Hi, this might help. So my wife was diagnosed with the same issue and our doctor advised to use dilators to treat vaginismus. Luckily for us, she wrote the same in the medical report and also is...
Thanks Nicks. So it turns out that I can’t see a physiotherapist directly unless I’m recommended one by a gynecologist or if I’m paying for the physiotherapist’s session in full. Another hurdle is that Mediclinic health care city isn’t part of my insurance coverage. The thing is I’m trying to avoid visiting any doctor unless they come recommended as my visit to al zahra about this issue was futile given that they diagnosed me with vaginismus and gave me a cream to fix it - which by now we all know doesn’t nip the problem. Can you recommend the gynecologist who treated your wife? My situation is further complicated by the fact that I’m unmarried so from a legal standpoint I’m not allowed to ‘fix’ my problem. Oh well!

Hey there, put "mediclinic city hospital women's health physiotherapy" in the google search bar and it should take you to the right person :) hope this helps!
Thanks Meeny. Sorry I’m asking because they have over 20 physiotherapists and I want to ensure I’m reaching out to the right one. Vaginismus is a debilitating condition and most medical professionals are still pretty clueless about it. I was diagnosed by another doctor and was given pills and a cream which didn’t help at all. From what I’ve read, pelvic floor therapy and dialators help Which no one has offered me yet so I’m hoping she does.

Sorry to be so vague. I'm just never 100% sure of what is ok here in this region and don't want to get anyone into trouble (in this case the physiotherapist), I hope you understand. Yes I did see h...
Thanks for the confirmation. Yes I don’t understand the rules either. I literally asked my last doctor if it’s even legal to discuss an issue of this nature and she laughed it off. Anyway I’ve edited my previous comment. Appreciate your help!

Super late to the party - and I really hope you found a solution in the meantime! If not, try a women's health focused physiotherapist. They will help with pelvic floor problems (speaking from pers...
Hi Meeny, can you let me know the name of the physiotherapist at Mediclinic? I’ve checked out their site and they have over 20 physiotherapists working there :( thanks a ton!
