. We drove into it around 4pm, DH then went to look for a local speaking English and asked them to recommend a hotel to stay. Cinque Terre - 5 towns located on the seaside connected via train line (or you can do some trekking from one to another) It was absolutely beautiful. We stayed at La Spezia town and took a train to the first town and walked our way through all those towns, I think it took us a good 6hours. You stop in one to have lunch, then you get ice cream when you reach other one. Was seafood for dinner in the last one. Ohh I would go there again really. I remember seeing so many villas/hotels/rooms for rent in each town, I am sure you can find something easily. Same thing goes for the whole Tuscany - there are some hotels, however, there are mainly ecological villas/vineyard estates (villa ecoturismo/agricola). Again, you just pick your destination on the map, drive, and pick your night shelter on the way. There are some amazing places there just like in the pictures you see from Tuscany. Many make their own wine / olive oil / fruit and veg etc. Only one suggestion - try to find your accommodation by late afternoon as you do not want to be driving around in the dark searching for a bed :) Also did Florence, Genoa, Bologna, Siena, Montepulciano, and many other small towns and villages concentrating on this region only. I think trying to cover Venice-Rome-Tuscany could be too rushed as so many amazing places in Tuscany itself. We hired a car and planned our itinerary as we drove since we did not like some towns we had planned to visit and found some lovely places on the way.

I remember watching something on the news a while back (couple of years actually) where some patients with diabetes were kept on a diet of 500-600kcal for 2 weeks. It was done in a hospital as they needed special 'diet' of mainly protein shakes and vitamins, however, the research claimed that they managed to reverse diabetes. Maybe you could discuss some similar diet with your GP? 5:2 diet claim to be able to reduce sugar levels dramatically, too. You may want to try this before seeing a doctor. Could do 2-3 days a week and then drink that bitter gourd juice on the other days. Of course, you need to sort out your diet (remove/reduce starchy products, fatty products, sugar, alcohol, etc) and do more exercise. <em>edited by LovelyLilies on 14/01/2014</em>

Do not worry, please. The lawyers always take forever to draft emails because they know it must be written well otherwise it can be used against them, if you know what I mean.Who knows who called you, maybe not even a lawyer. As the other OP said, he does not want to deal with you hence passed it over to his lawyer. If they call you again, just ask for everything to be put in writing. Remember, you need proof of everything what they tell you.

I have not been to Tribefit yet so cannot comment on the classes. I was really tempted to try it out as I see the classes happening every evening on my way home and they do look cool and fun. However, I just found out that 1 class is AED100. I currently go to Corefit where I pay AED50 per class so I guess I won't be joining Tribefit anytime soon unless they make their prices more competitive.

Expo 2022 or Expo 2023 will be a "recognized" international exposition under the rules of the Bureau International des Exposition (BIE). Expo 2025 will be a "sanctioned" international exposition under the rules of the Bureau International des Exposition (BIE). So in general, they do happen every 2-3 years, however, those every 5years are more significant in size... London and Paris being amongst the possible bids for 2025

I think when you are married you should be sharing such things. You don't need to ask for permission but at least make the OH aware of your actions. I don't know what your situation is but do you have a joint saving account? He could then give his brother the money from his 'leftovers' if he has to and you might feel better about the whole thing

I think somewhere like Home Centre would have the type of baskets you are looking for - they have loads of different accessories. Other places probably would as well but Home Centre is very good value. With scented candles - Bath & Body or whatever it is called have a huge choice and they smell lovely, they also sell pretty holders to put them in. Please someone feel free to correct me with the shop name, I can't remember what it is called! Bath and Bodyworks close to Boots in MOE :-) And they currently have a '3for2' deal on most of the stuff. I got some candles and plug-ins last night and the cashier was really nice to suggest I did 2 separate bills to get the best discount (the cheapest is free obviously!) I think you might find some stuff at @Home, I saw they had sales at the moment (Marina Mall)

It seems that your DH might simply want to 'settle' somewhere for the rest of his life...France being the normal option for him. He would get a job, you will have a place to stay for free (for how long though?), the kids are at the age when is good to start learning French ;) then there is You... I think your husband sees you as a housewife, here or there, what's the difference? Maybe he thinks you like your life the way it is, being at home and looking after the family? He is the one who works, hence, a natural option to move to his, not your, home country. Does he know that you intend to return to work? Have you discussed it with him? It's very unlikely you will be able to find a job if you do not speak French fluently. Why not try to find a job here, you say you've been out of job for 4yrs, you should try to get back into it. Also, a 4 yrs gap would be no help trying to get a job in France. Have you looked at the money side of this move? Would his salary be enough to live a good life? Have nice lifestyle? What happens if you need to move to a rented flat, how would that affect the family finances? Then there are other things to consider: is France a good location to stay if you need to travel to your home country? Is it convenient? Most of the flights are from Paris, have you looked at the prices how much it would cost to go to your country? Is the area where he wants to move good? Good schools around? Etc etc. Why not move the when you learn the language at least? Give it another year or two here, learn the language, maybe get a job here for a year or so, then see how you feel about the move.

Check Kota Kinabalu in Malaysia, Borneo. It's 2-3hr flight from KL. They have several orang-utan rehabilitation centres, the nearest one would be at Shangri-La in KK, there is also mount Kinabalu which you can attempt climbing, good markets. You could also go see the Komodo dragons in Indonesia.. I've heard it's an amazing experience to go there.

We have many cookbooks but my favourites include Jamie's 30 min Meals, Lorraine Pascale 'Baking made easy', James Martin and Nigella's books for inspiration or ideas. I find many good recipes online on websites such as bbcgoodfood and foodnetwork. I love Ina Garten and her recipes! You can print off the recipes you like, otherwise, you can register with them and it allows you then save the recipes you like. I find using the recipes online easier as most of them have ratings, also suggestions for improvement or ingredient swap. Tempted to get my hands on the Hairy Bikers books, too :)

I have it... rarely wear it :) When I first got it, I wore it everyday (as per their recommendation), however, I did not see much changing. If you struggle in the heat like I do, their use outdoors is out of the question, and I used to wear them for walking only - too hot! However, they are good for the gym. They let your body heat up and the company claim that way you burn more calories, etc. I think if you wear them for exercise, you must also eat healthier to get some good results, otherwise it's a bit pointless. They sometimes have a deal on Groupon - that's how I got mine, oh, and they shipped it from the UK not America.
