You can do a visa flight on fly dubai to Muscat. Just call the airline and they will advise, you fly out and come back on the same plane. You do have to get off though but not through immigration. Dubai to muscat and back in 3 hrs. A friend of mine did it last week.

Try windex or any window cleaner, just make sure you have some leather cleaner ready to give it so TLC after the windex

It is much easier to import from the US to Dubai than it is from Dubai to the US. Have a look at http://www.nhtsa.gov/cars/rules/import/FAQ%20Site/pages/page2.html#Anchor-19914

The airline will noramlly require this information 72 hours before your planned departure. I did it a week before just to make sure :)

My DH and I were just in Santorini a month ago for a long weekend break and were also there in 2007 in August. We flew Emirates and connected to an Aegean flight to the island and it was all pretty easy. Definitely better than the ferry. Let me know if you have any questions about accommodation. Enjoy!
