We sold our boat a few months ago and Kirsty sorted out the whole process. Certainly recommend Kirsty - she made it so easy otherwise I think we would have wasted a lot of time, effort and tears trying to get it sorted.

I have dealt with Kiran and Anil for over 16 years - even before they opened Cara. Friends, family, myself have always bought from them and very happy - and that's quite a few over all those years. Just wouldn't go anywhere else.

Hi i've just been through this with my dad. I couldn't find anywhere that does the pinprick test. We had to have the full blood test. Prices vary greatly. I was told by Medi Clinics he had to see a dr before they ordered the test - that cost over Dhs700. However, Medicentres the nurse just took the blood and sent it off that cost Dhs100. And then i phoned a lab in Dubiotech and they do walk ins which cost Aed30. All the above got the result back the same day although you had to put a bit of pressure on.

Dr Janice as mentioned above is excellent. I had been taking my daughter to Moorfields since it opened here. She has had terrible problems with her eyes since she was 3. Moorfields has gradually got more and more busy and you feel like you are on a conveyor belt and its more rush rush rush without things being property explained. My last straw came when my daughter was given a prescription by the cashier as it was in the file and nobody had taken the time to explain it. Even he apologized and didn't charge me. Dr Claire was very good and I do like Saj there but Saj's opposite number, the lady, is dreadful so be careful who you get if you go. Dr Janice is up to date with all the latest issues, my daughter spent an hour with her being properly checked a couple of weeks ago - i can't rate her enough.

We did the flight last year with a 10 and 7 year old. We are doing it again this year so it was bearable. Going is the most tricky because it daylight all the way but they did sleep for a few hours towards the end. Coming back is night time so mine slept most of the way back. The post below about buying toys and wrapping them up is exactly what I did and it worked really well. We gave them a pressie every couple of hours and said if they were good for the next couple they would get another one. I ended up taking quite a lot of hand luggage though. The A380 now flies the LAX route which i think will also be better than the 777 as there generally seems to be more room. And i keep ni the back of my mind the great time we will have when we get there!

There is no franchise law in the UAE. If you have an agreement governed under another jurisdiction then that countries franchise laws may apply but it would be best to speak to a lawyer in that jurisdiction. I'm a lawyer who does a lot of licensing agreements in the UAE that would mostly liked be classed as franchise agreements in other jurisdictions. If u let me have your email I can provide my details.

Has anyone replaced their wardrobe doors and if so who did it. I have had Creative Closets round but it seems such a big job with them as they want to rip out the entire wardrobe and extend it to the ceiling - thanks

Hi Rubic - are they recommending operating on your acute diverticulitis. I recently had a spell in the city hospital and doctor wants to operate in around June to remove the lower sigmoid section that got infected. However, researching on internet they only seem to recommend this if you have had a couple of attacks. They haven't recommended a colonscopy for me but a barum enema in a few weeks time prior to the op. which dr are you seeing?

cocopops I have the same problem as you. for some reason I can't access my hotmail account via Du as it says they have blocked it. Can access it on blackberry and at work. My account also got blocked a few months ago - but when I answered the security questions it did get unblocked. It took about a week though.

oh yes my house at Arabian Ranches was full of them - they even ate the backs of the kitchen cupboards. Steve at Ridapest is your man - he knows evertything you need to know about a termite - and not had any problems since he worked his magic.

HSBC are regulated by Jersey FSA which of course makes life easier than if you had to go through the central bank so are subject to western standards of regulation. I used to work for a regulator in the UK myself so am familar with how it works. I hoping I can bring a case through the DIFC courts has HSBC have offices there. Being a lawyer I am also fairly confident about the contractual laws here. So i'll keep you posted with how I get on.

I did lively and lost nearly a stone in 6 weeks. Would recommend it. I'm not a fussy eater so I found the menu fine. I am probably going to do it again in about a month when life calms down a bit.

I took a Mortagage out with HSBC in 2003 - yes that long ago. As part of my terms and conditions if i repaid the mortgage within 3 years of draw down I would have to pay a 1% early repayment fee. we are well out of the 3 year period I have never received any amendment to that document and I am now paying back my mortgage. They tell me I have to pay a 3% redemption penalty. Well I am going to fight them tooth and nail. Fortunatily they are regulated by Jersey so I am able make a complaint through there. I am also tempted to take them through the courts here - I work in that field so I'm not to dettered by it. I am just so fed up with such organisations thinking they can treat the ordinary person like this and we will take it sitting down. Well not this time.

Exactly the same thing happened to me yesterday and I sold my car about a year ago. I phone Salik and they told me it related to a non payment in 2007. Yes I did ask to repeat it and he said 2007 to which I replied you have to be joking! I have today received another SMS saying its been added to my account which doesn't have any car registered against it. The Salik man told me to ignore it so that is exactly what I am going to do!

Marriott Marble Arch - stayed there a few times with my two kids. You can all get in one room - there are two double beds. Its a 5 Min walk to oxford street and Marble arch tube. Kids get colouring pack when check in and theres a indoor pool. Wouldn't stay anywhere else with kids when in London.

I moved here 1999. I could get from 100 villas on Al Wasl road to my office in Deira - park and be in the office in 15 mins! Remember the bunker very well and Staying Alive in Bur Dubai was another favourite. Brunches were spent at the Alamo!

I am absolutely appalled by Bellydancer's reply. I suppose if she has daughter she won't be sending them to university as what is the point because in her view when they have a family they would have to stay at home to look after the kids. I have always worked since having my children both full time and part time. I don't feel I am a bad parent. It installs a work ethic in my children especially my daughter who can see she can have a successful career doing what she wants as well has having a loving family. True its not easy - but our kids get all the support they need from both parents and hopefully will grow up to be balanced individuals who realise that they can get good jobs which will see them through their adult lives.

Hi I might need some help in the summer for around 3 weeks as my nanny is away. can you post your email address - if i put mine its obvious who I am!! and then I'll get in touch. We are a british family who live in Arabian Ranches with a boy and a girl aged 8 and 5 - I work part time so would need somebody to help in the mornings before they go to summer camp and to do some babysitting in the evening if we go out. Thanks.
