Try searching on websites like propertyfinder.ae and bayut.com, it will give you idea of the prices and sizes in different locations, it will help you to narrow the search to like 2-3 locations, which you can visit and go to the viewings to check out the quality and facilities in particular buildings. I work as real estate agent, so let me know if you need any advise or want to see some projects. Best of luck with the search :)

I visited it few times, and absolutely loved it!!! Unfortunately its too expensive for my family but I would love to live there if I could. Lots of cafes/ small retail shops are about to open, which will make it much more convenient to live in. and its so quite and modern, seriously a unique place for Dubai. I know someone who works there, let me know, if you are interested, i can share his details, and he can give you a better idea of the community Best of luck with the search :)

Hello ladies! to make a long story short, I'm living in Dubai for nearly 3 years now, was working in 1 company for 1.5 years with 15k basic salary, owner was extremely dishonest and stopped paying salary, then I was forced to leave the company and file a court case against him, which ruined like almost a year of my life. Since the day I left, I started searching for a new job on all the career websites like gulftalent, linkedin, dubizzle, etc. which wasn't successful at all. I've applied for like hundreds of positions with no luck. Has anyone been in the same situation in job search? Can you share some tips or advise what to do in this situation? Do you know some recruiters who can assist me? I found a job few months ago, but commission based salary only, which puts me in a very stressed situation. I really want to find something with a basic salary (I will agree even for much lower basic than I initially got) to help my husband financially and not to worry about the money issues. Thanks a lot for your help!

Hi, I live in Dubai for 3 years with my husband and we just moved for the 3rd time to a 3rd area. All of them really have pluses and minuses. I feel like the most important thing to consider is would both of you have cars or not. If not, you will have very limited list of options with easy transport access and stuff. But having cars would give you huge opportunities and in this case you should look at the budget, quality, preferable amenities and stuff. Feel free to ask more detailed questions if you are in doubt. Along with my personal 'moving' experience I recently started working as real estate agent in Dubai and can help you to find the best option. Best of luck :)

Good luck with the move! ;) I don't have kids but live in Dubai for 3 years now, 1st year I stayed in JLT which is across the road from Marina, which makes it a bit cheaper. The good thing about it is availability of different kind of things like easy access to metro, lots of taxis, groceries, pharmacies, restaurants, walking distance to the beach and stuff like that but its a bit over crowded, lots of traffic, no parks, etc. In my opinion its more 'couples' kind of area. But staying in a villa community without a car will give your husband lots of stress especially during hot summer months, as it takes time to get a taxi and stuff. You can also check out Shoreline community in palm Jumeirah, it has lots of amenities within walking distance, direct beach access, its within your budget and at the same time its a bit more relaxed comparing to Marina. Feel like its a bit general info, since I don't know much about kids entertainment and schools but hope it helps in your search!
