Hi All, Wonder if you can help me, I've just moved into a new apartment in the marina that we've noticed has a damp wall behind the guest bathroom connecting to the living room, we need to get this sorted before we get the apartment painted. I've tried JimwillFix it but they don't fix these type of problems, since it will require breaking into the wall either via living room or bathroom. Can anyone recommend any good reliable building contractor that has experience of fixing such issues? Many thanks in advance S Hi If the apartment is new surely it would be coverd by the developers warranty. You should inform the building managment to establish the cause. That sounds about right about Jim not being able to fix it, I had once been given a shocking 9k estimate for a leaking A/C unit from Jim, it only needed the drain unblocking which cost 150 , never again ?

I have an online store, and used Ajman Freezone to set up. The cost was about 25,000 since it's e-commerce. I went straight to their office in Park Tower on SZR. For web development, if you are selling online, I recommend Shopify. You can set up Cash on Delivery or Credit Card payments. Paypal still doesnt really work. If you just need a corporate website, for a simple one use Wix or if you are a bit more computer savvy then Wordpress. Hi, agree paypal is not suitable here , try checkout.com , its come recommended by someone I know who uses it.

Thanks for this informative post. Just like to add regarding point 1, if your going to drink it the vineger should be organic, unfiltered apple cider vinegar (like Bragg’s) that also contains “mother,” strands of proteins, enzymes and friendly bacteria that give the product a murky appearance, and NOT the clear vineger. :)

The summer break starts right after Ramadan so it will be quite for another 2 months or so. Phillipino nationals seems to be the first choice for many practices here.

The documents should be sent to the Saudi embassy not the UAE embassy for attestation as its Saudi your looking to move to :) Also you need to make sure the solicitor is recognised by the FCO otherwise the documents will not be processed. All the best, the red tape starts before arrival

We purchased a so called ''demo" car from Al Futtaim and around 6 months later discoverd that it had been in a major accident when doing a transfer of title at Tasjeel as it failed the test, got on the phone to the salesman, and he never denied it, took it to managment and got a full refund after a lot of hassle, they did wrong and had no option but to refund as the option of a court case for deception and fraud would not be a good thing for them, would never buy a car or trust a main dealer again. We would have never known if it hadnt failed the test.

We live at JGE and the cost is AED 10000 per villa , it allows you membership for two adults , up to 3 children and 1 maid . Not sure iwhy the landlord has to pass on the cost to you. We are owner occupiers . I suppose it comes down to what you can negotiate . Hope that helps. It could be more in the region of 30,000 per family according to JGE website ? http://jumeirahgolfestates.com/club/membership/membershippackages Could be worth double checking directly, just in case !

Hi , it should be stated in your contract with regards to veiwings, its a really difficult situation, hope it goes well There isn't anything stated in the regular blue contracts. I checked mine and there wasn't anything in there If there is nothing stated then I would presume its up to you to decide if and when to allow anyone to view, I would set a certian time slot once a week, it really is disruptive to daily life :(

Good morning We're having our kitchen re-done at the moment and I'm really keen on Ikea. We've had them measure up and we're going to do the planning part next week. I know they install but they don't breakdown and remove the old kitchen. Has anyone had an Ikea kitchen installed and who did this part of the work for you? Also, it's Emaar, so we're dealing with them and their NOC procedure too. If anyone has any advise or guidance it would be much appreciated. FFx Try Maintain ME for taking out the old kitchen, highly recommend them and very cost effective, we had a bathroom renovation done and painting work, extremely pleased with the work and service. 050-3760-772, hope it helps and happy new kitchen : )

Thanks ladies. You can always rely on EW for the best advice. xx Another important point to note is - What does it say in your tenancy contract regarding terminating the lease early and any penanlty, the LL has the right not to terminate it early unless you find another tenant etc, before you go to RERA you need to be fully prepared so that you actually achieve what you want without being in breach of contract. Hope it helps and you work it out, all the best :)
