Thank you all again .. Your replies are very comforting because my husband and family think I'm Nuts and don't want to hear about bats anymore lol ... I had read online that rabid bats or sick bats could be on the ground which is why I freaked out coz I know there was no swooping I would have noticed that ... Anyway I think I'm just going to let it go it's pretty doubtful there was a bat wrapped around his leg and he said nothing Nd I didn't see him thanks again

I actually went to an emergency intending to get him the vaccine ... There are not many places in Dubai that have the vaccine ... But the er dr thought it's completely not needed ... It's been like 8 days now and all drs are saying no need infact I can't even go to any more drs because the bite or whatever it was has healed and isn't really there ... So I'm still confused ... The other 2 bites are clearly an insect bite. ... It's just this 1 on his ankle which bothers me ( although it's not on the leg he said ouch to) he's been itching it as well so maybe he made it worse than it was ... It was basically red bumps I guess but then he scratched and they became raised and formed scabs ... Unfortunately I didn't seei didn't notice that I do before he itched it and made it look like that ... The thing is I'm not even sure if they were bats flying and I'm guessing I would have seen a bat on him it certainly didn't swoop in I'm just worried there was 1 on the ground and it crawled up him leg ... Would he have felt that? He's 2 and makes a fuss about anything touching him ... ?

Thank you all for your replies ... I've taken my son to 3 different doctors plus emergency at city hospital ... 1 dr thought we could get the anti rabies vaccine just to be safe while all the others thought it was completely unnecessary and dismissed the idea ... I'm still so confused it's been 5 days now and I don't know what to do if I want to get the vaccine I have to do it ASAP but I'm Reluctant to put a two year old through all that if it's not needed any opinions?

Hi I'm so glad I found your post ... My ds is 2 years old and he isn't exactly shy but he's started some sort of a stranger ( sometimes kid) anxiety thing around kids his own age and new situations so I'm also looking to help him be more confident with kids his own age and in new places and situations ... I don't live very close but I drive and can meet anywhere ...
